How did your addictions impact your personal wealth/prospects/career and how did you resolve them?
>>
>>61950970
hi yes thanks for asking. i spent 7 years buying shitcoins and lost all my "wealth".
>>
>>61950970
my addictions to booze, tobacco, sex, and video games keep me working to pay for them. I have resolved this by working to pay for them.

Yea so I'm addicted to gambling. Not even the cool kind of gambling but like the low iq gambling, shit like opening sports cards packs/boxes and parlays. Tested 105 iq, so half a standard deviation above normal. Enough to know that normies are retards but not enough to escape the hell of being a midwit middle class retard. I resolve them by telling myself that "I'm not losing 100% of my money so it isn't truly gambling" because I can always sell the cards it's just that the cards I'm getting aren't the super rare cards that would make what I'm doing profitable. I also obviously have a fapping addiction. No alcohol, weed, or nicotine though so it could be worse.

never thankfully got into anything too expensive but I did ruin my liver with alcohol. Just can't and don't drink anymore really but those years were literal hell. At that time I didn't care about my health physical, mental, or financial. AA helped turn my attitude around on all 3. Don't go anymore but it's nice when people help people

Congrats on doing better anon. Alcohol is a true wrecker

booze had my good for a few years. went to rehab and lived in a sober house in my 20s and honestly it lit a fire under my ass to finish school and not be a loser retail wagie for the rest of my life. doing much better now and on track to retire by 45 or so.

Not really. It's more so the feeling of ripping the plastic seal off a box and opening the packs. I guess the sound of ripping a pack is kind of pleasing to the ears and then the thrill of scrolling through the cards to see if it will be a hit. You'll never know whats in the box if you never open it and the thought of something that could buy a new house being inside a $200 box gives a lot of hope.

My biggest addiction is probably to this site which has undoubtedly had an enormous impact on my life. In terms of career, I would probably have one instead of neeting. Wealth and prospects would certainly be different.

I'm listening to the power of habit atm and it's pretty good. Listening to it while walking in the morning for the last few days. If there's one thing that's been holding me back it's staying up past 3am almost every night (usually until 4 or 5).

I lost 3000$ on my lunch break at work a year ago playing blackjack on a crypto casino, now I'm just trying to quit weed. Still bet on polymarket tho

Became an alcoholic and ruined my life. The story is pathetic but it is what it is. Lost control and got drunk every single day. It had to happen sooner or later. Had to move back with my parents, the same fucking city I grew up in and there is basically nothing here. I couldn't make it back.

It was my fault and I can't blame anybody but me. At least, I've been able to reduce the alcohol intake and don't drink more than once a week.

How many years did you drink and how heavy? How do you know your liver is cooked
>>
>>61950970

The more addictions I had , the more successful I became because I knew I needed to keep the addiction. Women, drugs, cars, clothes, and various hobby shit.

Checked
Daily drinker 2020 to 2025, 750ml a day
Was hospitalized where they do the tests. Had DTs etc but no seizure, maybe because of my depakote script. It's not cirrhosis but my enzymes are still elevated and symptoms from fatty liver. It's not like losing a leg in a car crash or anything but life is harder.

For anons that still drink with this allergy.. even if it's once a week only, remember the drink wants you dead. And that's not a joke, it can and will do it. If you're alcoholic like me, you're allergic, you can't have it at all.

Thanks for the insight anon. I am pretty similar started drinking heavy after covid (beers). Had a 6 month cold turkey break in between which may have reversed a ton of damage. Then started again. I’ll dial it back because now it’s progressed to heavier drinks.
Glad you are doing better, keep it up

After covid, I wanted to be “more social” so I was going out, spending money, banging hoes etc, drinking a lot. Then I got a new apartment, nicer hoes and a comfy wfh job, so I was day drinking every day. Fully functional. Was feeling on top of the world. Then one day I got a notification from my goyslop watch: atrial fibrillation. Went to ER, got blood thinners, stopped drinking…. The worst part is thay without my goyslop watch, I would have never noticed. It just felt like a bad hangover. Godspeed out there anons. Alcohol is really the road to hell and everyone claps and celebrates you
