So the arbitrage is quite sick : you get scrap for $15/kg and turn it into $100 bars.And here is where it become truly interesting : unlike for others metals, you don't need any material to refine, purify, and cast tin. No furnace, no expensive torch, propane tank, casting molds, etc...It melt at 200°C, that's less than for cooking a pizza. And since pewter is tin mixed with copper/lead/alu, the others metals wont melt, they will simply float on top, so you simply have to scoop them up with a spoon to get rid of the crap metals and only get 100% pure tin!All you need to purify + cast 1kg pure ingots :>$10 camping stove (you can do it on your induction plate in the kitchen, but old pewter is mixed with lead, so you better do it outside)>an old saucepan (with a pouring spout preferably)>any recipient to use as mold, like just cake molds or a icecube box (i've seen ppl even use empty toilet paper rolls lol), preferably something who will end up making out 10oz or 1kg barsWhat do you think of my idea frens?
