/biz/ros i need your council
i'm gonna make this into a greentext to avoid a blogpost
>be wageslaving at a "sales engineer" job for the past 4.5 years
>pay is good for a 3rd world country (%80 percentile)
>job is usually low intensity with the occasional spike in headaches
>boss can be a pain in the ass during the periods of low intensity (also an annoying micromanager)
>been unsatisfied with it for a while
>already decided that this year will be my final year (was planning to resign somewhere between august and the end of the year)
>a few days ago during the period of low intensity the boss assigns me an annoying monkeywork that i previously informed that i was uncomfortable doing (legally suspicious)
>i submit my resignation on the same day
>ngl after the initial "wtf have i done" passed i was kinda relieved to earn my freedom and peace of mind (i have a lot of savings that can carry me a couple of years)
>yesterday boss sends me a warmly-worded email basically telling me that i was an essential part of the company and that he wants me to reconsider and offered me a %25 salary increase for me to stay till the end of the year
now I'm at a loss. on the one hand, staying till the end of the year was my original plan, so now i get to do that plus higher salary to further bolster my savings.
on the other hand, there are some projects i submitted proposals for that are above my skill levels in managing (boss wants me to manage them single-handedly) so if i went back in, and these projects were actually awarded i might be stuck with them and then it would be difficult to get out without burning bridges.
which decision do you think would aid me in leaving this shithole for good and migrating to the 1st world?

Nigger I am not reading all of that

>>
>>61950143

>work a well-paying job that i hate
>quit
>boss offers me %25 salary increase to stay till the end of the year
should i take it or leave it?
>>

Unless that 25% bump really made some critical difference to my circumstances I don't think I'd go back to job I resigned from.

>above my skill levels in managing
this is how you learn

and at least you have resources to help you. That's legitimately what the boss is there for.

if it's not a matter of skill, but more a matter of personality, you might aughta tell your boss that on the way out the door. Lots of people lose jobs because they get promoted to work they're born incapable of doing

>migrating to the 1st world
Why do you believe this will solve your problems?

Op here
It might not.
But the idea of spending the rest of my life in this detestable hellscape of a country is literal nightmare fuel.
Imagine being a modern, educated, civilized human being but stuck in Afghanistan for the rest of your life. It's suffocating, debilitating, paralyzing.
