Do you lie or exaggerate in job interviews?I did a little bit early on when I had no office experience but I have been mostly honest since then and feel like it has been too much and I'm a sucker. These scenario questions are too specific ("Tell me about when you disagreed with someone and committed and used a pogo stick to do it...") and employers are basically asking to be lied to. There is also large dishonestly in job adverts that promise much more responsibility than you get.
>>61920278I will say whatever I need to say to get whatever I want.
>>61920278Yeah these retarded hiring processes made by women are literally incentivising lies. It's the same with modern dating where women decide. I now understand why fathers used to pick men for their daughter. Because women are retarded when it comes to detecting liers.
>>61920278lying and exaggerating is part of the "game". they expect you to do to some degree. you are usually even given some leeway in terms of that, just dont go overboard with it.
>>61920278I don't lie about my qualifications, I 100% lie about my willingness to do what's asked of me in the role. I try to put my best foot forward, but inevitably they end up asking for more than they're willing to pay for, and I just have to grit my teeth and say, "Yes, I will follow your unreasonable instructions," with my fingers crossed behind my back. Once in the role, I can say, "That's ridiculous and I'm not doing that," and they can decide the productivity I provide is worth the "headache" of having to treat me with dignity.
>>61920617Also, I don't feel bad about it because they inevitably lie, too.
>>61920278>so why do you want to work here anon?>Well I've always loved [product/service] and what you do here at [business name].Or>I'm looking for new opportunities to push myself to continue growing in my career/expertiseOr>[Sob story about how you overcame hardship]Just feel out your audience and tell them the story that resonates with them. Once you get the job none of it matters because interviews rarely, if ever, check that you actually know the skill set. One would think they would grow a brain and check this instead, but boomers and HR Stacies never did real work a day in their lives so they don't even know the skill set.
>>61920278>>61920327>>61920590Yeah as an HR recruitment agent I can tell you this is a very bad idea. We are literally trained to sniff out lies during job interviews. It's our job to find the truth and make a good estimation if you will be a good fit for our company. Trust me over the years i've seen it all. People who made up employers, friends as references or just some lazy bums who literally had a 2 month gap on their resume. Trust me when I say this but WE WILL FIND OUT. Just be honest from the start it's the best you can do. We also have connections in the industry and it's very easy for us to do a background check.

>>61920278Lie on the resume to get the interview. They are read by AI anyway. Be truthful but exaggerate in the interview.
