Thoughts on this plan? Planning to dca every paycheck until I can retire.
50% Crypto - BTC/ETH/XMR
30% Metals - Gold/Silver
20% Stocks - Mostly VOO
>>
>>61647812
fuck boring normie portfolios go all in on funny stuff like emerging markets, long term corporate bonds, wheat futures
>>
retarded plan, read a book
>>
>>61647838
Can you name a better plan?
>>
>>61647812
100% physical gold and silver
at least until crypto and stocks crash, which they will

Is this a good opportunity right now to get into gold?
>>
>>61647860
Assuming gold and silver spikes more, wouldn't it be difficult to sell? If you can answer this, I'll at least buy 40k worth of it and maybe another 15k in my IRA

>at least until crypto and stocks crash
when do you think this would be? I've got like 105k in VOO from my 401k. What do you suggest doing with it? Nothing?
>>
>>61647812
Cute boy (male)
>>
>>61647812
50% voo
30% gold/silver
10% btc and only btc
10% cash

use the 10% cash to buy dips. thank me later
>>
I think you will get rekt and have decades of almost no growth.
>>
>>61648304
>>61648318
Also debating going 70% VOO (all from my 401k), IRA going to a BTC ETF and the rest self custody BTC. What do you think? I'd keep stacking for 5-10 years and hopefully retire by then
My main fear with gold/silver is having a hard time selling and storing it.
>>
>>61647901
gold and silver is not difficult to sell
any big city has a shop where you can make an appointment, walk in, and walk out with 6 figs in cash. easy
>>
>>61647812
Where can i see this bitch naked
>>
>>61648471
How do you think that compares to just sticking to VOO and BTC? Maybe not the most gains but my timeline is 5-10 years.
>>
>>61648304
>actual real advice on /biz/
i'd take half the gold/silver and try to secure RE. once you have one place to live it's not that big of deal but rentoid forever is a massive networth drag long term.
>>
>>61648304
You can also make a rule for your allocations, like cash should be no less than x% and no more than y% of your portfolio, so you automatically are inclined to reallocate capital into the investments that become cheaper from dips, and trim a bit from investments that may be in a bull market. Benjamin Graham boomer method but can be applied to other asset classes.
>>
>>61648495
you're basing your investments on whether or not you can save a trip to a store? seems pretty dumb but ok
>>
>>61649102
I'm basing it on whether I'm likely to profit more with pms or with btc 10 years from now, but you're right I should do the trips needed. Would you recommend swapping index funds out of a 401k too? Might only find a pm mutual fund or maybe I can self direct brokerage to buy GLD
>>
>>61647857
yeah, he did

read a book.

50% crypto ahahaha you'll literally never retire. more metals than stocks.HU HAHAHAH. seriously educate yourself. ask AI to convince yu about the math of a normal portfolio. Forget crypto. It's over.

imagine ai and robotics pans out and in 10 years you are sitting on your fucking cuck cryptos (worth 0) while the world experiences a massive productivity boost

ah yesbut this is /biz/ so nothing ever pans out an ai is muh NOT INTELLIGENT HURRRRR ITS NOT EVEN CONSCIOUS BRO. also youre a fool for being interested in metals at the top. if youre not exposed theres literally no point to it now
>>
imagine topblasting commodities which you dont even know shit about. who the hell looks at crypto and thinks hmm i will put 50% of my dca into there. only a mentally ill retard....but that's why you came to /biz/, to lose among losers

>ai and robotics
So, how are you investing in this? I'm ok going 0 crypto. I'm leaning more on gold/silver. The dollar looks pretty fucked.
>>
>>61649551
Learn about ETFs its the best way to invest in a sector. You dont just want to be in ai and robotics, you also want to hold some boring shit like those companies which you have never even heard of but apparently run half the economy .

broad market investing outperforms stock picking in majority of cases and it reduces volatility.
>Youre more likely to fuck up when youre -30% (psychologically)
>Most individual stocks underperform market

all kinds of reasons really

normal, educated investing is comfy. why risk your hard earned money on speculation when investing has been largely figured out? Keep adding and you've soon doubled your initial.

You'll find out more as you educate yourself

Metals are a greater fool market, just like bitcoin. Thats not to say they are a bad investment per se. Just trust me on this; When bitcoin is down 50% you feel like shit because it is a huge drag on your portfolio, and there is no reason for it to recover. Nobody uses it. If Amazon takes a shit tomorrow there is a good reason for it to recover. it's a cash cow.

another argument for a safe approach to start is because you are starting at the top. everything is at ATH except bitcoin which is a piece of shit

if you want to understand investing OP there are various things to learn. Thats why its good to read a book. you see, the numbers are fundamentally based on something even if they seem random. well, in theory...

>the price of a thing is the sum of all its future cashflows (discounted cashflow model)
>money loses value over time (time value of money)
>shareholder equity, retained earnings, dividend, ... (basic accounting)
>1 man (jerome powell) controls the value of your stocks

OTOH, you can learn all you want and still underperform S&P the next 10 years. so just buy big ETFs until you inform yourself. Historically the best is to simply be 100% in stocks. But the volatility is sickening.

>muh stocks
>in the age of fiat hyperinflation
Having more metal than stocks is absolutely based. Stocks at this point are just a hedge against clown world somehow surviving the next decade.
But you're too cornfed and retarded to understand what I'm talking about. Take the vax and own nothing, you'll be happy.
>>
>>61650283
Nigger I'd rather have bic lighters and an AK than gold during your larp utopian pipedream of a collapse, which will never play out the way you want it to
>>
^kek see that's the problem, retail morons with gold and silver and crypto are total cultist schizos even though the metals are a fine thing to buy. They just dont pump often and you miss many equity bullruns. Now pmg are cocky because they just had some gains after missing generational runs because the world is about to end any minute now. Notice how my post made him foam at the mouth? just some mild words triggered a tirade about the vax, jews, the WEF and flat earth... sad
>>
>>61650323
These are literally people buying AFTER the precious metals rally theyre genuinely retarded and broke
>>
>>61650346
Kek. like a law of fucking nature. The last retard to buy will be some mutt retard who says "bro" every sentence
>>
>>61650211
is there any particular ETF that you'd recommend for ai and robotics? Currently mostly in VOO from my 401k
>>
>>61647812
There is no doubt metal is over bought. but collecting shinny rocks is so comfy.
>>
>>61647857
>Falling for the pyramid scheme TWICE
Tangency portfolio.
>>
>>61650283
The government is just going to take your metals like they did last time. You're literally paying my future welfare.
>>
>>61650495
I dunno man, always go for whatever has highest liquidity and is favorable to you (currency and costs). It's really not worth it to get choice stress over ETFs. AI and robotics have a bunch of overlap. Realistically, if you have VOO you already have ample AI and robotics. It's the weights of sectors that determine your performance.

There are slop ETFs now too because of their popularity. low liquidity, high fees. avoid them. (an ETF is just a list of stocks. you could do it yourself)

The simplest example is buying an emerging market ETF alongside VOO or whatever. You might buy the EM ETF to reduce the weight of US stocks in your portfolio, in case you think they are overvalued or w/e your motivation is.

I have ishares RBOT etf

Yes.
Allocate less to risky fuck assets like crypto and focus more on stuff like equities or real estate. Also less in metals. Make it 10%.
This is financial advice btw

>>
>>61657195
No. I dont know enough about it. information is not useful. rabbit holes are too deep and even if you knew everything available to plebs the information asymmetry is huge. just buy all the good ones. My idea for the near future is to pay a little more attention to whatever AI recommends per sector, because in secret everyone is using AI to pick stocks now. I can mention Rockwell Automation as one of my good performers. but it is topblasted
