I want to get my brokerage account to a balance of $100,000 by the end of the year
I have somewhere around $30,000 more I can simply invest assuming my COL doesn’t change
So, that’s at least $72,000 with no compounding on my investments but let’s just say 10% on everything
So…..with luck about $80,000
I just wanna maximize my gains without losing my mind while I’m still young, so, any advice where to generate extra money from to reach my goal
I’ve considered donating plasma and have tried finding random beer money online strats I can do from my phone (have my own office at my job so I can use my phone for ours and not even fall behind on work)

Please no crypto shilling I just want a thread about getting more money and faster, and no investing in some high yield ultra volatile BS

Is getting into “The Wheel” or covered calls and such worth getting into or would the premiums from that just be a equivalent to a side hustle
>>
Buy silver.

Get a second job and cut back on expenses? lol.

Any stock that has dividends is a second source of income.

Right, I’m curious about gaining more principal to put down

1. Put all of your $72K into a broad index fund like VOO.
2. Enable margin on your account.
3. Using your margin, buy about $30K of a single stock you believe will at least more than double at some point during this year.
4. Set a sell order for the stock ~75% above your cost per share.
5. Check back when you get a sell notification email.
>>
>>61668966
Yeah I’ve just been doing VOO as is for now

In general I do wanna try getting more into trading but just don’t know how it fits my risk tolerance
Is there a way to be conservative but still make gains
I don’t wanna leave opportunity laying on the table
Point being I’m not trying to get rich, I’m not trying to retire by age 30, just make extra money short term that amounts long term due to compounding
>>
>>61668507
>just buy my bags bro! don't forget you pay over spot and get paid under spot when you sell. did I mention you might need a wheelbarrow to move this great investment?
>>
>>61669059
>be conservative but still make gains
Just invest in SPY or something that only really goes up over the long term. If you don't mind a little risk miners like HL are a good play and have the potential for much larger returns.
>>
>>61669059
>Is there a way to be conservative but still make gains
>I don’t wanna leave opportunity laying on the table
these contradict each other

>good returns = high risk
>low returns = low risk
set stop losses and take profits regularly, buy into bull markets and not some bear markets like beyond meat or some shit

also
>I don’t wanna leave opportunity laying on the table
is FOMO behaviour and you will lose at some point with this attitude when smar money drops their bags on yours
>>
>>61668496
tsm, googl, rtx and some boring shit like chubb that has a long track of giving 11% returns year after year
>>
>>61669059
That is the conservative approach to trading. You would be maximally invested long term in the market, while tapping a safe amount of equity such that you can survive a market crash with relative ease, and automating sell orders based on goals rather than feelings. You're not touching options and heavy leverage.
You don't even have to look for a stock that doubles. You can for example buy a stock with high beta, but trades within a consistent range. If a stock jumps up and down 20% regularly, you can buy the low and set a sell order at 10%. Repeat this a few times with different stocks. This works when you have the capital, and a realistic goal.
>>
>>61669198
What exactly should I be putting sell orders on and what ratio of my total funds should go towards that though
>>

>>61668847
Part time on weekends. You can get a slack wagey job you don’t really care about and just collect a pay check doing the bare minimum.
>>
>>61669198
With this though, isn't the idea that you would need to make more money by selling orders than you would make by just getting a second revenue stream and investing for a return?

This can be part of your plan. Specifically, look into being a chauffeur. If you have a suit, a clean driving record and can present yourself as something other than a slob, call the local limo companies and get a job. They are constantly going through flaky drivers. Work Fri and Sat nights. You won’t be spending money doing stupid shit at the bars and the tips are significant.

What skills do you have

What skills can you see yourself learning

What occupations are absolutely no-go for you?

Your answers to these questions will determine the possibility space of the answer to your question

Silver miners, gold royalty companies 50/50. You’ll be at 80k by April then just need babby gains rest of year to hit your goal.

Also, how do sandnig CT accounts with mass followings get away with larping like this? Literally said nothing about PMs prior to the blow up
>>
>>61671131
Okay but the thing about that is eventually those silver and gold record highs will start to dip back down
I don't really know when to abandon ship
and if it's dropping people won't want to buy as much
Can puts really counter this?
>>
>>61669594
>What exactly should I be putting sell orders on
The stock you're buying on margin.
>what ratio of my total funds should go towards that
As I suggested in >>61668966, you can use around 30K. Why? Because you can survive a drop in the SP500 by 50% (which would be a true market crash) without being margin called by most brokers.
Assuming a 7% drag from margin interest (this varies based on your brokerage, and how long it takes you to sell the stock), and you sell at 75% up on 30K, you're looking at a roughly +20K return. Combined with your assumed return of 10% on your VOO, you're looking at roughly 100K total.

>Okay but the thing about that is eventually those silver and gold record highs will start to dip back down
No anon, the dollars done for. Any manipulation or dumps from henceforth are temporary
