If you had a remote job, would you wagemax, build a side hustle like a youtube channel or learn to gamble with your savings?
i would be husbandmaxxing, leveraging my mobility to get a young up-and-coming careerwoman gf that needs to move around a lot in her 20s but will later yield babies

>>61647431if I had another WFH job I'd make sure I became proficient enough and found solutions to get my job done in about 1/8th the time of a normalgroid, and then job minimize and life-enjoy maximize while using my income to slowly DCA into stocks, metals and crypto.
I have a remote job. The most important thing is to geoarbitrage-maxx: a metropolitan salary in a LCOL/MCOL area means that you don't have to work as much, plus you get to enjoy a superior lifestyle compared to everyone else in that location. My suggestion; optimize for as much money as you can for as little effort as possible (or a set level of effort/working hours that doesn't make the wage cage constrictive). With this high level of income relative to your expenses, invest heavily, the younger you are the riskier your investments should be. Take profits once you make a big return (10x) and invest in securing your lifestyle; buy the house that you want, a car that won't break down and enough cash in liquid savings to be stress free. In this position, you are free to start side hustles with very little downside risk or negotiating reducing your work hours further

>>61647472So you'd try locking in a 2nd job?>DCA into stocks, metals and cryptoWhat's your plan here? Like, 1/3 to each sector? How do you figure what to get into?>>61647502Yeah, I moved somewhere LCOL, so I'm saving half my salary. Not really sure what to invest. I made a few hundred k in 2024 from crypto and lost a ton of it last year. My only plan was to wait for btc to fall this year and buy alts again with profits from the btc. That or go all in index funds while getting another remote job or building out youtube channels for more income. It seems both those options are harder than ever today though. Tech is in a practical recession and youtube is more saturated than ever by people fine working full time to make like $1/hr.
>>61647575>So you'd try locking in a 2nd job?nah I'm lazy as fuck, and even when you maximize your proficiency in a job you'll get random weeks that require a lot more work, or you'll get meeting conflicts that you can't resolve, so a second job could become a liability.>What's your plan here? Like, 1/3 to each sector? How do you figure what to get into?Right now I'm 50% crypto, 30% metals and 20% stocks. I can't claim to have the right answer, but I just think BTC/ETH/XMR are cool as fuck and have done well for me in the past so that's what I chose to maximize.Stocks I just go mostly VOO.
>>61647630Yeah, kind of worried for those bad weeks too. The main issue I'm finding is that it's tough as fuck to land another remote job anymore. Everything is hybrid and asking for several rounds of interviews and online tests to filter people. When I got my job in 2021 it was pretty easy relatively.>50% crypto, 30% metalsWould you buy any of these right now? I'm also mostly VOO. If BTC acts like a normal cycle then it should fall a ton this year? No idea why XMR shot up either. As for pms, they also exploded so much in price that I worry I'll be a bagholder, but then again I don't really see any solution to the fiat issue. I think last pm crash there was some fiat resolution.
