Yes. Will short more if we get a Monday cope pump. Trump and Mr kike have created a fine mess and I think people want off of the ride. Should be obvious for everyone now that:
- Pool is closed
- War won't be over quickly
- Gulf states are fucked hard (in the ass)
- East Asia and Europe will suffer
- America will face (more) domestic problems as this goes on

SPY can very well drop down to 200 MA day graph, so closing shorts around 655ish.

I watched bravos research, he says america has become an oil exporter recently that's why trump doesn't care about strait of Hormuz. China also imports from Russia as they are increasingly desperate in Ukraine so they offer china cheaper prices. Malaysia is also selling a lot of oil to china. China doesn't care either.
Apparently nobody cares about the Strait of Hormuz anymore so basically none of the dumping in stock makes sense.

Cool. I was posting earlier that my theory was "metals go up slowly, so use leverage" and silver friday was my ego check. Normally I would have reached that probably in 2 years and not 4 months. I figured silver would top out at $120 (and it did, but not lineally) and that didnt shake me out, but it did cause enough stall that I wanted to pull out and cut my debt as much as possible now that the ride was over, for now.
The extra money came from me panicking and trying to get back and prove my thesis was still valid in the beginning of a war and Fiat crisis. I will say, it still works, in normal markets, but not right now.
The extra today came from a literal fluke. I through "well, war. so oil up. how do i oil up at 2am?" and and risked it on futures on CL=F. It was stupid. dont do this. but I had enough to come out positive over all but the last bit of oil profit gave me a nice cushion. I lost about half of what I made over the last 6mo on calls that didnt pay out, but would have if I would have held.
Its a strange game, but you should play it to win because winning is maxing personal risk tolerance.

-korean 5x leverage on AI
-that's all well and good or something
-their economy pumps hard because WDC/SNDK/Nvidia/Micron are pumping because of AI shit because of cheetoman and theyhave samsung/hynix
-cheeto man starts a war
-iraqi oil not flowing now
-korea imports oil from iraq
-oil shock causes korean algos to dump fucking everything
-5x leverage means the dump turns into a crash really fast
-this means SOX and Micron and shit dump because algos in the west are tandem dumping
-people will 100% tell you you 'should have seen it coming in hindsight' because /biz/ has the largest concentration of enormous fags
-cheeotman probably didn't consider this happening because he is a retard

I notice that the Korean ETF guys are gone after 2-3 days of violent crashing.

I stopped playing PMs bout a 2 weeks ago when I saw that there was a hard celling, also knowing that the silver futures were manipulated to hell and back (thus the margin increase about 4 times in one month). I wanted to just fine a good exit and I did so in oil. I was already planning to EJECTO SEATO CUZ and should have done so with the december peak but I was worried about the tax cost.
I got a $114 refund this year......
Im not good at this. I somehow just got really, really lucky with maybe 10% of the knowledge I should have to do the trade I did.
But hey. I turned $3500 to into ~$120,000 by pressing buttons on my phone

That's a substantial portion of the beauty of NATGAS AND OIL. The prices aren't entirely arbitrary. They are absolutely required for the functioning of literally everything, and it takes a certain amount of money to produce them. They /will/ bottom at much relatively less arbitrary points and rise again to much relatively less arbitrary points.

What I am saying is, passionately buying and selling barrels of oil and wheat futures just so retarded golem can continue living false lives is becoming more of a horrendous spectacle than a way of life for some. Just look at what we are becoming, more alcohol stores, more pharmacies, more takeaway, people zooming around in cars they can't afford to houses they can't afford to jobs they hate, living on credit. We have become a horrendous, soulless golem species who don't care about anything anymore. One people stop can't afford to care the whole system will break down. Don't you care about anything, maybe you paint warhammer figurines or watch anime as a man in your 30's or play adult lego or somethong? Maybe you could relate to the government bombing you while you did that? How would that make you feel? Like 150 young girls bombed while they were at school, just something to think about I guess while browsing charts and trend lines of support and resistance.

1 Thing I love about the playing the market, and why just nothing else compares, is that it always surprises you. There's always more to learn.

I was really doubting Trump.
I really couldn't understand why he did what he did, maybe he was just a nutcase and all my theories and comparisons that he was a America's Hadrian, a genius playing a retard character - were wrong.

And then today it just all clicked.
It all made sense and I realized that in retrospect (beyond anticipating 1 move by Bibi) he couldn't have played it any better if he had several do-overs.

I'm very disappointed in myself for not being able to see it. I've read mountains of histroy and political philosophy, but I just couldn't see the full picture in my head.

Mr Donald sir, I do apologize.

I thank you for dropping a retard like me the hints today with the over-the-top posts and playing the "evil squabbling councilors" gambit to make it obvious to a retard like me what was really going on.

I have much to learn from you sir.

I ask your mercy, my only defense being that the exquisite subtlety of art, I really was fooled until you showed made it plain as day today.

it's an ongoing story. many such cases. anyways i was thinking a lot about you recently, about all the cussing and slurs you do, by now you know i choose to live differently. part of the reason is because i know that our thoughts are real, they might not have physical mass but they're part of our universe, and to utter nasty words you need also to make those nasty thoughts, and it really does have an effect on your mood, it does real damage.
if you don't believe me, part of how i recognize you is repeating phrases and ideas that i know you learned from me, i can spot the idea i had that moved into your head, sometimes a concept, sometimes just a way of phrasing things, but i can see the new furrows in your mind and how you're using a new idea. it's really delightful. but my point is that your thoughts have consequences, they effect who we are, everything ripples into everything else.
that's why i was so happy when you said you were going to stop using bad words. not because i don't like them, i don't but i'm here after all, hear them all the time, but because i see so much potential in you, i thought, "she's gonna get things, going to change so much," it was a real letdown to see you go back on that.
anyways know that's a lot, but it's been a while, you're on my mind often, and i love you.

They will dude. Thats what I’m saying.

If the market tanks, it’s the only tool they have left. They can’t cut rates by 5% because we’re between 3.5 and 3.75%. Historically a 5% rate cut is how they encourage investment. When that stopped working (2008), they just started using QE. It happened again in 2020. It will happen again, too. The market follows the fed sheet. If the fed reduces their balance sheet, the market falls accordingly. So, if they want line to go up? They do open market operations and make their balance sheet bigger. It’s spooking me into some gold because, if this market does tank, you can bet that the dollar is going to lose some serious value.

>How often are predictions like these are right?
analysts are paid shills, i wouldnt trust whatever nonsense they write
>I'm considering to double down and lower my cost average.
this only really works if you have a ridiculous amount of capital, if something is down 50% (from 10 to 5 for example) you would have to buy the equivalent amount of shares you bought previously to lower the basis to 7.5, and it has diminishing returns, if the stock still heads towards the depths of the earth doing this a lot of times would mean your position turns into a black hole if it doesnt go back up. It's inefficient but makes the breakeven point easier to reach. Another option that is a bit more capital efficient is buying a LEAP call if you still want to long it, but then again, it only increases your exposure. Hedging would make your shit pile bigger but stops the bleeding, its probably too late for that. Then there are 2 other options: do nothing or taking the loss to the chin and moving the money somewhere else. With the current implied volatility of the stock of over 70%, the market is pricing in would take more than a year to go back to 10 bucks. The choice is yours.
>>
If you had invested in spy 6 months ago you'd beat the inflation. The official inflation.
>>
>>61947685
Right now it's Iran not the fed that's causing the line to go down. So the fed shouldn't do QE so fast. They should wait until the market has crashed like they did back in 2020, the market crashed hard then they did it.
>>
>>61947439
I don't think they fully comprehended that Iran is 1. more of a first world country with regulations on morals and women, it's not just another desert country. 2. the dude they killed was more like a pipe that a president. you basically killed the pipe and said "I trump get to negotiate the next pope".

IVV had an all time high close to $700.

It is cheaper than that now and might get cheaper. If you are into technical analysis you might be able to tell me the P/E and other metrics have been to high for a long time. I’m simple, I look at the all time high and buy it below that. That’s my explanation. I’m not a fancy trader. I just enjoy typing in a site that allows free speech!

they don't really have a reason to, and Israel/USA never honors their agreement. right now their easiest play is to ruin Trump's presidency by dragging this out.

I realized the gains, than on similar positions realized losses, bringing me to 0 gains YTD. Since they're similar things (SPY options) my losses are a wash sale.
Do I just need to not trade any SPY for all of December this year for it to "count" and not be a wash sale?

My math is to spread over several high divvie ETFs paying over 10% (crypto-based ones pay more than double that, for now) and just never care for inflation. The ETFs I use are mostly following the underlying in price and are not left too far behind, and are for sure beating inflation.
I probably won't retire the moment I get to 500k, but I will certainly ease it down, be comfortable with quitting shit jobs or getting fired and sitting out for long periods. I will aim for either 100% remote jobs, or jobs I can get to in a single bus ride.

Several of them are the same option (just at different cost for loss and sales obviously)
I.e. I might trade the same option 4 times with 25 contracts each time, for a "difference" of 5 cents.
Are you saying that since they're 0dte, after 31 days they'd be "settled" for whatever the adjusted gain or loss is?

We've had decades of environmentalist agitation yet not one country has transitioned to completely renewable energy due to decades of environmentalist agitation against nuclear.

Spain has >50% renewable energy due to nuclear and solar but the leftist pieces of shit are phasing out all nuclear, which is 25% of energy production, by 2030.

Leftism is a Luddite death cult that actively seeks the destruction of humanity and the world.

>Are you saying that since they're 0dte, after 31 days they'd be "settled" for whatever the adjusted gain or loss is?
>trade 1 = lose $1 realized
>trade 2 happens
>trade 1 loss of $1 is now disallowed because you bought the same option within 30 days
>realize $1 profit on trade 2
>net $0 gain/loss on both trades collectively
Your tax statement at year end is going to show the first trade as $0 gain/loss and will show the second trade also as a $0 gain/loss because the $1 loss from the first trade got accounted for (washed out) on the second trade. You didn't lose the loss and your overall net p&l should tie to your tax records under those circumstances. If you keep trading the same strike and expiration for a loss, you would continually disallow the loss until the final trade on that strike/exp and then all the disallowed stuff gets accounted for on that final trade.

We're potentially fucked Monday. The options support was all around 6800 and its solidly breached. Other technicals were already breached plus you've got the semiconductors now looking like they're distributing.
The next support is basically the 50 EMA down around 6500.

I'm not saying it's happening and the puts that all see this potential too had them too expensive for me to buy any so I have no position to post. I'm just saying the setup for a dump Monday exists.

I got out of HGRAF at the first short in the 6 dollar range. I watch it every day and I see chump pumps become exit liquidity. It will pump out 30 cents and decay back down as people use the pump to exit. Its sad to see but i knew it would come. Perhaps stronger hands will hold it and ill buy it again. For now i watch.
