I've been to dozens of smoke shops and the only ones seemingly doing well have dedicated about 60% of the shop to incense, crystals, candals and shit like tarot cards. Rent out a long store in a busy retail spot, dedicate the front of the shop to all the female shit noted above and then have a "21+ to go further" sticker or some shit. Give the shop a vague name that applies to both smoking and gay crystals. with the rocks and weird skulls up front you'll pull in more curious people than a simple weed shop would. ive brought my grandma to certain smoke shops because they had all sorts of stuff shes into at the frong. no one buys the goofy 3k bongs and all the tack these smoke shops fill inventory with. Most people go in for papers or a reup and they know exactly what they want. you sell them all the kooky shit at the front (ill always buy some candle or rock for my gf when i visit these), have what they actually need at the back and have the counter in the middle. always make sure to have a great selection of the shit people actually came for though. they need to feel like a kid in a wonka shop when it comes to smoke supplies. Just dont overdo it with the bongs and all those things. you make great profit when they actually sell, but they hardly ever do. keep in mind that usual biz stuff applies. you can kill a business before it ever opens simply based on location. check demographics because bulletproof windows might be what you need. the incense witchy shop works in low crime cities. if you are selling thc vapes and actual bud, you will attract a lot more theft
