I lived with my mom and paid her $1000 a month for rent because she was old and in bad health. Well she has since passed away and I inherited the house (and a 200k mortgage which I paid off completely in one shot with my gains)

Now I've done the math on the monthly bills and with property tax, electricity, gas, water tax, garbage tax, and internet bill I'm paying.... $1000 a month
