Redditors are buying million dollar mansions and you're still renting

How do we get rich like them, bros? What's their secret?
>>
>>61821403
dual income
>>
I haven't worked a 9-5 since 2017 so no one will give me a loan, I don't want to be house rich cash poor.
>>
>>61821405
True, I would be unstoppable if I had a gf. Maybe I should just go gay for the sake of getting rich
>>
>>61821424
Yes bro. Your dual income of 50k will make you unstoppable.
>>
>>61821440
haha very funny anon, how much do you make?
>>
>>61821509
12k annual salary
>>
>>61821552
based
>>
>>61821403
You need to make >$500k a year to afford that mortgage payment.
>>
>>61821579
Grim. Imagine co-owning with a foid.
>>
>>61821403
They stopped buying netflix and avocado on toast.
>>
>>61821405
Yeah it's basically impossible to afford a house on a single salary unless you make significantly more than is average for your area.
>>
Why is it always with a pizza?
>>
>>61821741
Keys and za bro
>>
>>61821741

>>

>>
>>61821741

>>
>>61821762
1.5M and it doesn't have a kitchen?
>>
>>61821741
Pizza is ALWAYS the first meal when getting a new place. Its tradition by this point, even if your kitchen is set up at the end of the day.
>>
>>61821773
>>61821762
Ok but why is it always included in these photos?
>>
>>61821781
because reddit. if it were us cunts it'd be some photo with bare feet in it
>>
Every nerd freak on reddit makes 200k a year and they work 2 hours a week somehow.
>>
>>61821403
I own my home, why do you assume I'm renting?
>>
>>61821741
Because only pedophiles buy houses on jewish credit.
>>
>>61821579
i assume this is bait. im always amazed people who make twice my income (2.2k/mo) say they can't afford a mortgage payment. i spend 65pc of my income on fucking rent. id happily spend 80pc on equity to myself, but i literally, ACTUALLY cannot afford mortgage payments. im priced out.
>>
>>61821403
>million dollar mansion
So a three bedroom, two bath?
>>
>>61821810
even with 200k annual, they would be housepoor

Lol, Goodluck with that. Hope the retard realizes how much he's going to be paying in taxes, insurance and maintenance too.

Why spend 500k for a house when you can put it in an index fund? With a 12% average return, you can make 60k a year doing nothing.
>>
>>61821403
>Mansions
>$1 million
>In CA
I rent a nicer place than they own for $700 a month, obviously not in CA.
>>
>>61822550
Which state?
>>
>>61822523
this is something home owners will never understand. renting is almost ALWAYS better even in the scenarios when you can straight up buy the property without having to take out a retarded loan. you dont have to maintain the property, you are not forced into a single location and you are liquid since you can sell/buy stocks with a single click on your phone.
>>
>>61822573
imagine believing this. checks due the 15th. forever. I was hoping to break 1mm in rental income in 2025 with the increases but alas I will have to wait until 2026 taxes to have my first 7 figure year. all you have to do to be rich is buy rentals that cashflow, that's it.
>>
>>61822060
Ful of Antinutrients that is bad for digestion and absorbtion of nutrients. Sulforaphane and other toxic stuff are in there too. Also its a man made plant anyway, in nature it doesnt exist look up how it looked original. And the vitamins in it are barely absorbable anyway for humans since we are not build to digest green plants like herbivores.
>>
>>61821405
That’s still 8-10k+ per month at current rates and that’s with 20% down…lol.

yeah. the good old just be rich or take out a loan to buy property so you can take out more loans to buy even more property. I am sure you can do that an infinite amount of times and its always going to work out. lol
>>
>>61822573
Dude. You need to be TIED DOWN to the corporate entity that you moved there in the first place to work for.
DUH!
>>
>>61822626
All this is true. But it's an op in many ways.
Almost all the bad is taken out or destroyed when you boil or cook it for a long time.
Which, is, not coincidentally I doubt, when it tastes good.

The op is these salad trays with blatantly disgusting raw broccoli.
Vegetables are meant to be cooked.
>>
>>61822051
>>61822626
Also...butter isn't God tier. Post hands.
>>
>>61822664
I know you are being sarcastic, but people don't seem to realize working for companies is temporary thing. This is why renting make sense as well. Why buy property when you very well have to move for your next job.
>>
>>61822685
The op of "the American Dream" only started once it was a scam and more profitable for corporations and banks than the people in the home.
People are incredibly easy to control when you control what they hear all day.

I'm willing to bet they are also putting money into an index fund. DCA'ing into the SP500 is normie shit
>>
>>61822717
Nope, less money to invest since mortgages especially in the short run is more expensive. Not including higher cost in utilities, maintenance, etc.
>>
>>61822732
Bro, thats the same shit as renting but you are actually building equity
>>
>>61821741
Because when you're in a completely empty house without any plates or cutlery it's the most convenient thing to eat. It's pretty simple when you think about it for 10 seconds
>>
>>61822747
I don't have to pay for repairs and maintenance among other things. Landlord takes all the risks.

Being a landlord / property owner only pays off in the long run.
>>
>>61821961
>id happily spend 80pc on equity to myself
You don't, the mortgage is structured so the interest is frontloaded. Your starting payments are like 80% to interest 20% to equity for the first several years.
>>
>>61821403
I wouldn't be surprised if redditors got themselves into massive debt just to post for upvotes. If all those posts are even real.
Have access to an empty house, buy pizza, get upvotes.
Never underestimate a redditor's desire for those upvotes. They will get fake and wrong quote tattoos for it.

I had a Jewish professor in law school who would use reddit terminology in his slides, like "heckin floof" and all his slides were interwoven with dog and cat pictures. He would wear quarter zips unzipped with his bare chest exposed in the middle of winter. He would bring his dog to school during his office so the "students" (none of them ever male) could see them. This was a married man with children. He made us come meet in his office to discuss our midterms and he's got "critical race theory" proudly displayed on his front desk. It's crazy the lack of awareness these people have.

1. Eat a healthy diet and exercise daily. Poor health will ruin your finances in numerous permanent ways.
2. Do well in school and select a specialty that makes good money. If you're smart (i.e. you'll be in the top 5-10% of your class) then go to college. If you're brown, learn a trade.
3. Find a partner who isn't stupid, makes good money, and has little or no debt.
4. Don't have kids. Definitely don't have accidental kids as you'll be fucked for life.
5. Prioritize high income at a young age over the "follow your dreams" mentality, but avoid excessive mental/emotional stress. Job hop aggressively if you need to in order to achieve this.
6. Max your 401K/Roth contributions and invest your extra savings.

Do this and you'll be a millionaire before middle age, and you'll be able to exit the meat grinder before it claims your body, mind, and soul.

Just want you to know, that I a single guy at 34 own 2 houses (crypto + stock investments make this easy), one of which is a 4 bedroom house on a lake that I only go to for 2 months of the year for summer and am looking at buying my third house soon. There are rooms in my main house that I haven't been into in half a year, meanwhile you are probably stuck in some poorfag apartment the size of one of my multiple living rooms.
Maybe you should make something of your life instead of being jealous of others success.

I could buy that, but why the fuck would I? I live in a small village renting an apartment for 600$/mo. I have 1 mil in equities and earn 100k per year, my family uses 27k$ a year. 73k goes into equities instead of pretending to be rich, I have a stay at home wife. Unfortunately it's not just America. The disease spread to Australia and New Zealand, and I'm sure it will be in Europe before long.

And it's not just land, as >>61827273 says. Construction is becoming ridiculously expensive for some reason, so already built cardboard boxes appreciate because building a new cardboard box will cost you hundreds of thousands. And the quality is even lower than cardboard boxes of yore, believe it or not.

Our mortgages are usually 20 years or longer. We used to have shorter mortgages terms in the US as well but people kept getting fucked by rate hikes and needing to cough up so much cash. The government wanted more people buying homes so they introduced longer mortgages with lower fixed rates.

>>
>>61822811
No, its structured such that interest is accumulated every month so there is more interest on a higher balance, its not "frontloaded" because if you pay more than the minimum you avoid significant interest in the future, if it were "frontloaded" you wouldn't be avoiding it by paying early, you would just be paying the frontloaded interest, but it isn't frontloaded it is a monthly compound.
>>
>>61822839
>massive debt
Unless housing prices collapse, its not debt, its an equity exchange with the bank due to how tightly mortgage rates are regulated by the government and if there were a massive crash due to construction tech renaissance or regulatory changes, the government would likely provide relief by paying off the bank to forgive part of the debts of houses whose value collapsed.
>>
I can't stop laughing. We, anons, are losing for redditors in income, financial and money. How can we resolve this?
>>
>>61831285
I see, makes sense. You can get lifetime mortgages here, but I don't know anyone with one. Most people do fixed for a certain term and then it reverts to standard variable, which is always shit so you remortgage and give the (((broker))) another fee.

The big one that fucked people here was endowment mortgages. You get an interest-only mortgage so you're paying next to nothing a month, and at the same time you buy an endowment insurance policy which is supposed to grow and pay you a lump sum at maturity which will cover the mortgage and then some. But of course the growth rates were hugely optimistic, no-one checked before the term ended that it really would cover their mortgage and so you had a lot of people needing to somehow cover a shortfall.

>>61831316
Because I do not know how US mortgages work, and wish to know more.

You’re not earning 12 percent risk free, and you’re not pulling 60k a year without touching principal. That’s theory, not lived returns.

Owning turns leverage into forced equity and inflation protection. Renting turns income into a permanent expense and calls it flexibility.

Liquidity only helps if you never misallocate it. Most people do.

You either use controlled leverage on a real asset and become the BVLL, or you wait forever in cash and stay the CVCK.

It really does THO. My bills half and my QoL doubles when I have a live-in gf.

Most FIRE recommendations are to withdraw 4% a year to account for market fluctuations and inflation, so you’re more like $20k a year. $1m is probably the new minimum you need in index funds if you want to either be a weirdo with roommates the rest of your life or supplement with some low effort part time job making maybe $20k a year.

I’m personally aiming for $2m then supplement with part time music lessons and home repair. Hopefully will get there in 10 more years unless crypto is good to me

Real estate sucks, your just paying rent to the bank and you have non stop maintenance. Plus it's illiquid as shit.
I treat my landlord like the wagie he is and give him call whenever smthing needs fixing

Why do you care if a random person somewhere on the planet doesn't want to have kids? Go have plenty of kids if you think that's important for you. Oh wait, you won't because you are a loser on 4ch. But telling other people to have children sure makes you feel smug and principled while sitting in that cumstained armchair...

Yes that is based IF you bought it to live in. Buying houses to flip is unbased.

why would you invest in an unsellable "asset" in a crumbling nation? Not to mention all of the annoying upkeep and maintenance. This is retarded behavior and will leave you as a bag-holder in the end.
>develop high leverage skills that can be done from a pc anywhere in the world and monetize them
>become wealthy
>get your passport (several even)
>never own property, only rent
>keep yourself armed (handguns and switchblades)
>develop a minimalist mindset (you should be able to pack everything of value you own in a few bags in under an hour)
>pay close attention to the political climate in your nation/area
>hop on a plane and leave the moment things project badly
do NOT anchor yourself anywhere or you will become a slave to that anchor

Thats not a mansion in CA its probably like a 1500 sq ft 3 bed 1 bath. Overpaying 5x what it should actually cost and getting raped on taxes and utilities.

Do you really think Gen Z will be able to buy a house?
Of course not, houses will never 2x from here, as multiple generations can't afford it, and the generation that can afford it is about to retire and spend all their money on wine and cheese and their retirement village. which is a great indicator that house prices are going to dump soon.

I think the mother of all housing crashes is on the horizon. The market is far more illiquid than stocks, it'll take a while but housing is also due for a correction that'll last a good 10 years. Rugging millennials and Gen X into buying houses with all the money they will make in 50 years across a mortgage has ALWAYS been the point.

>Me and my gf (27yo) make $2300 a month each
wait, you are individually making like what $35k??

Do you both work at a fucking Walmart or something?
>>
are there really people here who dont own multiple million dollar houses? why aren't you at work? there is no secret, own stuff, don't pay inflated subscription rates forever its that easy. A house is a one time cost. rent goes up forever. Would you really rent a new phone 150 a month instead of just pay 1500? I guess a lot of idiots do just that, apple stock dividends sure look good on the taxes.

>/biz/ in 2015 on me buying up properties for dirt cheap
>you're an idiot it'll all crash renting is so much better than owning. owning is historically more expensive. it's never been this expensive to own. it'll crash for sure!!

now my 800 dollar mortgages at 2.5% rent to 3 people at 1300 each. learn from history or repeat it, the choice is yours. people need essentials, it is a 100% guaranteed bet. if society fails to the point its not hope you've got food and guns because you'll need it.

>now my 800 dollar mortgages at 2.5% rent to 3 people at 1300 each.
it’s currently cheaper to rent than buy in many places because of the higher interest rates. the only advice to be gleaned from your situation is
>hope for another decade of zirp
