Fellas we need to have a conversation about an overlooked disruptive technology. Everyone knows about AI. Everyone in the know knows about Space. But no one has been talking about Robots, especially the pairing of AI with Robots. Much like in the twentieth century everyone had to have a TV in their house, I think the next big “appliance” will be the house-robot (and sex robot of course). This is where we make our fortunes.

I'm going to start investing, but i don't have a huge amount of money, I'm just going to invest maybe $1000 a month or so, that will double when i finish my degree and go back to working full time. I am Australian.

I don't know what I am doing when it comes to stock investing, my did was fairly useless as an investor and don't shut up about his BHP share and how he sold them to buy a house in the 90's.

Is it valid to just go to a site like this

https://www.morningstar.com.au/investments/ideas/australian-etfs

sort by 10 year annualized returns and invest in the top ones?

i was going to use CMC, btw. No fees for trades under $1000 a day per stock. $11 to sell but I am looking at LONG term investing, as in decades.

Alternatively I can use Combank, or combank pocket. I'm only going to invest in global ETFs, not individual shares.

AI makes vids for you so your bots can "watch" your vids and you make ad revenue. AI vids are getting really good and its harder to tell from real zombie type speakers. The AI blames AI for making too many vids to throw you off. Also the percent of vids that are AI is getting very high. AI vid channels a popping every day and are crowding out real channels. Lots of geopolitical experts are being copied and AI creating fake interviews and channels. Very soon you will not be able to find a legit vid.

Crab? What the FUCK are you talking about? Unless you mean mining equities. Yes. Their value priced in gold and silver, isn't just crabbing but falling as prices rise, somehow. Q1 results will close that gap quickly.

Can someone who knows the bond market tell me how serious the Japanese sell off is? Some say it's nothing and some say it's the collapse of US bond market.

What even is a proper tech company? A bloated megacorp that hires 1000 engineers to program a single web page, and multiply that by the number of web pages?

>check actual engagement statistics of domestic Americans versus international policy
The average American does not give a single fuck about what Trump is doing and are not concerned whatsoever. Think about that.

put 30% in a200 or VAS etf. Put the rest in a 50/50 vts/veu split. Whenever you invest more, put it in whatever is underperforming to get it back to a 30/35/35 or w/e distribution.

If you want to get a little spicy, take 25% of what you would put in VTS and put it in AVUV, and 25% of VEU instead split into 75% AVDV and 25% AVES, giving you overall 30/26.25/26.25/8.75/6.5/2.25 over VAS/VTS/VEU/AVUV/AVDV/AVES. If you go this route you will need to use IBKR for AVUV/AVDV/AVES.

Feel free to alter the percentages to your preferences, just make sure you have some in an Australian etf (tax efficient) and the rest in international markets with at least 50% of more in the US stock market (best market, but not guaranteed to always be so). The more diversified the better. AVUV/AVDV/AVES are small cap value and emerging markets etfs made by guys who won a noble prize for research on factor investing, they discovered that small cap value stocks, in the long term, will outperform large cap stocks which make up the vast majority of etf's by weight, so one can increase their returns from etf investing by "tilting" part of your portfolio to small cap value stocks.

Why can't we all just get along?
Imagine if everyone worked together... why do we all need to compete with one another? Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Fuck Africa.

american voters have always only really cared about personal financials and the economy, foreign policy is only relevant when it gets splashed onto their face and personally affects them like the world wars and 9/11. until soldiers start coming home in body bags or the military budget causes the deficit to spiral out of control and affect the rest of the budget, don't expect much voter attention.

12k a year for two years
24k after that
plus extras. I need to decide a maximum amount to keep in savings and emergency funds, and the rest can go to the investments

The average American doesn't have 10k of liquidity
the average American spends 95.4% of their income

within a year I will have more invested than the average American. In investments that all have over 15% 10 year annualized averages.

I'm Australian

Australia is borderline the 51st state. Australia is America with better education, healthcare, and food but far worse people.
