First time /biz/igger here. Just got a $100k windfall, never invested or anything really and never had that much money to play with before.

What's the best thing I can do in the current market to make it grow?
>>
pick 5 products/services you like and buy their parent company

Long term? Invest in the world market, it almost always outperforms day traders. Short term? Just pick something you think will make it big in the near future but isn't talked about much currently. Don't listen too much to headlines.

Park it in a high interest savings account and wait for BTC to bottom out in Q4. Then buy one or two BTC depending on your risk tolerance and wait. Put the rest into an ETF, VT specifically. In less uncertain times it'd be VTI. VT is more diversified. Sell the top and put some profits into the ETF. Rinse and repeat.

Or go get real financial advice.

DO NOT ASK BIZ FOR ADVICE

If you aren’t trying to gamble it, buy a market index fund like VT and forget about it for 10 years

Do not ask /biz/ for advice. Buy a few ounces of gold and put the rest into an S&P 500 index fund
