I like to buy coins on ebay when the pricespikes because it eats away at the premium.
It doesnt really make a difference because it was the same price, but it feels better in my brain.

this round is similar to norfed. I'm curious if any of you have heard of it. I like how they did the money symbol. Probably out of fear of what had happen to Nothaus the year before.

there's a lot of newfaggotry abounding. which i fully welcome newfrens and anyone who stacks silver is my brother in arms. but with that said:

always check the catalog before baking a new general
the image for the general should always be of precious metals or something that makes it obvious that it's pmg
keep ai slop to a minimum no one likes to see a dozen gens of the same thing
no need for hostilities toward other stackers, direct all malice towards our designated posting dalit

thank you

Stocks do well in non-inflationary periods as theoretical the stock value would go up with the company, not requiring inflation like gold or silver. But the Central Bankers will never stop printing. And stocks could get dicey in the next 3-5 depending on what the government does.

The real first inflection point is in the 120-140 range when the all the solar and EV companies will have to decide whether to try and retool to use shit ass copper to try and keep prices down or ride the silver dragon. Note that all these companies, especially the chink ones, have abysmal balance sheets and are basically only being kept afloat by the government. It doesn't really bode well that they were already in the shit when copper prices were at 4.5 and silver prices were at 30.

This is a MAJOR happening. This is how it starts. High premiums and pricing out retail. They don’t want you owning silver. Also one might conclude that there is a major shortage of silver about to be exposed so they are trying to eliminate a pool of buyers before a mass panic

It's crazy how the idea of "trying out Silver" has become impractical in the past couple months due to price. My advice to people in the past would've been to buy an ounce or two just to see if you like the metal, but now you already need to be committed to Silver to spend the amount needed just to get a starter stack.

>Is there any precedent for manufacturer / industry that use silver to buy them from end user
The easiest way for industry to get silver from the end user is to see the price moon. Boomers bring bars/coins/junk to the LCS, who then ships it to the refiner that tests the 999/9999 and remelts the tested into 1000oz bars which are again tested, which then can go directly to industry.

Can you imagine trying to do inventory of a few thousand different types/sized of coins, bars, rounds, as a large industrial user?

Additionally, one contaminated bar could ruin a multiton batch of soldering alloy costing millions in lost productivity and re-refining costs.

Even if you had a 1000oz bar, Tesla/Samsung wouldn't want to buy it from you because they would have to cut it up first to verify it hadn't been drilled and filled.

When I first got into Silver, I made a small purchase on a whim before getting serious about stacking. Now it's impossible to make a "small" purchase.
People who are on the fence and need a little push to start buying precious metals are more likely to remain on the fence now instead of spending a few hundred bucks just to get a few ounces only to panic buy when Silver's gone up by another hundred.
>>
>>61664855
What I think will happen is that banks and large credit unions will get "certified" metal desks to receive bullion only. It woill have to happen. Silver will go to mid to high hundreds of fiat per ounce, or even thousands. The jew at the LCS or pawn shop wont be able to procure that much metal from stackers for lack of credit. Each transaction could be millions of fiat dollars. It may also require a "gov backed" LCS, regulated by treasury perhaps. I dont see another way.

It's easy to extract the gold from them. Then you could turn that gold into very tiny coins that people couldn't easily verify, and would be very easy to lose.

But perhaps, maybe someone could take that gold from melted Goldbacks, and make a format of spendable gold, perhaps a very thin layer of gold sandwiched between two polyester sheets, with anti-tamper features, and anti-counterfeiting features, that could be tested for purity non-destructively with an XRF, that people could trade back and forth to use as money.

What a cool idea you have.

We’re just entertaining scenarios, relax. I don’t think the earth is flat but they lie about numbers, but I can’t say for sure as I’ve never personally seen the curvature of the earth. I know we never went to the moon. We’re definitely not spinning at 700-1040 mph depending on where you are on the planet. We’re absolutely not moving around the sun at 67000 mph. The whole solar system most certainly is not whipping around our galaxy at 500k mph, and our galaxy isn’t moving at 1.2-1.3 million miles per hour. Heliocentric model is dumb, if it’s round we’re certainly geocentric judging by Polaris and other constellations in the sky.

why aren't you stacking aliens
>>61665089
yes anon I actually TRULY understand what I'm talking about and I don't agree with you. If the Earth was flat travel and navigation would be full of anomalous travel times. It's not hard to understand

been busy doing /o/ shit.
any news on silver today?

Doesn't that seem arbitrary to you? Remember silver will never hit $50

Three days ago my lcs had a spot price deal day. They let me buy grams AT SPOT for some fucking reason. I only got 35 at the time since that's all I had in cash
>>
>>61665115
I know. It’s bad but it’s an option though if prices get too insane.

No plus you get 1% back on the purchase.
If you use something like klarna you can buy Morgan's for 4 payments of 4% interest free plus cash back

>You're ignoring the fact that goldbacks sell for way, way more than the actual value of the gold contained within them
No I'm not. That's called seigniorage, and it is the value added minting fee/imprimateur.

It becomes a permanent part of the value of the instrument, because for the convenience of tamper evident, anti-counterfeiting features and usability,

Goldbacks are NOT for stacking gold. They are for SPENDING gold. Two completely different use cases. Personally, we only have a couple because we think they are really cool. They are a viable form of spendable specie money.

Compared with tiny gold coins, which we also have a few examples of for collection purposes.

A one gram gold Maple is about a the size of a pencil eraser and 1mm thick. It's worth around $250CAD. A 1/10 oz Maple is about the size of a US dime, and worth over $600CAD. The 1/4 oz Maple is about the size of a US nickel and worth over $1500CAD.

When silver gets to $1000/oz it would be very useful to have very small denominations of specie silver money available for use in daily commerce, in my future, small, rural, ethnically homogeneous community.

I was hoping silver would fucking pull back to 80 or so so I could load up on more. Fuck I really don't want to have to spend 50K+ on a monster box.
>>

Goldbacks are essentially authenticated certifactes of a set amount of gold to be used in small transactions to set a gold standard. It's what an old USD Silver Certificate would have been if they had the technology in 1800s.

Have you ever thought about building a fake wall chunk there? That with the safe would probably keep it safe since smash and grab thieves would just be grabbing loose shit, put out some fake and couple old coins in a bowl with a sticker that says all my grandpa's silver with a twenty dollar bill and you'll be fine.

It’s a piece of laminated gold foil. A certificate is a receipt. Goldbacks are money.

It has nothing to do with the actual numbers. Ask yourself why Polaris hasn’t changed locations more drastically. The Georgia guidestones tracked its movement and it was a minuscule shift and it never left the viewing hole. And literally anyone here should have known silver was going over $50. The actual numbers I stated are irrelevant. More just to give you a picture of how absurd the goyslop they get most to believe is. Have you felt or seen the earth spinning with your own eyes? Feel the heat of the sun on your skin 150 million kilometers away? It’s a local source anon

I agree. They are for trading micro-amounts of gold. Some people think they are purchased as a "stacking" method, I'd say its more of a "prepping" style.

Amount of silver total in a set, it's popular in French silverware from the 19th century, no good for metal buyers. >>61665001 Looks heavily rhodium plated, buy some acid and a stone to test, scrape deep and if real sell or hoard, I'd sell people not going to trust that shitty rhodium plating, get older stuff or a one oz bar that's tested in front of you.

Each one of him should've come with a complementary 1/2oz "love interest" coin.

But no, They were all a locked price based on spot price (when posted) + its collectable value, so no premium. As silver rose they stayed the same, so I lurked until they were cheaper than bullion and pounced.

Just pulled out my dads generational coin collection, separated the silver and calculated what he's got. He's pretty happy with 14oz. $1800 aud just from the spot price alone. And we're going to bag it up and put it in his safe. I've told him to sit on it and forget about it, which he's happy to do. Good day spent bonding with my father. Thanks silver!

Best price on sterling silver wire I've found on the net. There's a 14% premium on wire plus shipping costs.
I can alloy my own stock and make my own wire but it's so much easier to pay someone else to do the bitch work for me.
