So i bought a bunch of silver from this place when it was about $500 AUD per 10 ounce bar

Now its $1600 AUD per 10 ounce bar

But they only buy the silver back for $1300 AUD?

Me selling at $1300 would still be a nice profit, but why do I miss out on that extra $300 per 10oz?

Getting ripped off is part and parcel of buying silver and gold.
>>
>>61681873
Meme or srs?

This is the equievlent of me seeing the spot price of bitcoin at $100,000 listed everywhere, but when I go to sell it, the exchange shows me that i'll only get like $80,000 for it, thats fucked up, never had to deal with that in crypto

I thought precious metals were easier and better than crypto in terms of trading them? This is shitcoin tier price slippage.

It is a business. They make money off buying and selling. They have operational costs.
Also, nobody pays spot when you are actually trying to sell. They pay spot when they are trying to buy.
I have a friend that I have known for years, and he buys anything with gold in it. Bullion, coin or jewelry, he aways buys everything you offer him. Sometimes he asks for a 3 day heads up before he pays cash. And no, he does not pay spot.
>>
>>61681864
they are buying at $300 below spot? fuck that. the $1600 price sounds like crap too. you paying sales tax or something?
>>
>>61681864
>he fell for the physical meme
Enjoy getting pawn shop lowballed lmao
>>
>>61681864
Have fun standing for 2 hours in a line to sell because you’re too retarded to recognise a currency collapse when you see one

Buying gold and silver from an large online retailer is the equivalent to buying/selling bitcoin from one of those Bitcoin atms with the 20% markup.
>>
Dont you also have to buy it physical at +10% rate because the dealer takes a cut?
>>
>>61682225
Depends on what you buy. I have personally never paid over spot for silver.
>>
>>61681864
Since it's impossible to compare multiple offers, 1300 is the most you'll ever get forever
>>
>>61681864
Also, silver is 140 an ounce in AUD, so again, you're a greedy Black Abo
>>
I live near a coin shop that I have been going to for a few years and my local dealer buys junk silver for 5% under spot, spot for generic rounds, and 5% over spot for sovereign mint coins like the American silver eagles, Canadian maples, etc. This works for me because I only own sovereign mint coins.

If I want to sell something weird/unusual, or I want to set the price then I just sell on eBay/etsy and eat the fees. If you don’t want to deal with fees then you can use different online peer to peer marketplaces but I personally haven’t used them.
>>
>>61681977
10 under, spot is 140 AUD. OP is a nigger
>>
>>61682331
oh yeah ok. thats really not so bad then is it.
>>
>>61681864
You're actually not supposed to sell your shiny rocks. They're a hedge against societal collapse.
>>
>silverbug goes to cash out
>can't cash out
>>
>>61683108
What do you do with the silver when society collapses?
>>
A year ago, Kitco was buying silver eagles for spot, now they're $6 under spot.

>>61683254
tyrone kills you and takes it from you

Remember that silver and gold is so worthless that everyone will kill you for it.
>>
>>61683472
and also dont forget that owning gold and silver prevents you from purchasing firearms. its an unbending rule.
>>
>>61681864
be thankful they buy it back from you at ANY price.
if it continues going up they may outright refuse to buy.
do you remember that "you can not cash out" meme metla fags constantly post? welp, its real when it comes to pms.
im slowly realizing that all the hatred metal fags have for bitcoin stems from jealousy for the abuse they get from holding lumps of metal.
>>
>>61681971
you sound like a cuck.
>>
>>61683254
you cast it as a dildo and shove it up your ass, just like gold

so the link fud discord telegram trannies now also fud silver. wonderful.
>>
>>61681910
Premiums change depending on market stability, when the spot price of silver is extremely volatile and doing 5-10% swings in a day coin shops and bullion dealers will hike up the premiums to cover their ass. When the price stabilizes you'll see lower premiums again.
>>
>>61681910
Right
>>61681864
Their profits and overhead. They've got to get the shit back, check that it's legit and turn around and sell it to someone else-all in a timeframe in which silver might collapse. If you can just find someone who wants silver directly you can sell to them
>>
>>61681864
thats a convenience fee
you can sell it for closer to spot in other places
>>
>>61683711
I bought two nice cars, fully paid, out of this exact cuckness. Still a rentoid, though

Yeah cryptobros never seethed this hard over metals. Cryptobros were light hearted and fun. They could lose 90% of their networth on a shitcoin and still have the life in them yet to make a funny meme. pmfags are mentally ill unlikeable faggots and this boards culture has devolved into shit. Most pmfags just complain about crypto all day despite this being "their time".

until now kek

Go to your local coin shop (LCS). You will probably get a much better deal, though be warned, they usually work in cash only.
>>
>gotta make short term profit because I'm a dumbshit
PMs always have been and always will be a long term investment. It's not a shitcoin. Your crypt0 brain betrays you.
>>
Sounds like the place you’re selling to is a bit of a rip. I work at a bullion dealer in the US, we buy at ~4% below spot. Possibly could be the tax law in your country contributing to the price you’re getting
>>
>>61685042
it's just a convenience fee for being such a lazy piece of shit that you insist on selling to the very same institution you bought from. you're supposed to shop around
>>
>>61681910
Plus capital gains tax, plus tip :)
>>
>>61681864
Bullion now pays spot
