There's a battle between jew banks and the biggest american crypto exchange about the codification of crypto into US law going down RIGHT now, and this board is dead and no one cares. What is happening?
>>61657473crypto is dead loser, move on
>>61657476To what?
>>61657473This board as a crypto board is fucking shit now and the jannies killed it
>>61657574buy his silver bags saaar
>>61657473What's happening in the battle anon?
>>61657473A-are you ADVERTISING an NFT? Did you just mention CRYPTO?! CLEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAN IT UP JANNIES!!!@In all seriousness though the reason this board has gone to shit is because you insufferable faggots mass report each other either out of spite or to snuff out competition for mindshare. But mindshare from who, /biz/ is only a handful of us anyway there's zero traffic here.
>>61657473>>61657473Nah you're right for wanting to talk about it. /biz/ has just fallen off in recent years the way that other 4chan boards have, it's more about maintaining the status quo of shitposting certain memes than it is about current events in the space. So many boards are reduced to that, where at best you have some fucking indian posting a pic of something barely relevant captioned with "what did he mean by this?".That said, it's clear that coinbase is in a snag. Given the ease of transfers and possibility of self-custody in crypto, they have to convince their users of a reason to actually keep funds on the platform. Because if you're not an active trader, why wouldn't you just keep everything locked up in a trezor that you manage yourself? They get trading fees, sure, but I suspect that the money to be made on lending out people's stablecoin deposits in return for interest would be much more. They also see the writing on the wall; as institutions flow into crypto you'll likely soon be able to trade SOL and ETH via US Bank kek. Why would you need coinbase at that point? What I don't understand is how coinbase is being propped up as the reason all this is being halted. They don't directly vote, so do they mean that the senators they've bought via lobbying are looking to pull out? I do really hope these people come around. This is just a fucking stupid dely. Institutional involvement in crypto is an inevitability. Tokenizing all of the assets that are transacted in the current marketplace is also inevitable. It will be done, so delays like this are just a pointless annoyance.
>>61657796Its just 3 dem senators that stopped the markup, thats it. Its really not stopped forever or anything like that.
>>61657476This. Everyone stopped caring after 2024. No one cares about coinbase, CZ, Elon, shib, or anything else in the space. Coinbase tried to onboard 6 gorillion goys onchain and it failed miserably, so they ended up pumping and dumping their Base chain before chasing everyone away from that which is u fortunate because I was a big believer in it in the early days. The whole space is nothing but a scam and there’s only so many years you can jew people before they eventually move on to other things.

>>61657473Can a burger explain why they can't separate the bill so that stable coin shit gets delayed but defi shit passes?

>>61657906Because we it’s theater, we have no say in any of it.Prove me wrong, hold a public vote on the blockchain then we’ll see what the majority wants. But does it matter what the majority wants in a democracy? Of course not so sit down shut up or we’ll burn your house down GOYIUM

>>61657847I hope you're right, retail is cooked in crypto and obviously can't bring the space much higher than maybe 5T total. It's time to move up to bigger and better things, use this shit for something real.

>>61657473every one left or roped after 10/10
>>61660940It's a clusterfuck where 2 different departments are working up draft bills, that separately need signing, then those two bills need work to join them. Then it goes to the senate for them to have a view, then goes to the president to sign. Meanwhile they can't even get either of two draft bills to congress and if anything they're moving backwards. All this in the context of needing it to pass before the midterms because it's agreed the house will go democrat at that point and no crypto bill or any bill at all will pass until the next gov. It also has to realistically be passed a good while before the midterms because in the run up things become distracted and obstructive and nothing passes.
>>61658889Mega 589 checkedYes it’s true, xrp created the first DEX and is 100% American Made, xrpl is an exchange for ALL ASSETSSuck it losers
>>61661860If democrats win then why is the government basically shut down for crypto until the next government Why are democrats such huge faggots against crypto
>>61661978Dems don't like crypto but even more pertinently just tends to be the case that once the rival party takes over the house the name of the game is complete blockade until the term is over.
>>61657796We are over in /out/ and /ck/ now a lot.No gays over there like here.
>>61658239Anyone mentioning cycles is retarded.
>>61657870ThisIn addition, the time, energy, computational power... just the absolute waste of resources to perpetuate a ponzi when at the end of the day you are owning nothing but a string of numbers you have to off-ramp to a legal fiat currency anyway is just another example of bovine America's dying IQ. All of this capital could have been invested into real quality assets in an attempt to gain back some level of prosperity for the United States. But no, you have over 50 million Americans who hold Crypto and a huge culprit is the credulity of millenials and Gen Z to believe some anon post of a distributed system thinking they are rebelling or understanding some loophole in the financial system; they want to make a difference, but they lack common sense. Most people I talk to with knowledge of DeFi, even friends, none of them have any interest in the proper education of economics, finance, history etc and many of them, well into their 30's adorn these pathetic cameos like it's some online game avatar or something and jerk each other off in satellite Discords for dying protocols or rugs disguised as ventures. Despite the MSM pushing Crypto narratives now, (probably so the institutional ETFs can offload their shit performing assets), stablecoins are the only thing this space has to offer and the technology will just be used to surveil and control the flow of capital from the masses even further. The greatest slaves are those convinced of their freedom and cause ffs
>>61658248>fomoing in hard when the time comes.>Alt season soon!?!?! Crypto is unironically dead. Bitcoin did well and solana. That's about it. Alts are dead and never hit aths. No one cares about development anymore. And on top of it all silver and space stocks are out performing it. All of the risk of crypto but none of the rewards. Its failed.
>>61662518You're a fucking idiot that thinks he knows shit but you actually don't know anything you retard. This is a textbook example of a midwit: somebody who doesn't know when they have no business being confident.Ask yourself, why is it that the BIS (I probably have to spell it out for you: THE Bank of International Settlements) has recently given the green light for banks to carry a percentage of their holdings in crypto? Is it because they think it's a scam too? Why did Vanguard recently change their mind about crypto funds trading on their platform? Fidelity bent the knee a little while ago. Ask yourself why? It's not a scam you absolute dumbfuck, but you are probably too stupid to understand the importance of what Satoshi Nakamoto did for the world.
>>61664343Not to mention everyone laying the groundwork for tokenized stocks and other assets, while literally telling people that's what they are going to do. Still frustrating about the government stalling the bill for no good reason.
Just kind of waiting to see what's going to happen, not like its going to matter what I say about it
>>61664343lol, lmao even
>>61664343Its insane. I tell people point blank that literally every bank wants to move to a world where everything is tokenized. They then ask why. I tell them its because of 24/7 trading and opening more revenue streams as you can turn certain things to financial products with blockchains that you couldnt before, here are the CEOs of banks saying thatThen they say thats stupid and look into the void. Like wtf??
>>61657473All the feds here are anti crypto.t.fed
>>61665959even if they wanted to tokenize the world, that has nothing to do with your shitcoin lmfao, token not needed.
>>61660940>current stateThe SEC and CFTC both claim authority over crypto. No federal law defines which agency controls what. Companies operate in legal uncertainty.>CLARITY ACT (H.R. 3633)Proposed federal law that would:• Give CFTC jurisdiction over digital commodities (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)• Give SEC jurisdiction over securities-like tokens (investment contract assets)• Create regulatory framework for stablecoin issuers (bank regulators)• Establish registration requirements for exchanges, brokers, dealers• Provide safe harbors for DeFi developers>STATUS• Passed House (July 2025) - 294-134 bipartisan vote• Pending Senate vote - scheduled early 2026• Has industry and bipartisan support but faces stalling over stablecoin yield restrictions>OTHER ACTIVE LEGISLATION• GENIUS Act (passed July 2025) - Creates stablecoin regulatory framework• Digital Asset PARITY Act - Proposes crypto tax clarifications (de minimis exemptions, staking treatment)• CFTC "Crypto Sprint" - Rulemaking on spot markets and tokenized collateral (target completion August 2026)• CBDC Anti-Surveillance Act (passed House) - Prohibits Federal Reserve from issuing central bank digital currency without Congressional approval>IMPLEMENTATION TIMELINE• If CLARITY passes: Regulators have 12-18 months to write detailed rules• Stablecoin rules: Expected finalized by mid-2026• Tax clarifications: Expected by August 2026>WHAT THIS MEANSClear rules would replace regulatory uncertainty with defined compliance requirements for crypto businesses and users.
