>pushing 30
>360k net worth
>still not a homeowner
It’s over for me, isn’t it
>>
I’m 36 and you’re doing better than me in terms of “net worth”, how about wife? Kids?
>>
>>61646867
Engaged. No kids
My ID is different because I left home to take the train to work by the way
>>
I'm turning 30 this year and I have about 10k in debt. Negative net worth. I realize it might not be that much, but for someone that has literally nothing then it's a lot.
>>
>>61646929
>Engaged
then you're ok
>>
>>61646852
Nah I fathered my first kid at 35, married at 36 bought house (cash) at 39. But your time is short. If you do nothing by 40 it's over.
>>
>>61646852
Nah I didn't get my house until 37. Spent $1.7 million (cash). It's great but it's a consumption item. The more tarded Americans get about needing to own a house to have succeeded in life the higher property values are going
>>
>>61646852
>27
>45k net worth
At this point I'm thinking of buying cheap land and putting a tiny home on it, hedging against property tax and rent inflation is now my priority over living a comfy suburban lifestyle
>>
>>61646961

You don’t become successful by comparing yourself to people who have nothing, that’s just a way to feel good about yourself
>>
my networth at 30 was 200k
now im mid 30s and own a house, married and am knocking on the multi millionaire door. first house tripled in value and i bought somewhere cheaper and made 500k there. i worked my ass off, my income went from 50-70k to more like 150k and i invested the entire difference. go married wife pays about half the bills and is worth between 400-600k herself. the compounded returns since the covid dip are over 4x now.

its not really about where you've been, its about where you're going.

Does your roastoid dislike you hanging around the house?

kek umad?

image having the option to work for 150k a year doing 20 hours a week for something you like. You will have to imagine, that's what I've made happen. make hay while the sun shines, this economy isn't going to last forever

Reading this thread makes me realize most people aren’t actually behind, they’re just measuring themselves against the wrong things.

You can safely divide by 10 all numbers mentioned ITT

I always laugh when i see guys with millions just rotting in their accounts. it's not really a flex.

Money doesn't really exist if you don't use it. It's even more useless since women make more than men now. Bones and hair >>money
>>
>>61646852
I'm 33 with a pregnant wife and a kid and we don't own a home.
We have like 300k but we don't plan on buying, renting a big apartment is convenient and cheap where we are.

Don't fall for the trap of thinking you HAVE to buy. You don't.
We move around a lot and renting is better for us and our kids, so that's what we do.

33 at like maybe 450k net worth.

I just put an offer on a house but the counter is too high. I'm in no rush because rates and prices are both trending down and I can live at home and save 90% of my income in the meantime.

You're in a better position than most anon. What do you do for work. I'm in my first year of practicing law so I will be making good money and don't really worry. About the future too much anymore. Although I'm no longer attracted to my current gf and I think I'm probably never going to meet another woman after I end it.
>>
I fucking hate that half this thread is anons saying they are pushing millions because the value of their home exploded

Housing as an asset is fucking retarded. As someone just getting into the market now it feels like the ultimate cuckholding. I'm looking at half a mil for a little bungalow in an ok area when that money went 5x further just 5 years ago.

It really is stupid to have people so reliant on their real estate being a large part of their net worth.

Can we please trade lives? I'm also pushing 30, unemployed-and-now-broke, yet own a home by the country club with the hottest LMT fiance in the state. I'm literally going to eat some buckshot soon if I don't start bringing home $700/wk again
