When you’re looking at the spot price of gold you have to remember that comex gold contracts are for 100 ounces of gold.

That’s the best price for bulk gold.

Basically no normal person can actually buy gold for that price. This is completely ignoring the fact that barely any real gold gets transferred. Most of it doesn’t exist.

If you want to own one ounce of gold then you pretty much already have to pay $5,000 to get it.
