With failing confidence in monero due open view key criticisms, it might not completely fail but it will suffer backlash, which is what we have recently witnessed on the XMR price. I had recently found an alternative called Nerva which is an old fork of monero. I got a lot of shit (from anons who are dumb as hell and paid shill actors working for the jew) for even bring it up. I don't hope that monero fails, on the contrary i hope it succeeds as a privacy coin. Hopefully the recent backlash will flush out any dev's who have pointy nose bankers in their pockets, and bring the community closer together. If theyre not compromised, hopefully they will listen to the community. Whether its true that their devs are compromised or not, I dont know. But back to Nerva, it was recently relisted, like since i mentioned it a few days ago. I didnt expect it to change that quick. I was just having fun posting on here and didn't really think much of it. I guess people are paying attention.Difference between monero and nervamonero allows for non cpu mining, but its slow. monero also allows for pooled mining.nerva does not. nerva holds a closer view of the satoshi whitepaper.1 CPU=1 VOTE. No gpus, no asics. The only thing you have to look for to use your cpu is if its AES-NI capable. If it is, your in luck. There are also no pools. So no pooled mining. Everyone has a cpu, this holds the bigger players back so that a bitcoin 2.0 doesnt happen, and is what monero tries to do by changing the algorithm.
>bitcoin 2.0 doesnt happenI'm under the impression that there's still a lot of person who think miners decide the rules of the network, that is funny, anyone think there's some people out there wasting hundreds of hours building tools built on a false belief? it seems soother than that there is no security issue on bitcoin, only perfectible privacy which has nothing to do with mining
>>61748054Saar you are the only person who posts about nerva. No, you changing your IP after you posted in /XMR/ doesn't count. Especially since you were fudding about the new view keys.
>>61748602You guys used to shit on zcash for it's "optional privacy" saying it was stupid. Now Monero devs want to do the same and it's suddenly "oh it's not a big deal".If they go forward with this update, then Monero is no different from z trash and both should die.
>>61748283i mean regarding asics, asic development being bitcoin 2.0 because the little guy can no longer compete and it becomes solely in the hands of corporations, which of course are controlled by the jewmachine9000. monero sort of prevents it, hopefully nerva actually prevents it.>>61748602changing my ip? i openly admitted to being the same person dumbass. >>>61747926 i wonder if the other guy is you?>>61748743>You guys used to shit on zcash for it's "optional privacy" saying it was stupid.>Now Monero devs want to do the same and it's suddenly "oh it's not a big deal".>If they go forward with this update, then Monero is no different from z trash and both should die.Couldnt have said it better. Its strange the amount of shills even on the reddit forum that are attempting to derail any honest discussion about the issue. Combine that with the devs making the decision and banning user's posts, and me being old as fuck, i wonder if its the same playbook tactic that the jew always pulls. Purposely creating confusion while passing new laws that tighten the chains. People will be too busy in the confusion to even make out what is happening.
>>61748743>What is opt-in vs opt-out?>If they go forward with this update, then Monero is no different from z trash and both should die.Completely wrong and you've been corrected multiple times now in the general. >>61748895You might genuinely be retarded
>>61748895but they can join a mining pool and now with new mining protocols they can control their own template not the pool operatorso that makes it a non issue
>>61748602I'm the other anon. I was skeptical at first but It's actually legit. The fact that the community is still actively supporting it and it getting relisted so quickly says a lot. Stay mad while I'm mining hundreds a day while shit posting. >>61748895lots of shills on here but anons with a brain can see it's true value and potential. Keep sharing the message!Bitcoin isn't scalable, there will come a time when mining rewards and the price to sustain it will implode. Let alone the infrastructure that will be required to support. I'm not saying Nerva is the next Bitcoin but it's going in the right direction by being built with these limitations in mind. A pure decentralized CPU only privacy coin is closer to satoshis vision of BTC than what it currently is.
>>61749672>getting relistedBullish but against the spirit of XMR
>>61749436member that time Moneros hashrate spiked and everyone thought it was a botnet but it was just a private company pricing you out with their custom ASICs? I member.Nerva uses Cyrptonight-Adaptive, the algorithm changes randomly every block so it's truly ASIC resistant.
>>61748054Your shitcoin is irrelevant. Zero.Monero is king.
>>61748054where do i buy nerva, i want to read in on it and maybe throw a little money for fun
>>61749843nonkyc io/market/XNV_USDT there's also a XMR pair.
Uh ummm I would like to buy two weeds for a nerve gas please.Said nobody ever.Utterly delusional lmao.
>>61749875yeah i see it, its very low. It's a new shitcoin?
>>61749982No, it's been around since 2018. Just got relisted after the previous exchange got raided by canadian govt. 20-30% of the total supply of XNV was lost when it happened.Low volume right now, was at an all time high of .32 back during COVID.
>>61750074nigger wallet doesnt want to synch bruh, so it's grandpa coin kek. Why do you think it's worthwhile
>>61750093Download the quicksync file and read the guide, shits easy.CPU only decentralized privacy coin. No ASICs or GPU miners. It's closer to what satoshi envisioned Bitcoin to be compared to what it is today.

>>61750631>>61750990Ring size obsession is reddit-tier analysis.
>>61751539>Le view keys are bad>But who cares about ring size?
>>61750169I boughted bro, with 20$. Let’s see what happens aight. Xoxo.
>>61748054It looks like a cool project.
>>61749672We have Wownero for that already. I'm personally going to build a project on it kn the years to come. It's perfect. Everyone has had their chance too. 10k Wownero to make it gentlemen.
Hash rate already doubled since yesterday
>>61748982>Completely wrong and you've been corrected multiple times now in the general>You might genuinely be retardedCan you actually answer their concerns? I keep reading that we're spreading fud, and yet i also keep seeing a bunch of name calling responses and empty "answers." Not once even in the general has the community been given an honest answer to their questions. When someone explains how the new fork works and someone else raises a concern, no one answers them. You all just keep saying you already answered it, when if you had they woulnd't be complaining. I myself have yet to see it. I have yet to see the actual answers other than "well the new OVK is the same as the old OVK which we already have" yet its clear the new one allows viewing incoming transactions, permanently, whereas the old one would only show outgoing. No one has addressed multiple nodes asking for KYC and then doind meta data analysis to see where funds are going, something that would be practically impossible using the old OVK. So stop calling people retarded and answer the questions.>>61749436thats a bandaid for an underlying issue that nerva solves from the get-go.>>61749779how is it against the spirit of XMR? Did you read the OP? We are FOR monero, not against it. Nerva got relisted as soon as popularity picked up, the devs are listening, unlike monero sadly.>>61749830>>61749909unobservant shill talk, we dont hate monero.>>61750093it syncs, itll take a while though. Monero took me 3 days so who cares if that is the current bar we settle on. Maybe a day.>>61750631that the same guy whos shitting up this thread ill bet. see here:>>61750990>>61751670>ring size is currently 16 in monero, i have yet to see nerva cracked. the moment it picks up the devs will increase it. its a test project under development. moneros ring size used to be 5 also.>>61754253>hashrate doubled since yesterdayniceee
>>61755141>Can you actually answer their concerns?1. That's not how carrot would work now2. Carrot will only be implemented when fcmp++ exists which will massively reduce the scope of what could be seen even now3. It's opt-in. This means normies (who as we know are hard to motivate for extra work with now benefit) won't just give them out.4. The idiotic narrative of being forced to give your view keys only works if anonymity was broken. 5. The same idiotic narrative already also works currently for any project that doesn't have plausible deniability for using it. That isn't combated by ANY cryptocurrency currently. What is plausibly deniable as of now is spending which is why ring size matters.>>61755141>how is it against the spirit of XMR?We don't care about being listed. Being delisted means the jews don't want you to have the asset. This is a good thing. Being relisted means you are collaborating with the jews or not seen as a threat. That is precisely why carrot gets attacked. So you are basically saying that X is bad if XMR does it but good when nerva does.>>61755141>the moment it picks up the devs will increase it.If you only increase your scope after your attacks increase you'll lose. You don't build a castle while you're under siege.>moneros ring size used to be 5'We're not any better than you in the past' isn't an argument. Tell me, why should we care about nerva?>RelistedThat's precisely the (false) argument used against XMR currently because of carrot. >XMR devsXMR still got more XMR devs.>Test projectWhy would I want my money AND my financial security AND my opsec tied to some test project? We use what is battle tested hence also avoiding ZEC.>Hash rate doubles because of posting to bizThis is the most bearish thing I ever heard. Value isn't determined by who can most effectively pander to retards>We are FOR XMRThen why are you trying to reduce our MC, muddy our field, regress our development and hurt our PR with this shitcoin?
