Went to my first card show this weekend. My negotiating skills need a lot of work. Also I slightly overpaid because I didn't want to look up comps right in front of his face, I felt as if that were disrespectful but I probably should have done it anyway. Not anything insane, only like $15 above last sale but still.

The whole idea of pokemon, if you must know. Is that there is a vast world of all different types of pokemon. That is the whole premise of the pokemon world. I collected the 1st edition pokemon cards when we around 10 at school with friends, as pokemon was becoming cool. We battled, traded, compared, collected. We wanted other peoples cards because other people found that persons cards cool. Mother would buy us booster packs and we would hope for a Charizard but mainly got machamps. Then we threw them in the cupboard when digimon and dragon ball Z came out and years later your parents were having a garage sale and you were forced to sell to some old boomer fuck. Your incessant want for all collectable or valuable charizards only, I find abhorrent and gastly. You don't have any other cards, you are just a ghost of a time long gone desperately trying to hold onto something that is gone.

None of these are even gen 1 and they look to be chinese copies, these are straight up dog shit

It was pretty cool. I'm a marvel fan so I was slightly disappointed that the tcg section was just all pokemon and like a couple magic booths. I saw a couple people that had like an app where they scanned a pic of a card with their phone and it instantly showed comps do you use one of those or do you manually check? The main reason I went was to drop stuff off at the psa booth but those retards closed their booth 30 mins before they were scheduled to on their site. Still got a few laps around the floor though which was nice.
