Because metals are going up primarily because China is buying them and making it illegal to sell them back out. They were steadily increasing but now they're pumping like crazy. Every super peak on metals historically has been from some sort of short squeeze like this, but this is the biggest one yet. I wouldn't be too surprised to see $300 an oz depending on how relentless China becomes.
