1oz of gold is getting too expensive for me so I'm going to have to start stacking 1/4 oz coins (you don't pay capital gains tax on sales under ¥2,000,000). After calculating the buy and sell prices for various coins, I've decided to either go with 1/4oz eagles or LMU coins. Eagles would be way less of a headache to sell or trade while LMU coins would be much harder to sell but could potentially be profitable if there are people willing to pay for those specific coins.

Gold is primarily a monetary metal. Silver is monetary and industrial (and so the safest). Platinum is all industrial. The potential big upside for platinum depends on future use of hydrogen as fuel and that depends on the global economy not being derailed by a debt bubble collapse.

Another metal that is all industrial is Tellurium. It is relatively cheap, scarce, and useful. But low in liquidity.

(Message 1 of 2, hit the character limit)

Howdy everyone. Sorry for disappearing for a little bit. Work and other obligations have had me on the ropes the last two days. I read through the last few threads to see if there were any other design changes on the Frensmark people wanted to make, I saw one comment about the font which I thought was a good idea so I've taken it into consideration for the design, see picrel (the current design is at the bottom of the email). The scammark guy is still afoot, but it is reassuring to see that people are wary of him. I'm going to try and ignore him and his shills and just focus on getting this done properly and openly. This is a crowd funded community project and I want to do my best to make sure it happens with trust and verification.

Also, I have "hired" an artist friend of mine who is quite talented in the graphic arts to help polish and refine the design before we send things off to a mint to get die quotes and production quotes. (again, picrel)

If you haven't been following the "honest Frensmark project" as y'all have been calling it, these are the changes we have made to the design with y'alls input:

Fixed the grammar of the German text to properly say "one ounce fine silver"
Added the big "1" as an homage to the original mark coinage
Played around with English purity and weight denoting. We all came to to conclusion that having a small "Troy Ounce Silver .999" was best, just for clarity. It is an art round and not actual coinage, so it doesn't have to be completely accurate to the original mark.
We fixed the orientation of the eagle head so it is facing left instead of right
Removed the 2003 date from the front, we are thinking of having that blank space be the spot for the serial number
Flipped the orientation of the 2026 so the APU and 2026 read the same direction
>>
>>61657776
do wha???
>>
>>61657781
(message 2 of 2)

I am playing around with changing the fonts to a blackletter type face which again would be a fun callback to the font of the original mark. Let me know if this is something y'all would want or if I should tell the artist to drop the idea.

I have sent a few emails out to some mints, both local and large, just asking about general inquiries for custom minting at this time. I have not sent them the design yet, I am just asking about availability with how crazy things are at the moment. I also asked them if I could "lock spot price" by offering my own personal silver as collateral, just to get the ball rolling. It would only be 100-200oz of my own max, but it would cover some of the upfront costs immediately. We will see what they say and I will post the replies when I get them.

As for actually getting a presale done, I am going to lock in a mint who can do the design, post the quotes, and then once that is done, run the presale on either shopify or a crowdfunding website. Usually mints will lock your quote price for 5 or so days, so the presale would be for that amount of time. Pricing will be something like this:

[(cost of the dies + production costs)/total rounds we mint]+mint locked spot price+[(total cost of all the shipping supplies+capsule costs)/total rounds we mint] = cost of 1 Frensmark round.

I have a lot on my plate for today, so I won't be around too much in the threads, but I will check back in at evening time for feedback and comments/ questions/ concerns and put them into my logbook.

Take care frens, looking forward to making this project happen the right way at long last.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Your chart describes a fad. Some stock that rises and falls. What we are experiencing is the Death of the World Reserve Currency. Not only is there no comparison, there is no real precedent for this beyond horrifying historical examples like Weimar Germany and the fall of Rome.

This ends with a collapse and an entirely new paradigm.
>>
>>61657795
It is an idea. I will write this down as well. I live close to the artist so we may meet up and hash things out in person and go over multiple designs together. I will come back in a day or so with a few and we can choose which version we like best to send to the mints.

I’m primarily a silver stacker, but I can imagine an extremely unlikely, but plausible scenario in which the US government reprices gold to $25,000~50,000 in order to try and pull some sort of financial alchemy to try and distance themselves from the national debt/US credit rating

Or

Introducing some kind of gold backed t-bill in order to trick foreigners into investing in us debt again, which would probably have similar effects.

And so for this reason I keep a tiny amount of gold as a hedge.

It's honestly mindboggling how America was the sole and unopposed superpower of the world with no one even coming close.
Industry, Finance, Culture, Diplomacy, a total domination on all levels.

It seems like they got so bored of success they actively want to try failure on purpose.

Hello fellow maple syrup chuggers. Canada post has 2026 1 Oz maples with various privy stamps on them for 8% over spot currently. Keep an eye on spot prices next week. Could be a great slurp to grab privy maples at or near spot. They are usually located in a glass display case however sometimes the worker will not restock the case and there will be some in the back. It doesn't hurt to ask.

This happened about two months ago when most 2025s were priced at 115 CAD and I went around to various locations and bought whatever was left (which wasn't much).

Lads, whats this shit im hearing about banks de-banking high worth clients for buying bullion? Is this just rumour whats going on?
>>
>>61658215
Banks have never endorsed coin dealers or buying bullion but it's been a fringe issue for years
>>
>>61658215
Capital controls to prevent capital flight out of the dollar.

The "the massive number of customer complaints" from online bullion dealers due to shipping delays caused by the tidal wave of new orders causing inventory issues over the past month or so has lead banks to rejecting orders due to "fraud" concerns.
>>
>>61658097
>>61658121
>>61658110
So this is more complex than I thought. The price increase we are seeing is only for direct-to-consumer sales from the U.S. Mint, which I imagine come in the little presentation case. How are dealers able to get tubes and monster boxes while avoiding these premiums? They have to become one of the <20(?) Authorized Purchasers with the U.S. Mint. At this point, they can get min qty 25,000 Eagles at spot +$3.05 per coin. This isn't changing, so dealer price shouldn't actually be impacted.

>U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 10 percent tariff on eight European countries that oppose U.S. efforts to acquire Greenland.

>The tariff will impact Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland starting Feb. 1, according to a Truth Social post on Jan. 17. The countries are all NATO members.

>“This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland,” Trump wrote.

>“The United States has been trying to do this transaction for over 150 years. Many Presidents have tried, and for good reason, but Denmark has always refused. Now, because of The Golden Dome, and Modern Day Weapons Systems, both Offensive and Defensive, the need to ACQUIRE is especially important.”

>The tariff will increase to 25 percent on June 1.

>Trump previously threatened to impose tariffs on any countries that opposed his plan to acquire Greenland, which he urged America must control to protect the Western Hemisphere.

It's actually a really good criticism. We need to have a purpose and a strategy. Sure, we could be seeking to cause a movement to sound money, but are you actually making it happen around you? Are you circulating silver dimes and quarters for goods and services amongst friends and in your community? Why are you buying silver and what is the goal? With this goal in mind, at what point and by what approximate time do you exchange or utilize the silver you have accumulated? Many, many, many PM investors have no exit plans or plan to separate from their money. Money exists to be spent!

>Assuming President Trump implements the 10% and then 25% tariffs, the economic impact on the affected European countries would be significant. The previously mentioned 1% GDP growth reduction refers to a reduction in the overall GDP growth rate. For example, if a country was projected to grow by 2% and the tariffs reduce that to 1%, the impact is a reduction of half of their expected growth.

>European Union Retaliatory Tariffs
In response, the European Union has prepared a list of targeted U.S. goods to hit with retaliatory tariffs to inflict pain on specific U.S. industries and states. These lists are extensive but focus on products that are politically significant to the U.S.

>Potential U.S. products targeted by EU retaliatory tariffs include:

>Agricultural Goods: Basedbeans, corn, beef, poultry, pork, fruit (cranberries, oranges), vegetables, nuts (almonds, pistachios), and spirits like bourbon whiskey.

>Industrial/Consumer Goods: Aircraft and aircraft parts, cars and car parts, industrial machinery, chemicals, plastics, textiles (jeans, clothing, handkerchiefs), and household appliances (dishwashers, washing machines, ice cream makers).
Impact on GDP Growth

>The potential reduction in GDP growth is a loss of potential economic expansion. The following table illustrates the potential impact for each of the eight countries based on projected 2026 GDP growth rates if a 1% impact on the overall GDP is assumed, representing a significant challenge to their economic outlook.

>Overall Global Market Risk
>These actions are exacerbating existing global economic and geopolitical uncertainties. The market has already responded to the trade friction and supply issues, which has been a primary driver of the current high price for silver (around $92/ounce).

>Analysts note that the situation creates a complex landscape where the safe-haven demand for precious metals is counterbalanced by a potential reduction in industrial demand from an economic slowdown.

It's hard to imagine as we are blinded by normalcy bias. But economic events do not happen in a vacuum. The problems will likely arise in the bond market and the need to find safety will have ungodly amounts of wealth trying to flood into the safety of metal. Paper millionaires don't realize their "wealth" is all a fiction propped up on leverage. So in the same vein they had money flow into their portfolios, when the debts get called it in will all flood out, much like squeezing a sponge. Why people don't understand the sponge is saturated at this late hour of 2026 is beyond me. They likely haven't a clue the danger that exponential functions pose to a world of finite resources.
I think we'll be astounded by the NEED for a safety asset that its value will far exceed a proper valuation on its own utility and fundamentals. As your fiat dollary doos continue to erode X% every single year, month, and week, you won't really have any attachment to your portfolio. It will look like a liability more than anything. The collapse will look like a massive deleveraging event with the Fed printing trillions. It'll look like someone trying to throw buckets of water at a nuclear core meting down. So if you don't lose in the crash your dollars will shit the bed as they end up trying to buy everything at "full price" to prevent the overleveraged banking system from imploding. They can really only safely solve the problem for themsleves by revaluing gold. Silver will have to follow suit and the GSR will probably collapse and make inroads against the value of gold.

>Scenario Analysis

>Conservative: This outlook assumes that central banks' efforts to control inflation succeed, the trade war is contained to these specific nations, and new mining supply can eventually respond to high prices. It suggests a potential market correction from current highs before a steady, long-term appreciation, though still well above historical averages.

>Standard: This scenario is the most likely consensus among current analysts. It incorporates the ongoing structural supply deficits, strong industrial demand (especially from solar and green technologies), and persistent geopolitical uncertainty created by actions like the Greenland tariffs. This forecast sees silver outperforming gold and a likely compression of the gold-silver ratio.

>Extreme: This outlook assumes a full-blown global trade war, a severe economic contraction in Europe, a devaluing U.S. dollar, and a potential "global currency revaluation" event. This scenario also assumes that physical silver shortages in major hubs like London and Shanghai intensify, leading to a historic redefinition of silver's value as both an industrial and monetary metal.
The high volatility of silver means that large percentage swings are likely in any of these scenarios. The current price of around $92/ounce is already at the top end of what some banks previously called the "optimistic scenario" for the entire year, highlighting the extreme market conditions currently at play.

can you avoid premiums on pure bullion with sterling maybe? those would technically be jewelry, antiques and housewares not precious metals. it's 92% the same value by weight. I've always wondered why places like Europe have insane VAT and premiums on silver when it's cheap and tax free in the Americas.

>silver demands will continue rising at astronomical rates due to immense industrial demand that will predictably continue increasing substantially over time

>>61659190
Wrong. The fundamentals are causing this supply crunch as it is, and the entire globe is now potentially limited to the $850M ounce production per year. There really isn't a lot of room to allow gold to be sold in order to swap it for silver. That trade pressure is meant to pull prices closer; in this case the GSR. God knows, if we ever hit 100:1 GSR again I'd make that trade immediately.

Anon, we went from the ratio being 1:100 down to 1:50, going on 1:49

The ratio keeps tightening everyday. We are going to see 1:15, and soon after, 1:5.

The real magic happens when the ratio goes 1:1 for a period of time, and then flips, to 2gold:1silver

Gold has always been recognized, silver, has always been ignored and suppressed.
>>

I think jews are ok to kill us dollar but they don't want to revalue different assets. House pricing, car pricing was always bind to gold so it's still like this today.

>House pricing
It's bound to silver. When silver was $30, a 1960s median house was $300-400k, now it's about a million. That's what people are seeing now. A new house, solid and of good quality (as far as stick frames go), big enough for the needs of a nuclear family.

>I NEED a $1M house
That's ludicrous
>>
>>61659290
>I think jews are ok to kill us dollar but they don't want to revalue different assets.
I don't know how they can pull that off. The dollar, the bond market, the banks and insurance along with Wallstreet feel way too interconnected for them to somehow pull off a "switcheroo". To do so would be to monetize all of those debts, and once all of those currency units are not paying off debts (deflationary) then will immediately start seeking goods (inflationary). Trade tensions are already too high, and without the massive trade deficit to secure goods to absorb inflationary pressures, things could get dicey very rapidly.
