People seem to have forgotten the underrated quality of “illustriousness” meaning that gold and silver coins are desirable due to how mesmerized a person gets while staring at the metal in mint condition, especially when minted with a focus on having a brilliant shine. Gold is the most illustrious metal in the world, silver is a close second. That is why the historical ratios primarily existed. This is what crypto lacks. Don’t underestimate the “shine” aspect of precious metals. It may sound petty but it is what draws people to it. The picture on a digital screen doesn’t do it justice. You need natural light to shine off of it.
