The music stopped and money is leaving crypto at an alarming rate. Sell while you (still) can.

>>61833671Tether never had the amount of USD they claimed to have and nobody could convert the tokens to USD. They've literally been printing money for ~10 years and for some reason USA have let them get away with it.

if you haven't sold it's already too late for you and you are officially well behind the curve
>>61833789Correct. it was an actual company with real world applications unlike btc which is a glowopstein
>>61833788i hope you're not one of the people that actually thinks Tether have $184,508,268,350 USD
>>61833671I only keep 4% of my assets in crypto as a gamble so I don't really care. If it goes down to 0 then so be it.
>>61833779Yup, and whenever this get pointed out on /biz/ they will call it Tether FUD. Most trading pairs on CEXes are crypto to USDT. Actual currencies are a tiny percentage of pairs, in the low single digits. All this time retards have been talking about trillions and billions but it's really just billions of tether lol. And the catch is: when you try to redeem it for USD, Tether will come up with even stricter KYC/AML verification than exchanges themselves. The only people who are off ramping large sums are whales and insiders from the exchanges themselves who are all fleecing crypto retards out of money. The largest fiat trading pair on Binance is BTC/JPY at #11 with a shocking 1.79% of all trade volume. Everything else is USDT and USDC lmao. Crypto is such a massive scam, I'm sure in a few years when the dust settles we'll be seeing some class action lawsuits and find out all the KYC/AML bullshit was never about compliance but to stop people from off ramping because every issuer of stablecoins was never solvent.
what was their stated reason or justification for doing this?
>>61833798I doubt anyone from pre-2021 is retarded enough to still be in crapto
>>61833671USDT.D tripple topped. That's actually bullish.
>>61833977USDT has a redemption process
>>618339598 years ago Tether wrote quite clearly in their ToS that any US person were not allowed to hold Tether tokens, and they were very clear that they could deny exchanging tokens for any reason. Yet no exchange prevented "US persons" from holding Tether tokens because they all liked the scam.Tether even had some fake audits (at least 1 while I was paying attention to crypto scene) to ""prove"" that they totally had as many USD that they claimed to have.I'm sure Tether permits the occasional exchange of USDT to USD nowadays since after scamming for roughly 10 years they've finally built up some real USD, but it is still very obvious that they don't want people to actually exchange the tokens nor would they allow it.

>>61833822Better companies came along and took market share. Nothing compares to the coin.
>>61833959So how do I get free USDT
>>61834378It glows
>>61833959>do you even use Tether in Defi, what you say doesn't add up
>>61834399You don't. You give your money to the exchange to buy some shitcoin. Shitcoin goes up and you think you made it but you don't want to sell it for money because it takes ages for the transaction to complete or in some cases the exchange has no shitcoin to fiat pairing so you sell your shitcoin for USDT. You then try to "redeem" your worthless USDT tokens but you can't because... you just can't okay! This is the part where you make a new thread angry and confused as to why your funds are now frozen in some Seychelles-based exchange and you ask /biz/ if they know how to contact customer support (there is no customer support because shithole countries don't have any form of consumer protection kek) and how you're going to "lawyer up" until you reach the final stage of acceptance in grief and realize your money is gone forever.
