Honestly i was having way more fun with cheap silver anyways. The $100+ tag price starting making everyone too anxious and nervous and eventually we will DCA the losses. Maybe 20 years before we see silver @ $100 again

I like the theory that the price is being suppressed just so they can default and pay out the paper traders as little as possible.
If they know they are about to run out of physical, then it makes sense why they did the gigatamp recently.

We had deflation after the 2008 bust until like 2014, stable prices made the metals story look dumb. Silver might do nothing, but gold isn't going down until prices deflate and people regain trust in the government and financial markets. Gold will continue to run until after the AI and property bubble pops, silver might get dragged around.
>>
the game is rigged. It is possible they won't ever allow silver to get that high again, crab it below $70 then $50, bottom at $30, but meander slow crab for years, decades

Read your own stupid fucking chart, 200-300M ounces every year goes into stackers hoards, 50M ounces gets turned into plates and forks, 200M ounces into jewelry, 50M ounces into solder. EVERY SINGLE FUCKING YEAR.

That is an excess supply just waiting to flood the market, silver will never be scarce specifically because people turn half the yearly supply into bullshit that they throw into a pile.
>>
>>61796429
>how safe is it to say that it's real?
If it passes the basic tests, it's probably silver. Fake silver is either magnetic or has the wrong weight or size. Only molybdenum has a density close to silver and I've never heard of that. Mo also has a fiendishly high melting point. 4753F.

Density is the best test. Ping is the easiest test.

I've always subscribed to the notion that comex will say silver is worth $20. What good is that price when you cant physically buy it anywhere? By the time March contracts start settling there won't be any physical to buy so the price is just there so they can settle in cash.

That is when boom goes boom.

Outside of ideological arguments (silver is the people's money where gold is the bank's) it's really all about about timing. You should really wait until you think the GSR is as low as it will get. You have to understand silver is only bad right now because their contracts are going through in March, late February it starts. They are going to be in force majeure meaning they have no physical metal left. What that means is they will pay the spot price for the paper contracts when everyone and their mother needs physical. So of course they want the price to die down. On Friday it was the single largest economic manipulation event ever in human history. We lost 15 trillion dollars in commodities, half the total US GSP total. So yeah in March it all goes to shit for the economy. There is literally nothing they can do now and silver will explode in price. Gold is a metal that isn't manipulated in price as much because there is so much of it. Expect silver to easily surpass 500 usd an ounce as BTC goes to 0.
>>
>>61796689
Gold is more stable but harder to move for smaller trade transactions than silver. Take your pick and what you expect for the future. You probably should have some amount of both tho

The essential asset is being bought directly from mines by the people who need it at way lower prices and bypassing the paper market that you're all dealing in.

The CIA honeypot will moon before silver does again when war starts because people will be looking to hop borders while carrying their wealth. Silver is not wealth.

Depends on what it is. All the popular stuff gets faked
>Eagles, Morgans, Krugs, Scottsdale
Something obscure like a round from 2012 or unpopular world coins like a 1966 Franco 100 peseta, not worth the effort for a chinaman to fake.
As the others suggest: always ping test. You'll get to know the sound almost immediately

What is even the point of holding when they smashed the price back to 30$ and stays there for decades once again? Playing the evil's advocate here. Probably not going to happen, but the kikes really seem to do with this asset whatever they want right now. Silver is not precious, it's not rare, every year hundreds of millions of ounces go into an increasing stockpile from people hoarding it because they're delusional. Any sort of price run up is short lived because this stockpile comes flooding out of the woodwork and you got refiners even rejecting the metal.

That means they can't get a hold of real silver from retail buyers and have to pump up my mining stocks. They are trying to shake that out too. I already cashed in a small proton of my Mumu bucks at the end January. Do you want high priced silver or a strong mining boom? Pick one faggots! You can't suppress both without losing a ton of money. I will buy more silver and mining stocks with my Mumu bucks. I win either way.

Get it through your fucking skull that we are not living in the Roman Empire and that silver and gold have completely different uses now. Gold is an ACTUAL store of value, silver is worthless tarnishing crap that gets made into knives and forks, there is and never will be a shortage of silver. I ASSUME you mental retards are “investing” in silver because you consider it a store of value, hence why you are buying bullion, well you are wasting your money, every dollar of that should be put into gold if what you actually care about is capital . I am mystified by the pushback against this idea here but I can only chalk it up to two things
1) sunk cost fallacy, none of you want to admit you bought the wrong asset and will keep “buying the dip” until the price crashes, literally the same behaviour as the bitcoin people
2) you only ever got into silver in the first place because it was cheap and you couldn’t afford to get into gold

Well, when silver hit $120 I called it dropping to The $50s-$60s. The most recent low I saw was like $70 so Its close to my estimate. It may have another leg down. But it will not stay there. If you bought high, be patient. If you're looking for a new buying, Friday might be good BUT it could keep dropping and it could sustain these prices for a while. The longer it stays in this range, the easier it will be to slurp, as dealers realize the price action has settled down and they can again release supply without losing their ass.

To the guys who told me it would never drop below $120 again - there were at least 2 of you accusing me of fud: ssucks to suck, huh?

Looks like shills are pretty spunky today. Their time is coming, silver is running out both in China and in western vaults.

tick tock shills, your time is running out. March is when it's all over for you.

Stackers, your time is also coming. You also have a deadline. When the vaults run out, the price will gap up over $200. Buy now while you can, whatever you can. Ignore j&j, (jeets & jews) their interests are not in your best interests.

I know you're a retarded shitskin but I'll bite. Gold isn't consumed as much by manufacturing products. It tends to be traded between countries while staying in its original form. The paper:physical ratio also isn't as high, so there isn't the same upside potential?

Silver is a shit investment while our Gov still stands and the dollar is the reserve, we're all just betting against America because of all the printing and fraud but would it shock me if someone like Trump can keep it afloat for another decade plus? Nope, hes the perfect guy without any morals who will kill/destroy/starve any country or threat to the dollars supremacy. If biden or the dems were in power we might topple in a few years at most but with Trump he would kill all 2 billion chinese and sleep like a baby to keep the dollar king.

There are zero primary silver miners who have a $5 AISC. Nearly all are above $20, some considerably more.

If silver is so cheap and abundant, why are the vaults running to zero. Why are industrial users desperate to sign private deals direct with miners? Why did China implement export restrictions?

Chinese ponzi scheme like everything they invest in.

>Why are industrial users desperate to sign private deals direct with miners?
Because the real price of the metal has nothing to do with the paper or stacking market, why wouldn't you go directly to the manufacturer if you could instead of going to the jewish dealership?

>Why did China implement export restrictions?
Economic warfare.

>If silver is so cheap and abundant
It is, every year about 400 million ounces are turned into stacks or plates and forks and stored away, just waiting for an opportunity to be sold.

Yeah, that makes no sense at all.
When you buy physical pm's there is tax, but it's very minor - it's whatever your local sales tax amount is.
Even the most moon bat state it's no where near 100%, let alone 10%.
It's usually around 5%, give or take.

One must consider with numismatics how many of them have just recently been thrown into a smelter for their metal content.
Right now numismatic premiums are quite low on a lot of stuff, but in the years to come I expect them to rebound as people realize the scarcity has greatly increased. Things like Canadian 80% dollars are another good example of a cheap numismatic.
>>
>>61797858
Buy gold and silver plus mining stocks. The mining stocks earn you a profit. Physical hedges against inflation and unexpected down turns. You buy and sell these in tandem. Yes you must hold them for years if not decades.

true, personally i was a collector first and stacker second. It was sad seeing the stuff that gets sent to the local refiner. Last year while I was there the boss showed me a coin asking me if he tought it could be worth something, it was an italian 100 lire "Vetta d'Italia", easily worth 7-8k depending on the condition. Problem was he already had melted a bit off to test if it was gold like the utter retard he was.
>>
>>61799167
The dollar already lost its status as number one reserve asset. And the decline is accelerating. Trump's reckless spending will Only make matters worse. Thinking you can stop hyperinflation by killing people is just some creepy fantasy.
>>
>>61799228
You didn't answer the question. If silver is cheap and abundant, why are all the vaults running out? COMEX/LBMA/SGE/SHFE are all running out. More miners have signed private deals with industry to buy their dore bars and concentrate, completely bypassing the markets.

When the vaults run dry, silver will gap up to $200+.

The industry knows this. The bullion banks know this, that's why they are removing silver from registered, closing their shorts, and buying up as much cheap silver as they can while they position themselves to go long for when that happens.

It's why they pay shills to come onto 4chan, reddit, twitter, etc to FUD silver.

>It is, every year about 400 million ounces are turned into stacks or plates
Sorry sweaty, the silver institute isn't a credible source, and you're going to need to pay some real money to get the silver out of the hands of stackers.

Much of the silver that formerly went into silverware is now going into retail coins and bars held by stackers who aren't interested in $74/oz. You've already gotten all the low hanging boomer fruit at $40, $50 and $120.

Why would a stacker give up silver at $100/oz when the US dollar is failing and the future uncertain?
