It killed my faith in humanity and I don't see a soft extinction event as much more than 'trimming the fat' of our species anymore. Calamity is on the horizon, as it was in the distant past, and odds are our bloodlines don't have a chance of surviving it, even with methodical planning to do so. Right now I'm just waiting to see what flavor of armageddon is laid out for us
