As someone who made some money with Lego I can tell you that 100% it’ll go up in value. However you’ll be holding it for probably 5 years minimum for a x2(maybe) and then when you do sell it eBay is going to want 15% and because of how big the box is you’ll probably get fucked on shipping also. Oh and also these things take up so much fucking space. All in all it’s not really worth it.

Lego prints on demand for 2 years minimum, the more you guys buy to resell the more that will be out there when the print run ends thus eating into your profits. Also this isn’t a Pokemon booster box where a person wants to buy as many as they can to open packs to try and pull the rare card, no this is a Lego set where you buy 1 and you’re done no reason to buy a 2nd. Maybe in 10 years you’ll get 3x-4x but short term is fucked.

Good observations, but those apply to pretty much any reselling product, and the fact that it's so expensive mitigates shipping costs as you don't need to sell 50 to make a decent profit, as opposed to what >>61681651 proposes. I sure as fuck don't want to hold on card boxes for years on end.

Print on demand costs are higher than normal I'd guess so it will hardly lose value short term. And yes I considered it a longer term investment l, unless it blows up immediately
