Have you ever been fired from your job? What was it like?
>>
>>61914288
Never been fired. I got laid off once in the aftermath of the 2008 depression. A coworker hooked me up with a summer job and I was rehired by the same employer that fall.
>>
>>61914288
I’ve wanted to be fired from every job I had when given enough time. Never actually fired. Just quit without a plan
>>
Once during training, but I found something much, much better
>>
>>61914316
>Once during training
That is extremely shitty.
>>
>>61914288
I bawled my eyes out as the creditors came and seized my house and children. I too was not spared and was sold into slavery. Never get fired bros, always do what the boss tells you to do.
>>
They would punish me for doing my job then fired me because I wasn't doing my job. They also tormented me daily. They would lie and set traps. It was horrible.

I accidentally sent my boss a text that said "I hate niggers" which I meant to text to a racist girl I was talking to (just trying to be funny) and I was so mortified I couldn't even show up to work to quit I just stopped going and blocked his number.
>>
>>61914288
i've been fired multiple times. It was ok, I guess.
>>
>>61914288
Once a subcontractor on a Lockheed prime contract offered me a job so I put in my 2 weeks and when I showed up to start the job (with a tie on) the Lockheed managers sent me home within an hour and I was fired. I found the home address of the rich old boomer who fired me and I was going to home invade him with a fully automatic shotgun wearing Kevlar and wipe out his family but instead I went to Cancun for a couple weeks. When I got back a different prime on the same contract hired me for real but at less money - and thus my cyber security career began.
I still don't like rich boomers.
>>
>>61914741
"come back anon, i hate niggers too" his boss texted the next day but to no response
>>
I got laid off. Years of being told "we're a family", going to events, dinners, all kinds of stuff. One day I get an email and text "hey anon can you come to the office and bring in your laptop thanks". Just "yeah, you're of no use anymore, good luck" and that was that.
>>
>>61914786
I worked on two lockheed primes, they pay niggers 120k a year to answer emails lmfao. they also commited massive time fraud and would go to lunch for 2 hours. they never got in trouble
>>
>>61914929
Yes. All the defense contractors employ niggers like this. Many niggers in D.C. "work" 2 full time jobs at the same time, one during the day where they do nothing and are awake, and a 2nd at night where they literally just sleep. I saw it with my own eyes swear to God.
>>
>>61914288
No, I've never been fired. I've been at the same place for 14 years. We're starting to slow down a lot though because of economic issues.

If I do get laid-off, there's always plenty of other jobs around. I could work at Walmart and still save for retirement.
>>
>>61914288
technically fired but i ghosted that nigga so that's a half firing at best
>>
>>61914288
in america it’s not a big deal apparently, but in europe it’s a tough experience. i hope i will never experience it.
>>
>>61914288
yeah
i cried for like 5 minutes because i had just started renting a much nicer and expensive house and was looking forward to getting furniture and making it nice enough to invite women over.
instead i have to move my mom in with me again with all her shit.
it was awful. i think thats when i gave up on trying to improve my life.
>>
I got fired and replaced by a spicette who cant speak English. I'm an accountant btw. Company crashed and burned in about a month and vendors are still desperately reaching out to me almost a year later despite telling them I have no affiliation with the company.
The spicette cried every single day and her retarded boomer boss blames me for everything.
Lol.
Lmao.
>>
Got fired because a coworker sabotaged me deleting my code while I took a week off, so a relative could be hired in place. A few months later the company got hacked and lost all its value.
>>
fired for insubordination from a bank. got signing bonus to join bank from recruiter that paid out in 6 month increments. when the last bonus payment hit after the beginning of the month I called my manager soft. didn’t get fired. continued to antagonize manager in front of HR and finally the fired me but paid out all my vacation out and they still gave me their own bonus.

4 months later got an offer from another company and they asked why I had been unemployed for 3 months. I lied and said I put in my two weeks notice at my last job and the next day they nicely asked me to leave, but paid me the above.

in the corporate world it pays to lie and lie some more. I don’t say any of the above to brag, getting hired in 2025 was a lot harder, but to other anons, always be moving and always be lying.
>>
>>61915489
Yep, saw it first hand as well. They would sleep at their desk and no one would do anything.
>>
>>61914741
Dare I say based
>>
>>61914288
I got pulled into an office with two HR ladies who fired me and basically told me I could sign up for unemployment. I went back to my desk snagged my stuff and left. It was for the best as I didn't even really like being there but when you are employed with bills to pay you just show up. It wasn't even all that bad because I got to enjoy the summer off looking for a new job. I had some money so I was able to just drink beer and kayak during the weekday lol.

>>
>>61914288
I quit but he told everyone he fired me due to him being a massive ego maniac due to him constantly smoking crack. I refuse to work with asshole crackheads.
>>
I worked in my dad’s capacitor factory when I was fifteen. I manually vented cans for eight hours a day + my thirty minute lunch break. You weren’t allowed to listen to music or anything because you had to hear overhead announcements in case of emergency, so I did the same mechanical motion for roughly hours + occasional small talk with the convicts and methheads who also worked there. One day I slept in past my alarm, and I didn’t call anyone to tell them. When I got to work, he yanked me into his office and fired me on the spot.

Honestly, it was actually great. My summer was infinitely better afterwards. That said, my dad is truly the ultimate boomer, and he did teach me that under no conditions do I ever want to work in a factory ever again.
>>
I've been fired from 4 jobs and laid off from 1. It's taught me to stay on my feet and never overcommit my plans around something as unstable as a wage.
>>
>>61914288
i got fired for subway for being a spaz and also i accidentally bled into the bread one time (finger got cut by touching the inside of a cold metal freezer and i didn't notice until later)
>>
I'm worried I'm going to get fired. I no-showed to an important meeting I was helping to run and had materials for this morning. Kind of freaking out right now because it's a weekend so I won't even know how much trouble I'm in until Monday. I'm thinking of just messaging my boss and asking but I feel like that will backfire.
>>
usually i just got an email or a text telling me not to come back because i fucked up royally and honesly yeah half the time it was me being an absolute asshat
the only time i got sat down and talked to the boss telling me it was not working out and that was it
honestly its not a big deal
in retrospective all those jobs sucked ass and im glad and grateful for each fire for they all led me to the ultra comfy cushy chilled job i got now

I came in Friday and they walked me to a meeting room and let me go for some bullshit or another. It wasnt surprising, I hated that job and was taking long lunches and leaving early every day. Got another job in a few weeks that paid 15K more.
>>

One time my paycheck was short about $600. I took it up with the manager asking to see some proof it was being corrected and that "don't worry we'll handle it" wasn't good enough. I got fired on the spot and he walked me to the door. It was a very humiliating experience, but I filed a retaliation claim and they settled for $7000 a couple years after that.

American problems. Yea. I've been in Europe so long with these socialists I have almost forgotten America's slave culture where nobody gives a fuck if your car broke down and you have 2 sick kids and women are expected to give birth at their desk and be back working a few weeks later with their cunt still bleeding and their infant newborn handed over to a black or mexican woman.
I have 45 days PTO per year plus unlimited sick leave and can take sick leave for my kids being sick too. That's right, if my kid is sick I get paid to take care of them. And obviously my wife got paid by the government for 18 months maternity leave every time we had a kid, which obviously cost us $0 in medical expenses.

The end is nearing for the European socialism experiment. Major economies like France are unable to sustainably pay their pensions, and there are literal riots in the streets when the pension age is raised even slightly. Euros are now taking on greater debt to build out their military. Euros, however, do not have the benefit of being the reserve currency, and the debt is more difficult to manage as a result. These social programs will absolutely take a hit and worker protections will get rolled back. It’s already happening.

A sad truth is that, because Americans have never had a social net or substantial social services, we can’t miss them. We are simply used to it. Europeans, however, are in for one hell of an adjustment.

>says it isn't needed
>six months later
>company is in a tailspin

Joke was on him, literally the next day he started calling repeatedly and begging me to show him where the code was for another task. Another time:
>go to work for a friend's company
>small startup with six whole people in it
>friend and I are to work with the CEO to create a new product
>other three people are doing other things to generate ongoing revenue to pay for everything
>spend the next six months with the CEO starting and then cancelling every single fucking idea he has
>literally put in two to three weeks on a new idea, then "No, shitcan this, Microsoft just announced they're releasing something to do the same task."
>repeat, repeat, repeat
>eventually
>I am so shell-shocked and demoralized that all I can do is stare at the computer
>after all why does it matter, he's just going to cancel his latest project idea in another week anyway
>CEO notices
>decides one day I'm not being productive
>fires me
>
>two years later
>my friend emails me, "We just released our first product!"
>an email mailing list manager
>right about the time that home internet service and the World Wide Web are taking off
LOL

Some other company saw it, liked the code, and bought out their "startup" in order to acquire more developers for their own startup, so I guess it worked out for them.

This: The United States rebuilt Europe by preferentially allowing their products into the US and offshoring jobs. The United States maintained global security (we debate many of its actions by the US later) as a general public good, allowing for the free navigation of the seas. The security was provided by the US military, whose budget dwarfs most others.

Now, for the first time in decades, the United States wants to equalize relations between itself and the rest of the world. It will no longer be a global provider of security for free, nor will it allow asymmetric access to its markets because of “free markets.” Now, Europeans will have to both deal with equal access to their market with the USA, rising military spending, low fertility rates, aging populations, no longer cheap Russian gas, and highly competitive China, who is eating their lunch.

Europeans have this weird sense that only enlightened people “work to live—not live to work.” No, asshole; everyone wants 30-hour work weeks with lots of free shit, but not everyone has a massive sugar daddy. Some people actually have to do shit for you to have that lifestyle.

It’s not about winning, I’m just explaining. It’s the same as someone who doesn’t have heat in their home but also doesn’t care all that much because they never have. I personally would love free health care, but I’ve never had it, so it’s okay.

You guys, however, have become accustomed to a comfortable social net, and its removal will suck for you. That’s just true.

Wasn't fired but I had myself convinced I would be. Started a job for the government doing construction and maintenance type work. I'd never done anything in that field before besides run some heavy equipment. Fast forward, I got my cdl and things were good. One of the guys on our crew had it out for me and had gotten multiple people in the past fired. Basically was harassed for the next 6 months or so until I was able to swap to a different crew. The guy who was giving me a hard time got fired for getting a dui. Still to this day my reputation there is tarnished, and although I am friends with most of the guys and the bosses dont seem to hate me, I can still tell they treat me like im stupid or incapable. It's not a good feeling desu. Im past my probationary period now though so I dont have to worry about being let go for no reason.
>>
>>61914288
I've been let go, never formally fired, shit still sucks, but no where near as damaging as being fired.
>>
>>61918215
BTW, a year later I ran into someone from that company while shopping at Costco. He told me that they ended up firing-for-cause one third of the company (instead of laying people off, because that would have driven their unemployment insurance rates through the roof). He also said the CEO got fired. :-)

Oh, and the reason for all of this? They never got all those "new customers" that caused them to go on a hiring spree in the first place. The CEO had told the sales team that they would get huge bonuses for getting "new installations" at customer sites. So the sales team decided that they would give out "free demo" versions and count all of those as "new installations".

Literally none of the "new customers" were actually using this shit-tier accounting software. They were just running free demos of it because our friendly sales staff had begged them to do it so that the sales staff could rake in huge bonuses. But when it came time to send out consultants to do the customization that pretty much any customer would want, they said "why would we want any of that? we're not using this shit, we're just getting demos of it."
>>
>>61918191
You inevitably will, and the other anon is correct as well. The Pax Americana has had obvious positive impacts on American life and business/innovation, but it has also benefitted Europe to some extent. Your benefits have materialized in the form of surplus tax revenue that does not have to go into your military. So, as the other anon has pointed out, you get to have ridiculous PTO and free healthcare because you don’t divert funds into defense. This WILL change for two obvious reasons:
1.) an aging population coupled with youth unemployment means there are far less people paying into pensions while there are a ton of people collecting them
2.) America’s retreat from the region means money has to be diverted away from social services

It is completely inevitable. You can kick and scream about it or deny that it is happening, but that is exactly what I suggested euros would do in my original post. The transition will be tough, undeniably.

I did got fired from a restaurant once. I had to show a noob the ropes, and once they got the hang of it I left them to it and went for smoke and walked round the block, when I returned my manager had a go at me in the middle of the restaurant whilst I was trying to return to the kitchen, so I went to my locker, rolled an extra long spliff, and then went out the front door and smoked it right in front of a massive window, staring into the restaurant. My manager freaked out some more, fired me, and then I spent about another half hour at the bar (separate managers) getting free drinks. Totally worth it.
>>
Yes.

>contract stopped or not renewed during or at end of probation for a few retail jobs that I didn't give a fuck about

Apart from that, the only other one was during probation in one of my first office jobs.

My first office job after university involved me getting less and less work, and having so little oversight, that I ended up doing basically nothing while being paid. I then got two jobs, one that started later in the year that I wanted long-term and another I started much sooner and which I intended to leave.

I wasn't aiming to be fired but I brought over all my habits from my fake job: turning up late, leaving early, acting 100% non-social, etc. My manager started shouting and was angry at me in our first performance meeting and I had zero idea what I was doing mattered lol.

I was able to totally 180 in the next job.

But in a few later jobs, I quit before I was fired.

One of these was when I was managed by two totally horrific basic bitch roastie managers who pretty much said 'Yeah, you're doing the work but you're not doing enough due to [vague shit]'. The situation deteriorated, they treated me unfairly, I complained, I moved roles within the company (but with one of the managers still overseeing me), I complained formally, HR fucked up or intentionally didn't comply with every step of the complaints process, I was put on a formal performance plan (I was too oblivious, even after months of bad treatment, to realise that it was being unfairly applied), I was put on a more serious performance plan, but then I thankfully got another job, so I quit.

In another job I was graded a low performer in a stack ranking company, where the managers all get together in a room twice a year to decide who they'd rate as low performers. I quit soon after my bad performance review and was likely to be fired, so I quit.
>>
>>61919626

My advice to my past self:

Assume any written performance plan outside of the routine performance management process is an excuse to fire you.

Assume you're on track to be fired if you formally complain about anything to HR. Never assume any step of any HR complaints process will be carried out on time or fairly. Assume any information one HR employee has is shared with all other ones, plus any other employees, with no privacy walls existing.

If you think you're finished at a job, look at what sick leave you're entitled to for both short term and long-term sick leave and what you can be paid. If you have a mental health issue that justifies taking it, then take it.

Work out whether you get holiday pay paid out when leaving or if you should take it.
>>
>>61919645

Oh yeah, and try to figure out what sort of reference your company gives later on. In some countries large companies only ever give standard references that don't mention firings. In others they may contact actual past managers.

The act of cleaning up and removing Africans and Arabs will surely do much to placate the masses. I don't think it will work, fully though. Far too much noticing has been taking place in the last decade and when the time comes, I think people will be far more susceptible to ideas that were formerly cordoned off as verboten.

>the immigration is set up to take the blame for the fiat-fallout
Immigration was supposed to soften the blow by "growing the economy" except it all backfired because Africans and Arabs are just taking the free welfare.
>The act of cleaning up and removing Africans and Arabs will surely do much to placate the masses.
In no uncertain terms, these people must be removed from Western countries, with extreme prejudice if necessary, but yeah it also serves as a convenient distraction. Trump's ICE raid are too little, too late, just a bit of theater to take people's minds off the very visible inflation that's going on.

I'll repeat it one more time for the slow kids in the back: for the long-term social and economic prosperity of white countries, browns need to be thrown out either way. They are an excuse to crank up the knob on the money printers in the first place, and they tend to be rapey, violent, unproductive people to boot.

I’m surprised unvaccinated people were even allowed to draw unemployment. Things were heating up pretty bad for a while there.

No, but I was expelled from public school

Someone deleted my job in asset management. I returned to work, depressed, one morning after having my car window shot out by urban youth. I just got back from the roach coach and hadn't even touched my breakfast when I get a call to come up to HR. Corporate canceled my job, get the fuck out. I wasn't allowed to fill a different role or go out in the shop where I already worked my way up through the ranks, they clearly wanted me gone and didn't have the balls to say why so I put my shit in a box and left the untouched breakfast on the desk for the next unlucky occupant. I was sad and confused at the time but I found a way better career sending fire trucks to rescue kitties in trees and we're hiring.
>>
I only work 7 or 8 months of the year then I get laid off the 4 months, usually a few in the middle of summer and few in the winter and just take unemployment which pays like 600 a week so its not a bad gig
>>
I've never been fired. The only times I've left a job were to pursue higher education 15 years ago and to retire early last year.

When I was in High School, I worked part time at a call center for Xbox customer support. After a couple months of working there, I discovered they had 0 internal network security and that I could access all their internal shared drives and folders, being a dumb kid I looked through it all and found they had a big list of codes for Microsoft points refunds. So of course I copied the codes and used them to buy a bunch of free games on my Xbox. After like 2 months of this I eventually got called in, I denied everything and was let go. It was stupid of me to do, but honestly who lets basic call center employees access everything? I could even see payroll shit.

The first time sucked and felt like a sucker punch. The times after I kind of saw coming and it didn't really phase me after the initial (inevitable, impossible to avoid) psychological shock of having my daily routine disrupted and the betrayals involved come to bear.

I have social issues so I've quitted most jobs during the first 1 or second week. Once, I was able to last 4 months!

Now I am a neet. It is what it is. Maybe my family shouldn't have beaten me up on a daily basis? Humiliated me? My female cousin rape me? Maybe, if things had been different, I wouldn't have any social issues.

Now my parents feel very guilty because every now and then I have a temper tantrum, sit them down and make them remember how they used to beat me hehe. How my father used to come angry from his construction job hehe. The fucked up shit my mother and brother did hehe.

My mother and father get really sad when I sit them down and make them remember. I know they regret it. TOO LATE!

Yeah my job was outsourced to India kek

I left a job day after pay day.
I didn't show up.
Boss calls me, fuming. Yelling at me etc etc. I let them yell, when they finished
>yea if you can forward my tax form to my address...
>WHAT YOU FIRED!!
>no, I quit before you said that technically
>*click*
I had to call the government to get on their ass because they tried to hold my tax form hahahah
That is illegal, quitting short notice is not.

I hated that job and NEETed for about a year & found a better job, boss was an absolute post-menopause cunt

90% chance your boss agreed with you.

When I've had private conversations with higher-up managers and they've gained my trust (which I never use against them btw), you can basically feel the disdain they have for incompetent workers that bitch and moan while also being the least productive. It's actually funny how they'll talk to me like a normal person in a 1 on 1 convo, but in the group meetings they basically have to explain things to the regular employees like they're retarded.

Hardcore boomer. Growing up, if we went fishing or something, he would call people on the drive and absolutely rape them over the phone. He would put it on speaker too, so we had to listen to some random guy get raked over the coals for thirty minutes straight. He honestly did run a very solid business though and he sold it for a lot of money (and he gave everyone, including the line workers, big bonuses depending on the years worked after it sold) but holy hell was it miserable to work for him. To this day my brother pays off the waitress before we go to any restaurant so that she will put up with his shit. I’ve seen him skill-crane out the ice cubes in his whiskey and hold up the drink to the light in front of the waitress’s eyes and ask if it looked like a double.

Boomers are a different breed. We got into a fistfight a few years ago, didn’t speak for years, but we are on good terms now.

Thanks for reading my blog.

After four deployments 06-10 in the sandbox, I won a fist fight that my drunk friend started. My enlistment was up in a few months so I took the blame and we were still good friends the next day. They kicked me out and fucked over a lot of my veterans benefits. My friend stayed in and did 20 years with a clean record.

Got fired from my remote IT job on the exact same day I moved to the apartment I had just finally bought. Also got a blind spot on my eye (turned out to be CSCR) which has become chronic and is still plaguing me ever since, and all due to stress from burnout and everything else that was happening around me for the previous few months. My vision has some permanent damage now and I might not even be able to drink alcohol anymore because of this fucking thing (yeah imagine that). At least I still got weed.

It's been almost a year now and I still haven't landed anything after a whole bunch of interviews. Even with 8 years of experience in my niche. Bleeding money atm while I'm getting my unemployment benefit but it'll run out in a few more months.

Just a year ago I honestly wouldn't have even have dreamed of imagining it would be this hard.

I got fired from my first job at the age of 16 as a grocery bagger because I called an old woman a dumb bitch because she was freaking out that I put a can of soup in the same bag as a box of kraft mac and cheese. It at the same time taught me to never work a customer facing job ever again and to hate old people more than any other group on the planet.

>Have you ever been fired from your job
Technically not fired but when they wanted me to leave (temp at a dead-end shithole retail job) they just stopped scheduling me in for shifts, so I stopped showing up. Technically counts as constructive dismissal but I was 16 and I didn't care enough to make a scene over some minimum wage bullshit.

I am at a job like this literally right now. The black evening security guard at LM sleeps at his desk regularly. When he's awake he's on his phone the whole time. The day shift security guard literally sexually harasses many of the women in front of everyone. He calls them his booboo, baby mamas etc.

I got fired because I had a variant of niggerfaggot as my password and melanated IT man clicked the unhide password button one time while working on my computer. Nbd though, got to cash out my company stonks and got a new job in 3 weeks anyway for $10k more.

I've tried to get fired and it never happens. I actually wish it did. Quit last job because I was fucking sick of them and a woman gave me the stink eye when I made a pass at her. Fuck Koreans.

My advice to everyone is to not worry. Being a loser is not a bad thing because you eventually get to try again. People are nothing, do what you will. Jobs are fake and those that aren't still don't matter that much. Society is all fake and gay and retarded, treat them as such.

Laid off in 2009
Literally impossible to find a job
Collected unemployment for 6 months
Just slept in, played videogames
Unemployment extended another 6 months because unemployment was so high, but then I found a job a couple months after that
All in all, pretty comfy, but I was young, living at home, and therefore wasn't losing money, despite the unemployment only being like $250 a week
7/10

2020
Went from 1 job before COVID lockdowns, to 4 wfh jobs a few months later. One place was pretty on top of things and noticed I wasn't doing anything so they fired me about 1 month in. The other places kept me on despite doing little more than checking my email in the morning and replying to a few teams messages a day to look involved. Made about 350k a year from those 3 jobs, for 2 years. I also stopped paying rent from 2020 to 2021 because they couldn't evict me.
Also made some money due to market go up, and in 2022 I bought a condo in cash.
Went back to one job in 2023, but was very bored and the pay was pretty irrelevant compared to just daily market fluctuations
Quit in 2024 and have been unemployed since then
Overall it's pretty nice
In 2021 I just bought a
