What mineral would need price floor protections as alluded to in the recent white house conference?
The only one I can think of is gold.

What other mineral would it be an issue if the price dumped because the market was flooded with supply?
We don't produce or refine anything in the US so why would it matter if valuable resources were cheaper?

I think the golden rug pull theory is correct and that the US is preparing themselves to counteract China weaponizing gold.

Metal markets have been manipulated and crashed in the past as a form of economic warfare.

The way I interpreted the price floor thing is that the US will not allow the Chinese to dump the price of gold. That they will not allow another country to take control of the metals manipulation.

>here is an example of a price floor in precious metals and specifically gold:
>Gold Standard & Bretton Woods (Pre-1971): For decades, the US government set a strict price floor for gold. It was fixed at $20.67 per ounce in 1834 and later increased to $35 per ounce in 1934. This lasted until the "Nixon Shock" in August 1971, when the US severed the direct convertibility of the dollar to gold.

Nearly all the gold ever mined is still in vaults today. It's not out of the question that there is an abundance of gold. We know that China lies about their reserves and buying quantities.

Can you think of another mineral/metal that would need price floor protection? I cant because most minerals are used for something so it wouldn't matter if the price crashes because the US doesnt produce any meaningful amount anyway.
The only one I can think of is gold because it is only used as a store of value so the price dumping would actually be bad for the jUSA

>article from 2021
https://goldbroker.com/news/china-owns-lot-more-gold-than-its-letting-on-2281
>charts from 2024

The BRICS nations are probably setting up for a golden rug pull and the jUSA recently promised price floor protection because they know what is coming.

Any euros here who tried to sell part of his stash? Which coins were the most easily liquidated?
I sold 150oz recently and of them I had the hardest time trying to sell the silver eagles despite being regarded as the most liquid due to the coin shops saying their minting quality is so lousy that it attracks forgerers. (looking at them with a loupe it does feel like they are right when you compare them even to african coins like the elephants)
Most of my stuff was pamp 10 oz ingots and a maples/phils. I kinda feel like I want to offload the eagles now and buy something else but the price is too high.

Explain it to me like I'm a drooling retard.
For a few years now, we knew, and I in particular, remember when China had reports that they initiated stockpiling gold. What could the USA (the string puppet of Israel) possibly to do China if they wanted to retaliate? A goods war? A literal war? What would USA possibly do if the serpents above were to be absolutely pissed and want to take action over losing control?

What would this do to silver price in the US? Also if China wants to put their reserves as the Yuan, then conflict over all of this is inevitable, since China would likely want to back their Yuan with silver. As you said last thread they prefer silver, and it would release them from the shackles of the monometal gold standard.

What if they backed the Yuan with gold and silver both? That would be interesting. But again this would instantly trigger WW3 I think

understand this is only a theory and we are trying to talk about new ideas and possibilities.
gold has no real use besides being a store of value.

for a long time we've been talking about the many times the jews have demonetized silver and implemented a gold standard. read the pic attached for some history info. you can just read the highlighted parts or whatever chapter interest you.

this has lead some of us to believe that gold is very abundant and that they are lying about how rare it is.

the recent mineral conference that the white house hosted had about half the world represented there. They talked about implementing price floors on minerals.
what minerals could they be talking about? we dont know specifically but to me it makes sense that they are talking about gold.

the BRICS nations together have large amounts of gold. enough to star weaponizing it exactly like the jews have done in the past.
it makes sense that the US is reassuring the world that they will be ready to counteract this hypothetical golden rug pull/

search anything about chinese gold hoarding and you will see many articles saying that they have much more than they report.
>>
>>61813211
china and russia aren't going to weaponize gold by dumping it for dollars. that would be completely counter to the long game everyone on earth is playing in the wake of the imminent loss of the dollar's reserve status (imminent but could easily take 10,20 more years just fyi)
the mineral price floors are likely to keep small scale US mineral production functional (although we've already bled off a lot of mineral production capacity, our last lead and zinc smelter shut down under obama. the USA produces zero refined lead)
>>
>>61813208
>went from like $20 to $450
just like your mom
>>
>>61813179
i dont know. too many factors for me to apply any logical reasoning with my limited knowledge.

but it does seem like the BRICS nations are set up to compete as the gold backed world reserve currency.
if they achieve that then they can use their big reserves to bully and cripple competing nations.

but who know, maybe the jewish banks have even more gold than the chinese know about.

another recent event with gold is Tether's investments in gold. see this article

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2026/02/05/tether-buys-usd150-million-stake-in-gold-com-to-boost-tokenized-gold-distribution

they own a lot of gold. no silver. very sussy. who knows what their plan is or how accurate any of their holdings are.

that's easy to say, but the jews have done exactly that many times.
but i dont know their plans either. I'm just a guy looking at the info that they are presenting us and connecting some dots to the best of my abilities.

i'm also not so sure about the price floor being about small scale US mineral production. think about the context.
precious metals had a crazy run up and crash. china announced restrictions. Why would the US gather over 50 countries for this mineral conference just over small scale mineral producers. this was important. this was about gold and the US as the reserve currency.

and notice they never say the words silver or gold but everything they talked about was about the uses if silver and gold.

Thinking more about my post, we should think about the implications of this:
>USA puts price floor for gold at $21,000 (they buy any gold for $21,000)
>USA puts price ceiling for silver at $300 (so GSR is 1:70, they give away silver for $300)
>PRC puts price ceiling for gold at $10,000 (they give gold away for $10,000)
>PRC puts price floor for silver at $2,000 (so GSR is 1:5, they buy any silver for $2,000)
These 4 would be exactly what each side would want to happen, for their own targets and benefits.
All these USA tamps were made to artificially increase the GSR, not to tamp both silver and gold.
I believe this move is intended to prevent a $$$ hyperinflation, while allowing the PRC to keep draining the USA of silver.

>There is nothing bullish on the silver chart.
You can't use short term TA on something as heavily manipulated as silver, especially right now. Bullion banks are colluding with the COMEX to slam the price through the floor in preparation for their force majeure.

This is NOT normal market activity by any means. The physical price has completely bifurcated from the spot price, supply chains are in disarray, Swiss inventories are empty, Australian dealers are giving up, the USA has just signalled an intention on setting a price floor.

How can we have multiple several sigma price drops while at the same time having dwindling supply, broken supply chains and miners boycotting the COMEX? All the indicators suggest triple digit silver as soon as the jews take their thumb off the scale.

yes I really want to hear what their plans are with these price floors.

I agree that they want to keep the price of gold up and that silver got away from them because it has irreplaceable properties.
Do you know of any other industries where the government has implemented a price floor?

minimum wage is kind of an example of that and I think they've done something similar with farmers.

this scenario falls in line with what I've been calling the golden rugpull.
there is an abundance of gold available and it will be used to steal all the very useful silver.
I just always thought it would be the jews who do it, not the chinks.
But what do I know, all that gold might end up in the jews vaults anyways and they would regain majority control over the world's gold and force another gold standard and use their gold monopoly to conquer the goyim just like they have every single time.

You can sell any amount of ASEs and it doesn't trigger mandatory IRS 1099 reporting by the dealer who buys them.

Hmm, that may be the reason for all the "GSR means nothing" posts. We had all these "supposed stackers" in previous threads all of a sudden stating that. If the purpose of these ceilings and floors are to try to artificially set the GSR. that would make sense. I wonder what this could mean for some miners since some may be able to sell to both countries?

you do realize the demonetization of silver was due to american mines crashing the melt value of the metal well below the value of the silver money right
people were able to hand 50 dollars of bullion to the mint and get back upwards of 70 dollars of silver coinage

and before this the flood of gold from california and australia had caused the melt value silver to be worth upwards of 30 percent more than its coinage face value. silver got demonetized in europe because these episodes were back to back
>>
It is kind of strange that gold is more valuable than silver even though it has very little use.
Is it only expensive because Jews say so?
I've always liked how silver looks better anyways, so I guess my gut feeling was right.

gold is more valuable than silver because gold is much less abundant. all gold ever mined + all gold known in the ground would make a cube smaller than a medium sized office building. its only a few thousand tons
gold has plenty of industrial uses, its just so expensive that people only use it when absolutely necessary

>that's one interesting explanation for that.
>I dont believe it though.
this is back in the mid-late 1800s so well before jews had power in most european countries
>they've demonetized silver and forced a gold standard multiple times
that wasn't the jews it was the white christian rulers of the european empires who did it for very simple and well documented reasons as already explained

britain had already been on the gold standard since the coinage act of 1816, and before that they were on a de facto gold standard because sir isaac newton (yes that one) set the face value of the gold guinea too high back in 1717

before around 1900 britain was the only european country where jews had notable power aside from a handful of heavily restricted banking clans on the continent

back when countries were on metallic standards the coins traded on the open market for all sorts of values and arbitrage against the mint was a constant problem. thats one of the main reasons they switched to fiat issuance in the early 1900s, even while staying on the gold standard in most cases

this is all very basic precious metals history

Agreed. The USA became the world's undisputed economic and military power through Industrial capacity and controlling the World's reserve and trade currency. It was able to control the world's currency through the Bretton Woods gold standard. Even after breaking Betton Woods, the dollar had enough momentum to last until now. But the USA no longer dominates with industrial capacity and the dollar is losing its grip. China knows all of this very well. If it wanted to follow in the steps of US power and prosperity, it has the path already laid out: increase industrial capacity (which it has done) and issue a gold-backed trade currency. China is stockpiling gold and building alliances with some of the world's biggest gold producers because it intends to establish a new world gold standard under its control. The BRICS have not issued a gold-backed currency yet because they can't agree to let China control it and they are not ready to give up the fiat printing press. But they will. The prize is too lucrative. Even if China has to do it alone.

The proposed alternative, that China wants to crash gold prices doesn't make any sense at all. Why would they crush the value of an asset they have tried hard to accumulate? In exchange for depreciating dollars? And in the process giving the USA more control over their finances? Maybe shutting them out of SWIFT or freezing their assets? China wants to REPLACE the dollar, not accumulate more. Replacing the dollar leads to wealth. Accumulating dollars leads to less wealth and less freedom.

Gold is "relatively" abundant but it rarely is found in veins big enough to extract it in any economical way.
>but that dude who randomly found 10oz of silver in the australian desert
Try looking the entirety of the australian desert and you will likely find silver just a few times in the entirety of that surface area.
That's the problem with gold, it's very disperse. Extremely so. It requires very specific geographic and geological conditions to find any gold that is worth extracting
>>

Owing to arbitrage, if there’s a discrepancy between the GSR anywhere the market will close the spread, as long as the market is permitted to function. Me has to consider not just the market implications however, but the broader psychological implications of any sick “shake up” of the gold or silver prices. To set either price max/mins, or such schemes like revaluations, this would be an explicit admission that gold is money and dollars are not money. That’s very monetarily significant, as both a fiat money and a commodity money cannot occupy the same universe at the same time. A currency arbitrage is established between the fiat credit and the commodity money, and since the fiat credit is infinitely borrowable, the commodity money kills the pricing structure of the credit. What this would look like
>borrow dollars to buy oil
>price of oil in dollars goes up
>sell oil for gold
>price of oil in gold goes down
Greshams law will suck the gold money out of the economy at the same time the fiat credit is hyperinflated.

Lithium and other rare earths just off the top of my mind.
>We don't produce or refine anything in the US
Exactly and we never will so long as china keeps dumping cheap supply onto the market. The US has just about every mineral would could possibly need within our own borders barring a couple things like cobalt. Due to our environmental and worker safety restrictions we simply can't mine some of these things as cheaply as china even if we have deposits of equal or superior quality.

As for your golden rug pull theory I highly doubt it. The reason BRICS are buying so much gold is to divest themselves of US bonds now that Basel III is in effect.

China has long defended the dollar by weaking the yuan relative to it. A strong dollar is a large reason - maybe even the primary reason - why china gets to export to the nth degree and continue on with its malfeasant investment regime. A strong dollar = American production less competitive = Baked in trade deficits. A weak dollar reverses that which means the US will import less and export more and compete with Chinese exports. Xi no likey.

Thanks to you and the other anon for this intelligent reply. But, as another anon pointed out, China has other customers and, I believe , Europe is busy kissing China's ass recently. Also, China is no longer America's biggest trade partner. So many pieces are in motion. I think China would gladly trade America as a customer for control of the world's trade currency. And I don't think anything short of an American coup will save the dollar at this point. All the brakes on Federal spending have come off.

China has other customers but none of them, even combined, have the same spending habits and consumption patterns of Americans. A lot of Chinese production was tooled to that, and they can sell it elsewhere but they'll have to sell it for cheaper which eats into their already bad margins. Now, the CCP doesn't really care about the margins, but its shrinkage causes manufacturers to take on more debt which must be rolled over and refinanced, which can only be done by the state because there is no private banking in China. So reduced margins from exports squeezes the entire financial structure of China. FWIW this isn't 4d chess or anything, the finances of China have been shitty for a decade+ now. Trump playing hardball is the causal mechanism of whatever financial crisis hits the CCP but it was going to be something around now if not him.

Yeah he might want that, but he's no closer to that today than when he said it two years ago. Xi is ultimately unwilling to do the restructuring of its internal economy (read: social structure) that it would take to make the yuan the global reserve. The US internal economy would benefit significantly long-term from losing global reserve status, though there would be a transition period of about a decade from externally focused financial services to a more balanced internal focus on matching production with consumption

Hear my theory:

US is using American refiners to melt Latin American silver ore.

That’s why American refiners are not taking junk or sterling silver anymore.

This means that since refiners are contracted by the US government to melt ore for the US strategic ore its going to be impossible for coinshops to refine silver. That will make coinshops go out of business killing the US retail silver market.

This will spill over into gold and even refining scrap gold will be hard since all American and Canadian refiners will be busy refining silver ore for the American strategic reserve.

You think GM and Ford don't know how to make the parts that they designed? China gets that work because they wanted to do it at scale, because Xi is subsidizing a jobs program in China. If China dropped the US as an export destination there would be about 18-24 months of hang time and then there would be factories in Mexico or even in the US south doing that work. I know you guys are financially and apparently emotionally invested in the decline of the US but you should get a grip

I don't know if it will dip before close, or at open.
But it won't be as sharp as last time since it's a smaller margin requirement increase, and we're not running on that January bull run. There's probably far fewer leveraged traders that are going to get pushed out to trigger the stop losses that crashed it last time.
Probably a small-med dip at best, I wouldn't want to challenge it.

A lot of people might be anticipating it and putting shorts so the Jews will just pump it instead

My point is that if the US gov contracts all the big refiners to melt ore for the American strategic reserve then coin shops will be cut off from refiners and it will kill the US bullion industry. America will sacrifice its retail bullion industry to create a strategic reserve.

That means you may have silver but it could become hard to sell depending on what it is since shops wont buy 100oz bars if refiners wont refine them.

Honestly punch that query into an LLM and ask what it thinks

i think .999 pure silver should be fine. sterling, scrap, and 90% might have some problems.

I do think we will get a multiple black swan situation and it will include what you mentioned.

I already heard one of the youtube coinshop guys mention that theyre losing refiners and they are a big source of cashflow for small shops.

Demand for fake paper contracts?

They control the media, they control the mechanism for setting prices. Where is real price discovery going to happen?

Ask yourself: in a resource war is America refining silver ore or granny’s silverware? Is America competing with china for silver ore or scrap silver bracelets?

And i watched some YouTube videos where they talked about shops not taking 100oz bars because refiners dont want them.

Why turn down 100oz bars for any other reason than: they are contracted to refine something more important which is ore and its because the US gov wants to keep it away from china and its the fastest way to refine a huge amount of silver fast.

.90 and sterling don't need to be refined to be valuable
i swear, this belief that .999 is holy has only started recently i.e. it's all newbies overreacting to nonsense

>US gov wants to keep it away from china and its the fastest way to refine a huge amount of silver fast.

interesting theory. it's a race to slurp up the mining supply. they can always steal/buy the rest form citizens.

thanks for posting.
>>
>>61814467
Probably because China and India are both sitting at $82 so the arbitrage incentive dies off the closer you get.
>>
>>61814504
The supply chain for stores is:

Old scrap and gold bars and coins > refiner > new 2026 coins and bars in 999

It’s not that 90 percent is bad but people want the new easy to identify and verify coins and bars which is why most of what comes in has to be melted.
>>
>>61814491
>shops not taking 100oz bars because refiners dont want them.
also, aren't these 100oz bars .999? why the fuck would they need to be refined?
none of this makes any sense
>>
>>61814510
But in all this: can Americans handle 10+ years without being able to refine silver?
>>
>>61814504
let's be real. junk silver is second rate silver. It takes a little more effort to purify and will always be bought for slightly cheaper at best, and not at all at worst.
90% is still valuable, but .999 is as good as it gets.

I asked grok
>What would happen to the retail silver market if the US gives contracts to all the major silver refineries?

>Overall, while short-term pain for retail buyers is likely through higher costs and limited access, the long-term outcome could strengthen US supply chains, making silver more resilient. This scenario aligns with broader efforts to reduce reliance on imports (over 70% of US silver consumption), but it risks market distortions if not balanced with private sector flexibility. Investors should monitor policy updates, as actual effects would hinge on contract details and global responses.

The USA has zero silver ore smelters. Silver ore produced in the US is a concentrate of silver/zinc/lead and we have zero lead smelters and only a single zinc smelter (which cannot use the mixed concentrates). Mixed silver concentrates go to canada, which has a smelter, or... china. Most of it goes to china.

It still has to get re-melted. You can have a 1000oz bar from 1970 but to sit in a vault it needs a certain form factor. To be sold back to the public in 2026 silver 1oz coins it has to be melted.

My point is that I believe the US government is making priority arrangements with refiners to refine ore rather than old bullion and scrap.

That means that even the melt function of the refiners will be tied up with the ore refining project.

This in my opinion is what will kill the American retail bullion industry.

The us gov took maduro and is dreaming about droning Mexico to take resource control because they want ALL of the mine capacity from our hemisphere to keep it away from china.

The thing is shops don't make money by holding silver they make money by buying and selling so if you offer them something they can't sell at a profit within a reasonable timeframe its useless to them regardless of how valuable it may be.
>>
>>61814529
But it cant go to china because china export controlled it. China will take the silver in but they wont give it back. Export controls went in place Jan 1 and within a month US went full resource war mode. WHY?

Not really true. They sell for under spot and sell most to a refiner for 98% of spot and the spread is their profit.

They may give you 90% of spot for a 1000oz bar but they get 98 percent from the refiner and the refiner gives them back 2026 silver coins that they resell to consumers.

"refiners" and "smelters" are two completely different operations. "refiners" can only take dore bars which are basically a mixture of precious metals. To make pure silver bars you have to separate out the gold and PMGs.

Also I have to note the kennecott smelter at bingham canyon produces some pure silver and gold bars from the copper ore concentrate, but they aren't able to take silver/lead/zinc concentrates it's only for the bingham canyon ore.

>>61814544
On the contrary I believe the ore is still going to china just fine. There aren't many other smelters that will take it. If the USG export controls silver ores the mining operations will probably have to shut down since the handful of smelters in canada and europe are overcapacity as is.

The USA also hasn't implemented any resource war policy whatsoever at this point.

Refiners don't mint coins and they certainly aren't exchanging them for scrap no idea where you got this ridiculous notion. LCS sell to the refiners for fiat and buy from mints for fiat there is no direct exchange going on.
Lately several coin shops have been complaining that refiners are buying from them well back of spot which is one of the reasons that we've been seeing such a wide premium gap.
>>
>>61814565
what? that idiot says china lost against nobody except mongolians
>>
>>61814592
Scrap and old bullion> refiner> mint > new product> retail customer.

My point was that most of what is brought in by coin shops must be refined and turned into new product. If refining capacity is captured then coin shops go bust.

They still have dollar bags which they can use, if they do it too fast, they lose more instead of doing it slowly.
That's why they would rather have only a $10 premium for silver over the comex.
They don't want to flood the market with gold to accumulate dollars, but to accumulate silver, by reducing the GSR.
That's why the target of the recent tamps (since that big friday) wasn't actually the silver price in usd, but the GSR, to increase it back.
