It’s finally over
>>61826139Takes time to be profitable. Its just been a year or 2.
>>61826153Full year capex spending is more than what it took to build the entire interstate highway system. It’s not a matter of “tehe earnings up 11% beat”, if the revenue of these companies doesn’t go into the trillions it’s a huge failure Do you know what 700 billion dollars can buy you?
All the tech giants have like $100b+ cash moat just sitting on the balance sheet waiting to be deployed, I doubt you read financial statements though
>>61826161Also, they all provide their service for free and cannot stop until their competitors do too
>>61826178Yea lil bro, you know more than the market because you read the financial statements
>>61826153they will be profitable same instant they reduce capital expenditurethen they will start accumulating useless cash, and the only good way to spend it would be paying dividends (lol), doing stock buybacks or increasing capital expenditure
>>61826161Ai is a new industry though. The ground work is being layed out. The highway, as you say.
>>61826187>>61826161From another thread:> The reality is the US is almost $40 trillion in debt, with another unfunded $65 trillion for projected entitlement programs for everyone currently alive.>And before some midwit comtard says some gay shit about taxes, if you could somehow liquidate and steal all of the billionaire wealth it doesn't make a fucking difference when we're talking about $105 trillion dollars.>Massive US GDP growth is the only way out for our Republic.I think ai is supposed to boost gdp
>>61826400There is no winning> AI gambles doesn't pay offUS economy collapses, banks and billionaires are bailed out once again> AI gambles pays off75% of Americans lose their job, but billionaires can live in luxury
>>61826433Can you reply to this guy? His attitude makes it seem like Usa will be #1 forever>>61826396
>>61826400or just a big margin call? shit would sort itself out after a few years
>>61826433I told him the countries in the world can just trade with each other which they already do and posted a picture. Then he called me a shill.
>>61826433>>61826438> for usa to be in decline there would have to be an alternative to american hegemony and there really isnt any country that can pull it off or even close to pulling it offTrue?
I think it's crazy insane that a world that produces huge surpluses of food and tech and which is capable of producing huge surpluses of housing still manages to be completely dysfunctional
>>61826446Why should housing and food be free?
>>61826462so niggers and chinks can reproduce like cockroaches
>>61826471Thought Chinese people stopped reproducing too.
>>61826441The Roman empire didn't decline because an alternative big empire appeared...
>>61826462food is already effectively free. why should houses have artificially inflated prices?
>>61826139This is why silver is going to moon. AI isn't profitable (and it can't be, there is too much competition, it is simply too easy to make an AI) but it is hella expensive to build out. AI stocks are a gamble but AI CAPEX expenditure induced demand is going to be real.
They'll be profitable if they fire everyone
>>61826483No, AI companies have to actually pay for their AI. Servers, electricity, water, land for data centers. It all adds up and they have to pay for it. Users of AI can fire everyone because AI is currently free to use because AI companies are trying to build market share. The AI companies themselves know exactly how much AI costs them so they can accurately judge if they are actually saving money by firing everyone. Chances are they won't be because it isn't free, there are still running expenses.
>>61826477It is from here>>61826200He said it.
>>61826477Just needs mass immigration from shitty countries. Hart-Celler act should donit.
>>61826433>75% of Americans lose their job10% lost their jobs in less than a month back in 2020 and the government just gave them extra welfare. It will be no different in the future. Just expect more persistent inflation for decades to come if it comes down to that though.
>>61826139FAAGOMAN stocks finally revealed to be worthless. Oracle, Amazon, Microsoft and Meta bankrupt and stock to 0 by end of year. Screenshot this.
>>61826479To preserve homeowners’a wealth
>>61826515I wonder if Romans who saw it coming feel like we do...
>>61826161>what 700 billion dollars can buy you?Nothing at all without distorting the entire economy and causing inflation. The big jew companies have been given so much money they can't spend it almost anywhere without causing huge inflation so they're gold sinking it into data center infrastructure but even there they are butthurt about unionized electricians making bank off this work.
>>61826522The country is already in a debt trap anon, it cannot give infinite welfare...
>>61826529Before rome, greece and atlantis and lumaria and others fell already
>>61826534Rome's fall is the closest to what we're livingThough I pray for a bronze age collapse
>>61826139why they gotta be so retarded about this? They all had killer earnings and if they had just revised their planned cap x spending for the year down 10-20% Wallstreet wouldn't have had any problems with it. Amazon is the biggest offender in this. They have such an amazing core business and cashflow, would it really have hurt them that much if they spent "only" 100-150 billion in cap x instead of $200 billion? That said I do think it will eventually pay off for them, but it's way too aggressive and risky for no reason.
>>61826523FACEBOOKAMAZONGOOGLEORACLETENCENTMETAALIBABANETFLIXFAGOTMAN is done.
>>61826161>Do you know what 700 billion dollars can buy you?85% of Elon Musk? Ridiculous when you think about it
>>61826185>stock price is a reflection of finances Oh boy the hard hitters are out today.
>>61826139>memethe goal is to have control over an ASI.Full best models won't be available to the public. They will be very censored. At best, you can use them for your business, but the owners will demand a 10% ownership in whatever it is you're doing. You will still have to pay for inference. If it's something they have a market in, you won't be allowed to.Open source models will get much better but won't be able to compete with models trained and running on hundreds of billions worth of chips. The new economic classes:upper class - owners of their own ASI. 0.00001% + people that have enough power to still gain unfiltered access. Hundreds.middle class - people with enough capital/influence to gain ASI access. 0.1%. That's less than 1M people.permanent underclass - everyone elseEveryone else will be permanently cutoff. Wealthy countries will introduce UBI, which will actually increase living standards on average. Countries like India are going to be fucked.Countries like North Korea or Iran are going to be destroyed in their current form. If war is just a matter of relatively small capital expense - no soldiers involved - and the technological difference is insurmountable - invasion becomes trivial.>inb4 rebellionone of big unspoken reasons behind humanoid robots - which are very impractical for factory work - is that they are the best form for policing and military. There's not going to be a rebellion by the ubi class, ever. The only possible rebellion is by the tiny middle class if some part of it somehow manages to gain power while cooperating with a faction in the existing upper class. The mass populist movements will be a thing of the past, forever. This is a return to the historical norm.I have no hope of getting to the upper class - it's for people like Elon, but I hope to scrape by to the middle class. 8 fig nw + being in ai/robotics gives me a low but non-zero chance.
>>61826634Well thank God
