Why is the market seemingly more responsive to presidential ranting and raving at this time? Nobody cared much say 6 months ago

Let me rephrase your retarded question:

Why is the market seemingly more responsive to presidential ranting and raving after the US invaded a foreign nation and abducted its leader for trial in a single one day operation? Nobody cared much say 6 months ago when such a precedent did not exist.

Very nice theory. But the Noriega op of '89 had no appreciable effect on the markets, so that can't be it. Let's try again, I'm thinking declining liquidity

It's crossed a new line of incoherence that even vuvuzela didn't cross. He is now threatening to invade and seize NATO territory because norway didn't give him a trophy he wanted. I think people are beginning to have a hard time conceiving of this as a gambit / negotiating tactic anymore and starting to really entertain the idea that the leader of the free world is actually Nero-tier insane and is liable to push any button and give any order at any time with no consideration to consequences. And nobody in his admin has shown the desire to rein any of it in.

All the levers of power are being operated by a schizophrenic narcissist now. There is no possibility that it's all 5D chess anymore. People are scared for real.

>threatening to invade and seize NATO territory because norway didn't give him a trophy he wanted
somehow that sounds less insane than the fact that denmark (population 3.3x less than new york, spread over one peninsula and a bunch of islands to the north of germany) owns greenland
how did that even happen lol

But what's the play? Are we all in on euro defence stocks?

Vikings, but interesting fact the original viking population there became a "lost colony" and survived for like a century or more without real European contact, even seeing linguistic evolution, before dying out. When the Scandis finally remembered the Greenland colony existed they sent another ship that way only to find ruins and some frozen corpses

>US ability to service its debt and avoid a sovereign debt crisis is contingent on allies and purchases of US debt playing ball
>Ol' Bonespurs is doing everything in his power to piss off said allies and purchasers of US debt
>Why are people panicking

fiscal dominance. wait until trump fully owns the fed. you haven't seen real fun yet. massive money printing while US bond rates are going to the fucking moon.

Because its theatre. You are supposed to think that Europe and America is splitting apart but they arent.

Population is irrelevant, they were there first. Well technically Norway was, but from 1380 to 1814, Denmark and Norway were a unified kingdom. The king of Denmark was also the king of Norway. When they separated at the end of the Napoleonic wars the colonies went to Denmark.
