Those are liquidity grabs. Extremely bearish.
It means there are only a few sell orders in the book between 1940-2000 which allows the price to pump easily with low liquidity. Then once the price pumps, sellers dump off to fill the buy orders in that range. It was probably a block of trigger sell orders, set to sell large portions.
So the sell orders in the range of the wicks would get filled, that would trigger the trigger orders because the price was reached, then a new sell order would be created with the intent of filling buy orders.
It would be something like
If price = >1975
Sell x @ 1940
If price <1975 sell [small amount] @1980-2010
Then there'd be a block of those small sell order set so the price can pump and trigger the big sell.
