My cousin finally got his W2 and was telling me about how excited he is to be getting a refund and how he wants to go buy a TV or something. Dude, the government is already robbing you. But now you're celebrating the fact that you loaned money to the government interest free for a whole year and they're benevolent enough to give your pittance back to you. That money could have been invested or you could have taken a vacation or something. But people are too retarded to set their withholding right and "tax refund season!!" is somehow a thing. I'm getting $40 back and I still feel scammed. Fuck the government for not making this something automatic like literally almost any other country.
