Realistically how long can oil stay this high before the economy crashes?
>>61956062Literally no one uses oil anymore, chud. Get an EV like a normal person.
>>61956062about 6 months
>>61956064what about salads and dressings?
>>61956092Louis dressing.
>>61956062Forever. You just won’t get to use oil like it’s free candy. What do you need oil for? You don’t need a grocery store that stocks tropical fruit year round in your urban frozen hellscape. Your luxury and decadence will simply return to the mean. :)

Two more weeks (actually)
>>61956062Literally forever. It's been higher than this for years in inflation-adjusted terms with no effects other than a few people buying slightly more fuel-efficient cars. It's literally a nothingburger.
>>61957434>Literally forever.Disagree , as everything in US is delivered by trucks. However , said that. We already survived Biden's high gasoline and diesel prices that were high on purpose during covid. So, our local american gas/diesel prices probably won't go to Biden's highs, because they shut down production for this on purpose, and Trump won't .
>>61957924>Biden's high gasoline and diesel pricesGasoline spiked 5x in the 70's oil crisis and never recovered. It was pretty annoying for several months as everybody adjusted. Gas stations needed new pumps to handle the new 3-digit gas prices (prices had gone from around $.22/gal to around $1.18/gal, but the higher oil prices meant more drilling (the explosion in offshore drilling happened then), which stabilized prices, and life went on.
>>61956062It's a perfect storm for Trump to execute more US based drilling.
>>61956064you don't use olive oil?
