What do you even spend your money on besides basic necessities? Meaning YOUR OWN money, not from your parents or partner
>>61927791I spend it to make more money lolls
>>61927797Besides that, obviously.

>>61927791Besides investments,Guns(can still be investment), movies and vidya(entertainment), Better equipment for recording audio and video as I’m planning on becoming a boudoir and wildlife photographer this year.
>>61927824What do you do with these? Just collect or resell them? I don't understand people that spend their money just to collect shit
>>61927834They're toys. I wear those watches, fondle those coins, make sounds with those synthesizers. I don't plan to sell them while I'm alive, and when I die it will be someone else's headache.
>>61927826Do you plan to make money from photography or just for your own pleasure? How is photography a pleasure?
>>61927849Hello my cat. If I dangle some keys in front of you and tickle your belly will you pay me?
pc gaming but I hold myself to one full build every 5 years.
>>61927864My hope is to make money from photography eventually, though I know it will take a while to turn a profit as a new photographer with no network after spending all the money I have on equipment. But I would also like to do it for fun as well. For boudoir, I’d get to meet many attractive models and even though sex won’t be involved it would still be nice to see them in person and get money from working with them. For wildlife, I have noticed in the past few years after being a shut-in most of my life that I crave adventure in the outdoors and I want to explore the wilderness in many different states and countries and hopefully get good enough photographs to be bought, and even if they aren’t I can keep them for myself. I’m not expecting to become rich from any of it but I’m hoping it can lead to some decent side money as well as a fulfilling hobby.

>>61927919What made you want to get into photography? Do you think AI will be fucking this shit up?
>>61927791>video games>musical instruments (new ocarina latest)>books, mostly philosophy - reading Wittgenstein atm>nicotine patches because I watched a single interview from a random doctor I've never heard of before or since who said its good for youI also want to buy a Nikon P1000 or similar because space photography would be cool>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2j2WYYd3to
>>61927955>>nicotine patches because I watched a single interview from a random doctor I've never heard of before or since who said its good for youHow do I become like you?
>>61927945I’ve watched a lot of documentaries, especially ones about nature and war. I don’t think I would survive being a war photographer but I still like being out in nature a lot. I guess I just want to know what it’s like to go out into various wilderness areas and capture the life cycles of various animals while taking in the scenery as well. I think I would enjoy it very much and even if no one buys my photos or videos I can always keep them and have the pleasure of the experience as well as having high quality wildlife photography of my own making. I already know I’d like to travel to far off places from me like Alaska or Japan to find certain bugs and animals. As for the boudoir photography, I am simply a gooner that would get to work with some of the same girls I would beat it to, which sounds nice. I don’t know about the future of AI, but for now I don’t think they could compete with real photographers when it comes to mainstream audiences. As for photography enthusiasts, I don’t think they will care about or accept AI in their work ever since the craft is about going to a real place and taking real pictures of moments of life.
>>61928103Sounds like you're not that materialistic and you enjoy nature a lot. You realized money is a means, not an end. Good for you mang

>>61927791A big chunk of my non-essential spending has always gone towards international travel. When I was still working, I mostly spent money on DCA into investments. Now most of my discretionary spending goes towards visiting new places every few months.
>>61928202How do you spend your money while traveling?
>>61928211It depends on where I went and if I was single. Of course food, airplane, and mid-range hotels anywhere I go. Sometimes regular tourist shit like museums, boat tours, or hot air balloons. Other times bars, clubs, and women. There was a 4-5 year phase I went through with music festivals within USA. That cost quite a bit of money between airplane tickets, car rentals, venue tickets, drugs, etc.
>>61928226So I'm guessing ultimately the biggest expenses still revolve around getting laid?
>>61928229It's the airfare and hotels that will get ya. Drinks and ladies are cheap in comparison even if that's wait you're mainly looking for.
>>61928112Ty fren. I try to not be too jewish about money these days but at the same time I can’t stop thinking about my investments and money in the back of my head every day. I hope to become a successful photographer one day to alleviate these worries for myself and focus on something I’m passionate about.
>>61928263I can see you already have it in you friend. If you are passionate you will find a way. And the "means" will come to you if you want it hard enough. You never know how or when, maybe you'll make a lot of money or maybe there's a different way for you. Just be open and present when the opportunities present themselves
>>61927791I buy video games, beer, and that's it.
