>>61712921Its over.
>>61712944No. People still get subsidized for owning homes.
>>61712921it's not yet passed the vote. but if they pass it that's insane. what's even more insane is on reddit theres threads about it and a good part of the replies are people sheering on this tax. cause they don't currently invest and only wageslave. stupid idiots don't understand they are just closing doors for themselves. right now in NL if you work and invest you can seriously get a head. but when this new tax comes. that's over, investingwill not be compounding anymore as you have to give up 36pct of your gains every year. and the retards thatdon't invest cheer onthis new tax system.instead of being smart and investingand making use of the favorable tax scheme rightnow, they much rathersee their neighbour pay more taxes cause he already started investing. and close the door. you could easily retired 10 to 20 years early if you invested smartly combined with a job. that's over when this new rule comes into effect.>>61712944not yet voted and passed. but if it passes NL is cooked. suddenly just becoming a poorfag living on the beach in the philipines doing a random job to make just enough to afford to pay for the next month of living becomes a better option. atleast you got a cool life at the beach.
>>61713218How the fuck are they going to stop all the wealth escaping the country? Who is going to keep 1 cent in such a country?
>>61713218Absolutely insane. Demshits tried something similar back when Biden was president, trying to tax unrealized gains at 25% and it was so unpopular it stood no chance of ever passing. The fact that the Dutchfag government is even considering passing this law is batshit crazy
>>61712921Holy shit why doesn't anyone just tax land instead of coming up with this convoluted nonsense?

>>61713243the wealth will flee for sure with such a tax. the funny part is that they exempt pension funds. so if you invest in a shitty pension fund that gives you like 5pct of return a year, no tax lol. but if you do the investing yourself, 36pct tax. pension funds just do investing with your money anyway. what a fucking scam. the further we advance in time the more the best approach to living in such countries is to become giant parasites. don't work hard, don't invest your money, just leech for govverment gibs grants and smoke weed at home. pop out some kids too take kids money. don't work, don't invest. you will have less free time than the welfare nigger who is enjoying life on gibs while you wagecuck in the office for 40 years long.

>>61713352>>61713331I visited KL as part of my MBA program in December 2019 (right before COVID) and I was not too impressed. Central KL is fine for about a 2.5 mile radius. The workers in Kuala Lumpur are the slowest people in the world. Like they have no brain, no sense of urgency. As soon as we got slightly outside of the city center, everything fell to shit. And I have lived in China, Korea, and Japan. Non-central place was a signifcant step down in quality. Lastly, our tour guide said they have a "little bit of a terrorism problem" in the rural parts of Malaysia and that they are basically unsafe, no-go zones.I think the only acceptable expat hub is Thailand, which is not really even cheap anymore because the secret is out. Maybe check out Philippines, but watch out they have Typhoons and Internet outages like every other week there.
>>61713415oh you mean taxing the actual rich? hell nah that wont happen. >>61713218 on the reddit thread I even saw some people that just have a normal job call others that have a job + invest are "rich people" it's insane. the majority of poorfags think that the poorfags who can invest 500 to 1000 euros a month from their job are "rich" and they are happy that these people have to pay a higher tax. it's insane what I read in the Netherlands thread on this. I'm in Belgium thank God. they introduced a 10pct capital gains tax. which still sucks but atleast its not on unrealized gains . what a shit show. Netherlands is cooked. there's no reason to want to go there. the previous tax system was quite interesting. but if they change it to this new thing wow. its fucking over.
>>61713424>I think the only acceptable expat hub is Thailand, which is not really even cheap anymore because the secret is out. This makes no fucking sense with real estate. All sales are made when there's demand, so the evaluation is always wrong. The nasty truth comes out when you have an auction of a property.
>>61713616you have to live in switzerland not to be taxed in NL and living in switzerland is 4x as expensive as in NL. yo wont survive there with your dividend and investment LLC. you realize in switzerland having 2 million euro networh is not even middle class. everyone has that NW. a house costs 1M eur
>>61712921thats absolutely insane; its state mandated serfdom. NO chance to ever escape it.

>>61713628>You live in a country with one the most attractive female populations and want to… move to asia to fuck bugs? >>61713616the only people for who this is financially viable are richfags, you need several hundred thousand € for setting up a company to be worth itof course, the kikes know this, the law is attempting to prevent lower classes from owning capital so they are forced to labor and so stimulate the economythey're basically trying to institute serfdom through creating a complicated series of laws creating a tax divide between poorfags and richfags in favor of already rich people at the cost of poors (thus lowering social mobility and creating a de facto servile caste)t. dutchoid
>>61713647I like this post, it makes me happy

>>61713453Don't forget the fact that due to FATCA you technically have to pay US income tax on everything too. >>61713649>lowering social mobilitythis new tax law completely removes social mobility.
>>61713774>Is it double tax time?Yep. Let's say BTC went from 50k to 100k in a single year and you hold exactly 1 BTC. You have to pay 36% tax on the 50k unrealized gains. Next year BTC dumps back to 50k. It's unsure what the compensation will be or if there will be any compensation at all for negative unrealized gains. The year after BTC goes back to 100k. Once again you have to pay 36% tax on the 50k unrealized gains.

As usual, biz is missing the big picture.
>>61714197>biz is missing the big picture.says the one talking about dutch family businesses or real estatethis country smothers small businesses with insane taxes and real estate is a richmans business more than anywhere else, agricultural land costs 100.000€+, houses 450.000€+, noone is investing in real estate except the very wealthy
>>61714197>Actually more taxation is a good thing goy!

Dutchfag here. At the moment this law is still in the planning stage, with a vote expected this year (somewhere around March). I've been on the fence about emigrating to the US in a few years, but if this draconian horseshit passes I'm out. This will kill social mobility and force everyone below middle class to wage slave forever. I will have no part in this future. As soon as I then get citizenship in the states I'm renouncing my Dutch citizenship and never looking back.

Boomer investing is dead anyways when literal rocks are outperforming the s&p by exponents. And people itt talking about social mobility make a very good point, but relying on the kiked stock market to take care of you in your twilight years is not without drawbacks. When the AI bubble pops ala Dot Com Redux, a lot of boomers are going to be Fucked. If you think the way to make it is to wageslave for 40 years and put everything in 60/40 stocks and bonds, you're fucked. It's not enough to turn the crank for someone else, you need to own the crank. A law like this would strongly encourage people to start their own business instead of becoming drones for Amazon of Walmart. It's just, it's not black and white, okay? But now I'm asking for nuance on biz.
>>61713847
It's like this board forgot what investing even is. Say you run a tea shop in the middle of a city. Buying an ad would be an investment, and the return on that investment would likely be far higher than the s&p. Say you buy a bunch of funky new herbs for a new tea blend. That's an investment. Fancy decorations? Investment. Comfortable outdoor seating? Investment. And what do you get for investing like this, besides a bunch of money? The place you live is nicer.>inb4 but that's haaarrddd

Public sector employees and public agencies (with the only possible exception of Military and law enforcement services because violence is literally the one thing governments can't afford to fuck up) don't give a fuck about affordability, and they sure as shit don't give a flying fuck about the actual quality of the service in question. In fact, there's even incentives to be slow and miss milestones: Afterall, it's easy to argue for more funding if you can make the argument that the lack of progress in XYZ project is due to 'a lack of funding'. Just look at education in the US where left wing retards seem to think the problem is 'lack of funding' lmao. Attempting to provide any service or good via the public sector is objectively the most dogshit way to do it. Another thing to keep in mind as well is that the public sector necessarily has to rely on gains from the private sector to leech off of. If you kill any sort of incentive to profit and make money all while trying to maintain a welfare state then you effectively just have South Africa 2.0.
>>61713600We have that in several states already in the US too buddy. But get real dude, taxing unrealized gains is dystopian as fuck and designed to keep you poor. That is exactly the type of shit I would move to another country over, personally. But you do you boo.

so if I own $1000 of a memecoin and it goes 100x and down 99% in a week, I owe $36000 even though my portfolio is $1000?
I read into this a little. So the way they figure is that if you are in gain, you get taxed on that yearly. But your average buy in will go up accordingly. So basically the stock or coin you bought will be taxable anew in the next year with no disadvantage to you.... or so they want you think. Of course it is a massive disadvantage.
>>61715816The private healthcare system of USA is a lot more expensive than european systems while being around same efficiency. The ”public sector is lazy” argument has been proven wrong a long time ago already, funny that some people still parrot it. In the public sector people focus on helping people while in the private sector they focus on making profit. Making profit and helping people are often two different things, so a private system is wasteful on it’s own way. People with money get most of the resources, not those who need it. I’m not saying that public sector workers can’t be lazy, but the whole thing has been made a huge propaganda belief by private sector people to make other people give them more power.
In the end, what it does is making moving away for the rich even easier. Because if to have to be taxed yearly anyway, then what's the scare of the moving away tax? it goes away.
>>61712944their constitutional court said it's illegal that they only tax realized gains but not unrealized ones (don't ask me how they came to that schizo conclusion) and instead of changing the laws to make it legal, they decided it would be better to tax unrealized ones too since they can implement that faster and won't risk any sudden holes in their budget.completely demented.

>>61715041hes a free spirit thats for surePVV isnt a right wing party, they're an anti-islam party with jewish backing, they're not countercultural or even conservative, they'll call for shit like banning private schooling/homeschooling for muslims, and then the leftie parties say; for everyone else too!and we lose more rights through this dynamicits like AfD in germany; ran by a lesbian married to an indian, what kind of right wing parties are these? kosher onesat least fvd wants to hang the estabelishment faggots, a vote for pvv is a vote for the status quo of globalist oligarchyalso the vaxx is evil thats not schizo
>>61718040>boy, everyone is stupid except me!

>>61717492>>61719454Private sectors can be very wasteful too because of bad policies and decisions. It’s not like a private system is automatically the most efficient. And none of these ”not real capitalism!” arguments either. I’ll believe when i see it, but european nations have been cutting welfare since 2008 due to these ”public sector is lazy” myths and everything has just become shittier despite that. To me it just sounds like another utopia ideology like communism, and of course it’s the biggest terminally online virgins with least experience of real world who believe in it the most, as seen from this thread.>>61718185>all those people who get addicted to drugs, or get schizophrenia, or break their bodies, or have horrible abusive parents ect are just lazy!Absolutely braindead take.
>>61717451Judges were a mistake
>>61715430>Education is cheaperActually no, not anymore. State education is ridiculously expensive now compared to private learning. I can literally sit at home in my underwear and learn things for free online or at an insanely low price on places like Udemy. I've done it many times. You're telling me that this is MORE expensive than funding teachers, school buildings, maintenance, admin, schools buses, lunches, etc. That's absolute fucking non-sense. If you want to make an argument that the library is relatively free that's a fair point but education overall is vastly more expensive now. You could give every kid a $10,000 gaming pc every like 5 years for studying and it would still be much cheaper. >>61718185I understand the socialist parasite mindset but I never want to experience it. I can't imagine not wanting to be rich and successful, it's anathema to my very being. Normgroids don't crave the boot off their neck, they crave more boots on more necks.
>>61713635>you realize in switzerland having 2 million euro networh is not even middle class. The heck? That's considered upper middle class here. What's considered solid middle class is barely different from surrounding countries.>>61713649His plan would work. In Switzerland you only need 60k Euro (50k CHF) to set up a stock company (AG). (when you google it says 100k, but that's only guidelines/_bureaucratically_, not necessarily. I already did this).
>>61720189you need to spend 6 months per year in switzerland or you still pay taxes in NL / where you are most
>>61719977>I’ll believe when i see it,You're seeing it right now.Look at the expensive healthcare and education is in America
if you read a little online you see that they already tax unrealized gains btw in the netherlands (there's just some criteria as to if you're being taxed) now they will practically tax everyoneit seems like it is basically the overton window in action. enjoy being boiled alive, slowly but surely.
>>61712921The whole purpose is to destroy or prevent generational wealth that could oppose the government and its power structure and create and maintain a population of dependents.
>>61720905the current weath tax in the netheralnds is a fictive tax. its very favorable and you can be a day trader and investor and make gigantic amounts of money. yes the current wealth tax inthe netherlands sucks. but the fictive wealth tax they currently have comes out to bea lot and i mean a lot less than the wealth tax in spain for example. and the wealth tax in spain is not on capital gains. or unrealized gains. its on total net worth. wich is even worse lol.
>>61720917i was not comparing it to anything, im sure you can find atrocities elsewhere. just saying they slowly turned the cogs on you people
>>61713322Maybe you should read Adam Smith
>>61720929im not a dutch citizen im in a neighboring country. but im just tryin' to say the old (current/now) wealth tax isn't so bad. as it's a fictive return wealth tax. very favorable still. but with this new proposed wealth tax it's completely over. no more happy trader/investor dutch guy on the market.
>>61712921tax remittances
>>61720905The current tax is absolutely amazing. You can make 1000% gains in a single year and only pay the fictitious return of 6%. First €56k isn't taxed at all. Boomers successfully lobbied against this tax because it only sucks if you invest in low yield bonds or have all your money sitting idle in cash.
>>61720985>The current tax is absolutely amazing.when looking at it i guess it is, you can make a lot of money and barely pay anythign
>>61712921Holy shit what a third world shit hole they turned into. Hahahaha
>>61714895The tradeoff? The country imports eighty quintillion Indians every single year, with whites already making up a minority of people under 18 and set to be an absolute minority in the next 8 years. But the TFSA is good, yup.
>>61713713>SOCIALISM FOR ALL!!!!>BOOOOOOOO!!!!!>SOCIALISM FOR SOME, MINIATURE UNION JACKS FOR OTHERS>YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!
>>61713218They saw through the capitalism scam without actually getting rid of commerce, fuckin' bravo. Between this and the bikes I may need to move.
>>61715847Just dont exit lol By the time your passport expires this will be a sharia state
>>61712921How on earth do you tax an unrealized gain? How do you even know what you're taxing without first realizing the gain? To me this will either result in inflation through the creation of more fake money (unrealized taxes) or a collapse of speculative markets (since unrealized gains now have a tether to reality). I'm honestly surprised the ruling class of NL would allow this, unless they are purposefully trying to accelerate toward an economic crisis.
Socialism, Capitalism muh muh muh… This is why Euros and Americans are retarded and not worth talking to. Imagine using the thinking frame of 19, 20th century to analyze this hyper globalized, fast and massive market and surroundings. What Netherlands is doing is great. From this onwards, it’s all about maximizing the average competency and literacy of your citizens to survive and dominate in this unpredictable world. Nobody should listen to degens losers who are addicted to gambling in all forms.
or just full port 100x long something and let jesus take the wheel...either you die miserable here (inevitable) or you make out like the king of bandits
They do this because they think crypto is gonna be massive and everybody will have insane gainsSo it's not a big problem, pay more taxes but my portfolio went up 10x who gives a shit LMAO This is only a problem if you are a poorfag
>>61721773it is no that complicated but must be implemented either by the banks ofc, or you must pay a tax accountant in the future which will result in additonal cost that noone is accounting for.But why would the gobberment care though, it is not their money am I rite lmao
>18 million population>only 400k of them are millionaires>14 billionairesLMAOThis in one of the strongest economies in europe btw.Forgot to mention most of those millionaires are from the political side.HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
>>61721773When you want to use your unrealised gains as collateral for a loan. They get assesed and then you get taxed.
>>61722285I believe those are households. the average household is >1 human, and if the house is included the real number is much more humbling

Yuropoors won't and can't breed so they have to pay more taxes so pajeets and mohammeds can move there and live for free
tax on unrealized gains doesnt make any fucking sense to me
>>61721773>How on earth do you tax an unrealized gain?12-month average, throw out highest and lowest months.
>>61713218kankercommunisten
>>61713218There's no way this passes. Insane.
>>61713334This. Just take out as many loans as possible, and get ready to leave, preferably to a geopolitical enemy state like Russia. Russia will not extradited to the west, and this is even more true if you sign a contract to serve in Ukraine.
>>61712921The Netherlands is already a dystopian hellhole full of rude selfish cunts. I'm leaving

>>61713266Wait until they start taxing silver and all the silver sellers shut down
>>61712921theoretically silver would be exempt because you already pay a VAT on it, no?
>>61717629Your example has no mention of selling aka realizing gains.

>>61712921https://www.meijburg.com/news/final-bill-actual-return-investment-box-3-act-published>Valuation>The general rule is that assets must be valued at their fair market value. What is fair market value with crypto assets.A group of exchanges or the like decide they want to pump the price of a coin to 10 times, and then you should pay taxes on that 10 times because it was theday when the "fair market value" is taken. (taken = The price is looked up from the market prices list.) or what???If that is not clear, logically after the pump the dump arrives, so the price goes back significantly again. If you haven't sold at the the higher price ...And: you hold for 5 years, you have to pay taxes 5 times ... ! ???An even better example, a group of hackers lets the price of some pool explode, you now have to pay taxes on that... ? ? ? ? (especially the case if your token/coin valuation is connected tothis or these pools.)in the linked text too>Any appreciation in value that has not yet been actually realized will also be taxed.>This aspect of the new regime has been the most criticized, >because tax has to be paid on income >that has not yet been actually received >and this deviates from what is usual in other countries.
>>61726206>>that has not yet been actually received >>and this deviates from what is usual in other countries.I really do have to wonder if the people writing the laws actually exist on this plane of reality, or if they're just completely fucking delusional since one of the main principles of taxation is that the person subject to a tax should have the money to fucking pay it in the first place.
Why don't people realize that taxing unrealized gains will halt innovation to a standstill? And why at an absurd number at 36%? Why not just start at 5% and see what happens first? It just smells like the governments that run European countries are becoming insolvent (which they have shown by nationalizing people's savings into perpetual investment accounts).Just admit that your current situation is untenable and you need to roll back multiple benefits. Gee, i wonder how social programs like burgergeld and tax derived healthcare would've ultimately bankrupted an entire continent?
>>61726239>Why don't people realize that taxing unrealized gains will halt innovation to a standstill?Politicians are a) Dipshits who went to school for sociology and political science, rather than things like economics, business management, or even hard sciences, and b) Yes-men on a national scale who cannot afford to admit defeat or back down because it will fuck their careers.
>>61726249I get a kick on how people say it's "free healthcare" when 50% of your earnings are defaulted to said tax system. Most health concious people aren't reliant on it unless an external life event happens where medical care is a necessity.Just call it tax derived healthcare.
>>61726455guess who introduced socialized haelthcare hereit's AWBZ that ruined it btw.
>>61726455And the pension programs. Which, when you retire - IF they let you retire - you'll be lucky to get out maybe a third of what you put in. And that's before you take time value of money into account. I do have to congratulate the welfare state for inventing an investment with a negative ROI and forcing people to put their money in it.
VVD is in our new government so 0% chance this passes
>>61712921do they pay you for unrealized loss tho?
>>61729705based
>>61729692So far it seems VVD is doing the "oh noo, would be really bad if this passes, definitely not goood!" approach while secretly being okay with it and probably going to vote in favor of it come march. Boomers with multiple houses who have their entire portfolio consisting of cash and low yield stocks/bonds are totally fine with the new system, and they happen to vote VVD.>tfw investment properties are exempt from the unrealized gains tax Epic, VVD.
>>61713218Damn, I thought the more western countries were better. In Croatia we pay tax only on the gains for the stocks we sell that were bought in the last 2 years. If theyre any older, you pay nothing, just have to report the sale.
>>61729875they used to be. in belgium there was no capital gains tax until recently when they added a 10pct cap gains tax. I'm looking to move to the Balkans.
>>61713218I hate normalfags so much it's unreal. Like cattle to the slaughter. I will never pay this tax
>>61714983Literally this, it's disgusting.
>>61720985This. Fucking brainlets don't realize how good we had it. The current system is awesome.

>>61729692Vvd userbase has 5 houses and box 2 companies. They don't care about modaal.
>>61717294well I guess it means you basically have to sell to pay the taxes on unrealized gainsconsider this: you investment moons, year end comes and you owe taxes on the unrealized gains. what if the investment tanked and never recovered? you must sell at least some to cover the taxes you already own

>>61722516maybe you are white
>>61732515Is fundamental thermodynamics of a market economy right wing? If europe is able to afford having a military + a free market + socialized healthcare it would've already happened. If the Ukranian war didn't happen would they have nationalized people's savings into state ran perpetual investment vehicles? They simply don't have the capital at hand to fund all three scenarios which is why they're entertaining the thought of taxing unrealized gains.European innovation will halt to a stand still because instead of taking out collateralized loans to fund new ventures. They have to pay yearly to a government that will redistribute that wealth into systems that don't produce any meaningful returns. When European innovation slows down, you have competitors prying the market open and usurping their position of relevance.
