Why do I never hear about investing in water on /biz/? seems like a pretty good long-term play.
>>61950828not sure how it is now but last time I bought water I had to buy it by the acre foot, it cost as much as a medium sized house, and it hasn't gone up in value in the last 20 years. Also nearly impossible to sell because realistically most people don't need a fucking acre foot.
>>61950828I have thousands of water bottles in my garage I bought years ago as cheap insurance moreso than an investment, cost me less than 200 bucks and already come in handy during power outages and whatnot. Water prices are subsidized because if they fluctuated as much as other perishables it would be much more likely to cause people to panic. 97% of the worlds water is salt water3% potable waterOf that 3%, 2/3rds of it are currently in the form of ice, so only 1% of the worlds water is available to drink right now.If you really wanted to invest in water, your best bet would be buying Canada kek (but unironically).
>>61950846Germany has more then enough freshwater thats how i know this is propaganda.
>>61950846Sounds like we need to desalinate an ocean or two and melt some glaciers
I don't personally know of any besides AWK, which hasn't performed too well recently. I like utilities in general as a hold forever sector...good yield and dividend growth. In terms of just how I live regarding water. I will harvest all the rainwater I can. I will dig whatever is necessary to make sure not a drop that falls or flows onto my property leaves. Recycle my shower/laundry water for irrigation. I'll be growing almonds in the desert while everyone else is getting throttled.
>>61950828H2O coin isn't hot. YOLO all on on Aircoin bros.
I'm investing about $200 in an additional 275-gallon ibc tote and PVC pipe fittings to collect additional rainwater for me and my livestock.
>>61950828Seems like a good short term play as well
Nigga the earth is 71% water , lmao.
>>61950968And yet you cant swim
omg i just bought watercoin (ticket: $WATER) give it a break with the shitcoins already
>>61950828I've been looking for companies that build DESAL plants to invest in, but there aren't very many trading publicly. Only stock I own so far is CWCO (Consolidated Water), it's fairly small and a low conviction, minimal bet for me. Most are either bundled with regular utilities or construction companies, and a few are entirely private (the Israeli one for instance, which would easily be the best to invest in but off limits for plebs). Curious if anyone else has tried this and if they reached a different conclusion.
>>61950864>Germany is experiencing increasing, localized fresh water shortages driven by climate change, inefficient water management, and pollution, with 50% of districts facing groundwater stress. Droughts have led to reduced groundwater, dried-up rivers, and conflicts over water use in agriculture and industry. The government is implementing a national strategy to secure water supplies through 2030, aiming to prevent shortagesthanks grok
>>61950828I have a $80 reverse osmosis filter. What else should I invest in?
