Not my stack, but some our Engelhards did get blacked by a cheap Sentry safe, not from eggs and garlic. I have used the aluminum foil, baking soda, boiling water trick on a really ugly tarnished JM bar which didn't make it shiny, but went from real ugly dark to a nice matte silver, picrel.

>I really wish I had gotten more large bars.
The advantage of large bars is it makes accounting very easy. The DISadvantage of large bars, depending on tax jurisdiction is that they are now worth over $10,000US, when you buy, and are or will soon be >$10k when you sell.

In the USA, this triggers the mandatory IRS 1099 report, whereas selling a monster box of silver Eagles does not.

>>61727568
Unless you kept detailed purchase records for each bar, which most haven't, particularly if they bought with cash, then you would have to make a guess as to how much you originally paid.

If a 100oz bar was cut in half, then it would be under the threshold for reporting. When we were buying years ago, we always looked for the lowest total cost per oz. Ouncemaxing. Sometimes the LCS only had 10oz bars.

Today, I would be mindful of keeping under reporting limits when buying or selling if I was living in the USA.

This is not tax advice.

Someone told me that loans are tax free.
A pawn shop will give you a loan for your PMs, and you get to keep them.
Be your own bank with no paper trail.
There is no 10k on a loan, you can get a loan for 1 mil, this is how the rich avoid taxes, legally of course.
There are other more sophisticated companies to loan out to as well.

You may be correct legally, morally and constitutionally, but the Federal Judiciary is corrupt. The managed to buck break Wesley Snipes, and they left Peter Schiff's elderly father to die of liver cancer in prison.

I said you were likely correct in every moral way. Does that matter to a criminal who seeks to rob you?

Yes, you have the moral right to resist and kill anyone who attempts to rob you, but you also have to pick your battles if you wish to survive.

Every man must pick and choose his own battles, and I won't judge a man who choses discretion over valor, especially when the odds are overwhelmingly against him.

We may see a true American grassroots tax revolt as Trump caves on everything and they go back to using unlimited taxpayer money to subsidize subsaharan and indian mass migration to replace white men.

yeah im agreeing with you it’s entirely possible that they will try and rob me or god forbid imprison me. i’m reminded of jesus saying “give to caesar what is caesar’s” which is part of the reason i only stacked generics and didn’t stack sovereigns. if a man’s got a family it’s reasonable for him to not want to get ruby ridged. but yeah i think we are about to see the total balkanization of the us and only a few states will continue upholding the principles of the constitution. me and my stack will probably end up in a cabin in alaska when that day comes

The rich become wealthy by acquiring assets, loaning against them, and buying more assets. This is the whole of America, a house of cards, but if you are poor, you could start by taking a loan against your PMs for say a home mortgage or even better a piece of land you can then lease out to a farmer, oil company ect.

>Specialized lenders (e.g., companies focused on precious metals like JM Bullion, APMEX, or others) offer asset-based loans where you pledge your gold or silver to borrow cash. These are often short-term, with loan amounts based on a loan-to-value ratio (typically 60-85% of the appraised value). You can then use the borrowed funds for a down payment, closing costs, or to improve your debt-to-income ratio and overall financial profile for mortgage approval. This avoids selling your metals and triggering taxes immediately.

Being obedient goyim has worked very well their entire lives, so far, for boomers.

Just like the turkey who sees the farmer as a good guy who feeds, and looks after the turkey every day for nearly 3 years, until one day the farmer comes out carrying an ax.

Boomers are nearing the end of their "almost three years" of nice treatment by the farmer. Nothing ever happens, until one day, for no reason whatsoever...

There's over a billion ounces of silver short outstanding. The shorted over a billion just on Monday alone. Multiply the number of short contracts by 5000 to get the total reportable short ounces. This doesn't include the not reportable shorts.
https://ycharts.com/indicators/comex_silver_combined_total_reportable_short_positions

This is why they go to extreme lengths to keep silver under $117. Above that number, the bullion banks begin to feel extreme pain.

The shorts are almost in as much pain as the thought of being born a jeet.
