Reposting in the new thread:

Manipulation and gsr mostly. Comparing it to Bitcoin is fun when we talk coin to ounce, but when you look at market cap, silver is at $6.1T. and BTC at 1.76T. for comparison NVDA, the most valuable company in the world right now is 4.5T.

https://companiesmarketcap.com/assets-by-market-cap/

Not that it can't go higher it's just very unlikely. Good is at 35.1T market cap. So if silver were to achieve parity in just market cap, it would be $600 an ounce. Saying silver would hit 1:1 to gold ounce prices would make silvers market cap $300trilliin, which would be 10x gold. Again not that it CANT, just that it's very very unlikely. It would take the demand to supply ratio going parabolic

-COMEX has less than 120 million ounces of deliverable silver.

-Shanghai has less than 80 million.

-LBMA has less than 120 million.

-They delivered 150 million ounces all together last month despite the massive price surge through 2025.

-January isn't over and COMEX has to deliver 45 million ounces, which should bring them down to ~75 million as of last night.

So unless someone teleports 500 million ounces of silver into the vaults then they will probably run out within the next couple months or so. The futures contracts should reflect this, there should be very few people waiting for delivery after march since there probably won't be any silver to deliver.

That was just Friday!? Holy shit, I'm losing track of the days. I just spent $5,000 on getting more silver about 2 weeks ago. It was painful, but I've already been vindicated by it.
That 5 grand I spent because I was hesitant to spend it it a few months back because I needed a new car. Transmission died on me and it would have cost more to replace it than I could sell the car for, so it was time. Anyway, I thought the previous 5K was my last big purchase hurrah, but now I'm not so sure. Going all in on anything is folly, but I could still go more in and waiting is folly.
I already know that everyone here would say to do it and buy as much silver as I can. I'm just nervous I guess.

Which is why the price is going up. But at some point the price will be unsustainable for some manufacturers and they'll either find a less-desirable alternative or shut down production.

EVs are already overpriced. You think people are going to pay a $20,000 premium for an EV over a ECE?

Solar is very expensive already and barely produces energy below "fossil" fuel costs. When silver is prohibitively expensive, solar panels will stop being produced.

The are other less-maleable, less-conducive metals that can be substituted for silver in phones and computers. When silver is too high, they'll just switch to other metals.

I think the pmg echo chamber has gotten a few of you to ignore reality

I'm not a fudder. I probably own my silver than you. I'm just trying to be realistic about it. Are you talking about paper contracts? I don't think that means anything, personally. All that matters is tangible silver deliverables and since none of the supply houses MUST supply their paper contracts with physical silver, the paper market could crash to 0 and not affect physical.
>>61723058
No I don't think it will tank. I just don't see how it gets to parity with gold, ounce to ounce. I hope I'm wrong
>>61723097
Am I correct in assuming you're looking at this like a squeeze? I'm not sure what happens then either, but I don't really believe the stuff about big banks having unsustainable silver short positions that will shutter them. Institutions GENERALLY not always use shorts as a hedge against holding an asset long. This is especially true after the 2008 financial crisis killed a few banks that were balls deep in mortgage-backed securities.

Spot price is the price we see but most manufacturers deal in huge quantities for far less than spot. They may even have timed contracts that allow them to buy at say $20/oz even if spot goes to $100. There are so many moving pieces and info we don't have it's impossible trying to determine a time frame for any of this.

It's possible china decides to open its doors again and starts fully dealing silver, which will tank the price. I'm waiting for a large industrial or tech manufacturer to come out and say they can't get silver or that it's prohibitively expensive and their reducing production. I haven't heard anything like that, but once you hear it from 1 there are dozens that are dealing with the same thing, at which point silver could actually moon
>>

I am talking about the physical silver supply above ground. Even with fake paper added in there is still a huge deficit of, as I said twice already, 1B toz. You've skirted around that twice. You sound exactly like a fudder. You're not the first one to come here and do what you're doing
>>

No but seriously, I just don't believe your figure of 1bil silver deficit. Can you show me a screen shot or link to reference that? And you mentioned "including ETFs." Well if you're including ETFs then it is definitely paper trades, not physical.

When you say deficit, that means to me, there were orders totally, for instance, 30bil toz and only 20bil toz delivered over however many years. Is that what you're saying?

>Am I correct in assuming you're looking at this like a squeeze?

No. I’m looking at the very real possibility that COMEX may have to announce insolvency and cease operations in ~2 months because they ran out of silver. I don’t really care about or pay attention to marketing hype or the technicalities of trading action.

> Spot price is the price we see but most manufacturers deal in huge quantities for far less than spot

I know what spot price is. I’m saying that eventually everyone who needs to know the spot price (because they need to buy silver to make electronics or medical devices or whatever) will have to come up with a new solution to determine the spot price, and a new supplier for bars at spot price. COMEX is the dealer of last resort for manufacturers who don’t have personal business relationships with mining companies.

>There are so many moving pieces and info we don't have it's impossible trying to determine a time frame for any of this.

I disagree. I think they have 2 months at the current trajectory, I understand that this can change but I’m saying base case scenario if nothing changes in the market then they have 2 months.

>It's possible china decides to open its doors again

Shanghai has roughly 80 million ounces last I checked, which is less silver than COMEX and LBMA, and they are projected to run out by March.

COMEX, LBMA, and Shanghai pretty much all run out in March, and no one has any viable near term solutions to increase global mining output.

Is this worldwide or just US or something else? I would need to look more closely at how the numbers were compiled and what it all means.

For instance, China does not share their internal numbers with the world, so assuming this includes China, it's total speculation. If this is only US or western nations, then the deficit could have historically been filled by China and since that stopped, the price is going up. That would make sense.

Thanks for posting. I'll do some research later when I have time

This isn't some superstitious crypto market where you just guess your investments. Commodities are mostly run on big bank bullshit and fundamentals.

Central banks in January 2026 are still buying gold in big amounts. That's the only intel you need to know. Do not listen to people; talk is cheap. Simply follow what the big guys are doing.

Ok we are unironically getting raided
>>
About half my stack is 90%. I have an antique store near me where the old guy prices every coin manually, so when the price goes up I go in and raid him and get all his coins for several dollars under spot. I've also priced selling some stuff at the local "we buy gold" place. He says he'll give me 4 dollars under spot for any 999 fine but 90% he's only offer 80% of spot. He told me it's because he's having to wait several months to get paid from his refinery. He also sells 90% under spot but not as much as the antique store. Anyway, thanks for reading my diary, should I swap out of some of my constitutional for 999 fine? If so, how should I do it to avoid getting financially raped?
>>
>>61723535
>there is no national registry of who owns silver
Of course there is. They have databases created by AI for all sorts of stuff like this, they're just not telling us about it. Also everyone on this planet has a detailed file created by AI. This isn't a conspiracy theory by the way this is Trump's public order to Palantir.

However, I don't think they'll go door-to-door though because the juice isn't worth the squeeze. But you never know maybe they'll do it or fake it to scare people into surrendering their metal. Most people have had it with government though so I doubt people will relinquish their metal.

It is not surprising that you are focused on industrial demand, since most silver bros have emphasized that aspect. But a significant part of the silver surge is riding the same train as the gold surge: flight into hard assets out of fear for the collapse of the dollar and its pumped derivatives. For most of history, silver's MAIN use has been as money. Even when used for things like high-end table ware, it was serving one of the roles of money: storing wealth in tangible form.

So the total focus on the industrial demand is, in my opinion, missing at least half the market movement.

Havnt seen what youd expect like dimes and war nickels. Have seen a lot of ASEs. Tubes of maples. Wierd generic 1oz rounds. Broken jewlery in 1gal ziplock bags and 5gal buckets. Old silverware.
