You can't say "I live here" because legally there is no home on that land so that is not true. It's possible in some states. I'm qualified and comfortable building a house solo from the ground up and taking care of all my own utilities. I also realize, this is probably going to take 2 years minimum full time effort just to barely be comfortable. If I wasn't the kind of person that hikes 20 miles in the desert for fun, I wouldn't be up for it. I'm also not starting until I own a property outright and have at least another 500-700k so I don't have to go back to work when I'm done.
