So does anyone have any idea what happened to our shitty little 401k gloater?

Did they fire him for being a lolcow? Did he decide to take one last walk by the train tracks? Did the toilet witch finally get him? Is it his day off where he washes the rag he uses to wipe his ass? Did he succumb to an intestinal parasite caused by drinking ganges water?

I'm missing the commas instead of spaces between words. How long have we lived with that pestilence and now it's gone. It's like going to the country and noticing the absence of background noise.

Considering that everywhere else in Australia, including the fucking Perth mint itself, are out of stock or selling at crazy premiums, it doesn't seem totally out of the question? It's possible they just haven't updated the particular stock numbers because they're super busy or something.

Speaking of which, why the fuck are the premiums so high for all bullion in Australia now? Literally like 50 bucks over spot everywhere I look.

Because that's the price for real silver. Paper imaginary silver sells for spot.

my thesis for why gold will continue to rise in the long term, is for the simple reason that the US hegemony is kill and with it the dollar and US stock market as a sink for global wealth, without talking about the US debt spiral, which has no escape beside either trying to hyper inflate away from or default on, both would be disasters for the dollar, and even if the fed goes full paul Volcker (extremely unlikely to happen) it wont do shit to save the dollar especially in the long run, since it would cause a economical and gdp crash , which would force US to budget cuts (including the more and more smaller and overstreshed military), it would also destroy any industrial production growth, which would make China btfoing the US out the pacific (the world industrial heart land) come even quicker and easier, which would end the US hegemony and kill the dollar and even collapse the US economy (by 2040 it will be miracle for the US not to collapse and balkanized), and those all the world wealth would need to go into new stuff and one of the main things it would go to is gold
>>
>>61827587
also there will pull backs like this one since it is the nature of anything that goes up to attract speculators and increase the volatility, but it is a healthy thing to happen

Pretty good summary. I would add that the demise of the dollar (and the SWIFT system with it) will leave the world without a standard trade currency or system. And not only will the dollar die, but international trust in fiat money that depends on the ethics of politicians and bankers will die. People will want money backed by hard assets. Gold is the most likely candidate. A remonetization of gold will cause the value of gold to increase significantly.

Some say wallstreet uses decoy investors to measure the emotions of each specific asset so they can manipulate the market. It's measured in percentages so ot works for a broad range of investors.

Well well. Gold is back above 5k an ounce while silver is still miserable orbiting around 80$ kek. Seriously, what happened d'ya lose ya balls? My own bet is that most gold stackers bought physical gold while faaaar too many silver stackers just traded it online and hence both the pump and the evaporation being far more sudden and fatal.

The ones who do are going to go out of business. For me, it's interesting to see how most LCS really don't understand the shortage or the degree of futures manipulation. If they knew they would price accordingly.
>>
>>61828132
They don’t understand the shortage because boomers are dumping physical. From their perspective silver is abundant because people keep coming in every day to sell silver.
>>
>>61828127
the only things that matter is physical silver volume and not being tied to fiat
>>
One thing I like about silver is that the people promoting physical stacking don't stand to gain anything. Crypto/stocks shills all stand to gain exit liquidity. Stacking fudders want to direct investment to other markets, that's the only reason they are in here. Yesterday there were zero shills, it was peaceful, some large purchases were made, no fud. Monday 9-5 rolls around and suddenly 1/4 of the posters shit talking metals. Weird huh.
>>
>>61828087
>stackers don’t move the price of either of these multi-trillion dollar markets.
Stackers are a subclass of the investment silver market, and we're tiny (aside from Bateman) because they've been successful at manipulating the prices to make silver uninteresting.

Institutional investors don't want physical because that incurs storage costs, so they bought SLV. The problem with SLV is that THEY USE THEIR SILVER TO SHORT THE SILVER MARKET.
https://youtu.be/hkOx-QuYeAo

Buying SLV takes zero ounces out of the market. Only stackers and industrial users move the needle, and they scared most private stacker investors away using low prices and high volatility.

Because of GST on "non-pure" gold and silver. Coins turned in to the LCS go to the refiner unless the LCS recognizes a significan numismatic value. Krugerrands and Sovereigns by the pound go to the gold refiner in Canada unfortunately.

thanks for pointing that out.
related, when suggest people to ignore the GSR trade, they have nothing to gain either.
I think the idea of trading the GSR caught on because it historically made sense in hindsight and because stackers want to feel like they are doing something.
Holding can feel passive. Trading silver for gold can be a bit or a release during ATH prices where normally someone would want to sell, but don't want to exit their position.
That said, I will never trade my shiny silver for yellow gold. It doesn't make sense. It's yellow! Like pee!

yes we do. Paper is being manipulated by bankers. Do you really think elon musk gives a fuck about buying silver when it costs 200oz. He'll be buying that shit when its 4k/oz

This isnt the pre-tech era, we are now a Type 2 Kardashev civilization. Stackers will be fuckin kings. The US dollar doesnt even have to crash anymore for stackers to be kings either. And we absolutely move silvers value. In fact we will be what determines it in just a few shorts years.

Yes but if everyone else around you is paid or has assets denominated in FIAT or Credit. Relatively you could stand still while others purchasing power craters around you. Its all relative. Gold is just the horizon. Some will track the ups and downs of the boat and think the horizon is gaining or losing. Others will go under the water and it wont matter.

Main game. Stay metal liquid and stay afloat.
>>

The LCS owner is young, understands debasement, and hates the government and fed. I thought it was a neat idea.

>$400~500/oz silver doesn’t seem impossible to me in March.
And it will never come back down. At $300+ per oz, most current small stackers are effectively priced out. Save for a whole month and buy one ounce. 12oz/year.

Lol. What will the miners price ratio be between now to $300 be? That's a hint for some of us poor stackers who can't afford to back up the truck like we used to.

Use the gains to buy physical silver. It's the poor man's way to leverage into more physical silver if you can't afford to buy two monster boxes of Krugs.
>>
>>61828238

>>
>>61828214
From a mathematical standpoint, it could make sense. As long as you stand to gain more than 10% in the trade to cover premiums etc, more if you have a taxable event. Unfortunately I bought most of my PMs at ~60 GSR so there would need to be a big change to 80+ or 40- for it to make any sort of sense for me personally. Even then I'm not sure
>>
>>61828239
No we don’t. Global Investors consume about 200 million ounces of silver per year in all markets and SLV alone consumed 95 million in 2025.

Individual stackers probably make up less than 10% of that 200 million. The vast majority of silver consumption is from bullion banks.
>>
>>61828270
Clarification: the vast majority of investor consumption is from bullion banks. Only about 20% of the annual mined supply goes to investment of all types.
>>
>>61828226
>They won’t be able to because there isn’t enough silver above ground to do that.
In theory, if the price is high enough, there's unlimited silver. The issue right now isn't a shortage of silver per se, it's that the price suppression of COMEX/LBMA has caused supply chains to break and reduced mine output, and essentially stopped any exploration.

Because (((they))) have essentially starved the silver market to support their fiat ponzi scheme, it will take years for the situation to re-equilibrate and rebalance the supply/demand curves. During this time period, the GSR will shrink to a much lower than normal number while the price of silver rises above what the natural supply demand curve will be once the new mines eventually come online in 10+ years.

This is a hint that stackers should have an exit strategy for BEFORE significant silver mine output comes online.

We are entering a worldwide recession right now, just as silver begins to shine.

>if the price is high enough, there's unlimited silver

All of the mined silver in private possession only adds up to about 1.5 billion ounces (not account for lost/destroyed silver), and tons of people are selling it back to dealers who then send it off to refineries to get melted down and then shipped off to China. The private investor free float of silver is going down. Very few people are buying new silver at these prices.

I think it’s safe to easily sit on your stack for another 10-15+ years before mining output increases and by then the price will probably already be well into the quadruple digits. I probably won’t even sell much of my silver at that point, it’ll be more useful and less complicated (from a taxjew perspective) to just create a trust and use my holdings as a personal line of credit until I die.

Tesla is an example of a mediocre company that with enough hype and and government subsidies, can defeat the laws of economics.

Many traders have lost their shirts shorting Tesla, which was literally saved by dumb boomer "true believers". One investment adviser was shocked at the number of boomers for whom Tesla was their ONLY stock in their portfolio.

Grant Williams was openly disgusted by how a company like Tesla with such shitty fundamentals became more valuable than every other car company on earth combined.

And again, just for some perspective 1.5 billion ounces of silver is roughly what the world burns through in a little over a year. And we maybe recover 10% of that through recycling. We effectively burn/destory 80% of all of the silver we mine every year.

>I think it’s safe to easily sit on your stack for another 10-15+ years before mining output increases and by then the price will probably already be well into the quadruple digits.
Correct. At SOME point in the future, given high enough real prices, we can significantly increase the tonnage of new silver production.

Silver is not a 40 year play is what I am saying. If the price is high enough, new mine projects will be expedited, so 15 years might be the outside limit by for new major production streams to come online. 10 years is a more conservative number.

In this context, we should point out that America's borders may not be the same as they currently are, 15 years from now. There could be civil war by 2029 if the Dems win everything and stack the Supreme court.

oh and one additional thought, people frequently bring up the fact that if silver gets too expensive for industrial purposes then people will just substitute it with copper, but that takes time to retool/re-engineer everything and even then copper isn't really suitable or economically viable to replace silver.

You could theoretically replace the silver in solar panels with copper, but copper oxidizes extremely easily, so copper solar panels probably won't last 20 years, which means that they probably won't pay themselves off. You can't really replace silver in medicine, you can't replace it much in electric vehicles/batteries, and you can replace it in some electronics but nothing that requires high performance, especially in computing/networking.

When they talk about recycling, they used to mean recovering silver primarily from old X-rays. Today it means boomers cashing in their coins, sterling and bars to be re-refined and melted into 1000 oz bars.

There is very little silver actually recycled once it's been used in industry. Most of it is landfilled and is essentially gone. Just like the tons of silver used in the military batteries that power the tomahawks and torpedoes.

>Does anyone else kinda feel cheated out on the gains we made when normies who got in super late somehow managed to make absurd levels with levaraged paper trades?
No. Not at all. Many normies who did not get in and out at exactly the right times were clobbered by the paper silver markets.

We got into silver over 10 years too early and don't have to worry about timing the exit to the minute, nervous like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, because we don't want fiat.

It's really comfy to not care at all as one's theoretical net worth varies by several thousand per day because we're not interested in selling our silver for fiat. As long as we have enough garbage money to cover our meager living expenses, the silver stays in the safe.

We don't care about fiat. We don't think in terms of fiat because it's a moving target. A million dollars today is like $100k or less in 1971. Ten years from now there will be many more millionaires, but they will be only middle class.

Physical silver ownership has really changed how we view the world.

You know what's so fucking sad, /pmg/?
By no means do I want to convey I am "a good man" or that I want you to think I am some saint, but you know, it's pretty fucking sad that I as a nobody man purchase gold and silver not out of some "oh I will be rich and I'm a pirate wow look at my stack!" I do it because I literally want to give my kids it so that they have some sort of safe "cushion" when I die. I do not look at these things as mine, but I want to work and leave some sort of cool shit for my kin. If boomers could not fucking around and the elderly could practice this, JUST AS THEY DID IN THE OLD DAYS, the world would be a better place. If I, a man who has not the greatest career, can do this, think of what the wealthy boomers can do? Think what it would all be like if they weren't greedy, and invested in the well being of their kids and grand kids. The casinos would be dry, the yachts would rot, and families would just invest in themselves. Would that not be paradise?
Boomers are fools. Most of them. Greedy, self worshipping. They forget they are mortal, and only in death do they realize their money burnt is just leaving their grandkids to fend for themselves, they do not care.

stfu tard. even copper is usually considered too expensive in most cases except high density, high end applications. for heat pipes and vacuum chambers, copper, but the cooling fins are usually aluminium.

also, thermal conductivity is not that important in active cooling and also it's cheaper to just make the material less heat sensitive.

It's NOT worth it for silver at current prices.. I've got a nifty video from india recycling gold from old cell phones.
https://files.catbox.moe/zrcfzs.mp4

Here's a description of the video:
1. A couple thousand phones are disassembled to extract the circuit boards. This is done by hand.
2. The circuit boards are burned at low temperature to remove most of the plastics.
3. The burned boards are put into a large several gallon ceramic crucible with borax and heated at high temperature to melt all the metal components.
4. After cooling, the metal slug from the crucible is treated with concentrated nitric acid.
5. After neutralizing, the acid is vacuum filtered and the residue captured on a filter paper.
5. The filter paper is ashed with a torch, and then put in another crucible with more borax and heated to fuse the gold particles into a blob.

Total yield was 34+ grams of almost pure gold. The palladium and silver will be dissolved by the nitric acid.

A better way of doing it would involve grinding and ball milling the ciruit boards to a very fine powder and doing a cyanide extraction which would recover all the gold, silver and palladium from the electronics.
