Even if scarcity isn't actually real, the matter of the fact is that free market capitalism requires the concept of scarcity to be real to an extent so as to manage the allocation of resources properly. 2008 ushered in an age of baby crib capitalism, there's since then not been actual, real free market capitalism. The feds paying interest rates on the reserves they provide means that commercial banks can just keep reserves as zero risk assets, as were previously assumed to be the case with mortgage securities.

Your thesis is wrong in and of itself.
The value of scarcity has nothing to do with modern markets. It is a given truth.

Lol, get out of here, Adam. You have no idea what you're talking about.

And now what if everyone found out that scarcity is fkn real. And what it means. Do me a favour - never let Germany forget. I bought then. when they sold at 65k

Central banks are able to pass monetary policies to expand or contract Fiat money supply. The paradox is that while this is the case, they still are forced to maintain an illusion of scarcity that doesn't actually exist. That is the point I'm trying to make. It becomes especially evident when you think about how commercial banks work among themselves, even while having direct ties to central banks that are able to provide them with literal infinite money, they still exchange assets. It is no longer about scarcity in itself, but instead an obligation to keep a system stable.
