is blackjack a winnable game?
>>
>>61958227
yes, be the house

Kys spammer
>>>/pol/ stay there

I am the house and I want out of this industry. I wish I was self employed instead of making blackjack games. God I hate gambling design jobs so much

Here's a freebe: zoomer blackjack, the deck is only 6's and 7's. 3 cards scoring between 18 and 21.

What's so bad about it?
>>
>>61958227
of course, you just gotta not be a pussy and have some faith.
>>
>>61958227
Only if you count cards on a regular shuffler.

I don't think it is winnable long term, but in like 2006, my wife and I went to Vegas for a vacation bc we had no money and it was super cheap.
>Stayed at the old trpoicana
>gave us a ton of freebies when we arrived
$100 each in free chips (couldn't cash them out)
Free spin of wheel of fortune
free buffet voucher
>spin wheel of fortune, won $250
>wife and I go to roulette, I put $100 on red, she on black
>she wins $100
>I take her $100 free chips to black jack; $5 table
>just play the odds like I was cribbing from a tutorial, only play with the house chips until they are all lost
>end up with 2 black jacks and the rest kind of 50/50.
>walk away with $250 from wheel of fortune, $100 from roulette, maybe $110 from black jack
>4-day trip was only like $700 including hotel and airfare.
>2nd night, can't sleep
>go out on the strip; go to each casino and sign up for their rewards program; get $35-$75 in house chips for signing up
>only bet with house chips til they are gone, then cash out my winnings and go to next
>hit a hot streak at MGM, won about $550 there
>Walk back into the hotel room at 9 am with more than $1000.
>spend the days at the pool
>go into the casino and meander around $1 tables until a waitress stops by one to get drink orders
>sit at $1 table and order 2 free cocktails
>play 3 hands while waiting for cocktails
>take cocktails to pool
>have a fairly OK trip and come back with around $300 more than I left with

Not at a fuckin Chinese casino lemme tell you. Played for over an hour last Saturday and fought my ass off the entire time. Usually I win and I win big but the dealer pushed exactly ONE time the entire hour I was playing. Something was fishy and it wasn’t the Chinese broad sitting next to me if you catch my drift.

Fucking retards. Holy shit you are so retarded it hurts
>>
Yes, but they will kick you out if you win too much so basically no. Also they use like 10 decks in boot now so counting sucks.
>>
>>61958227
Yes. It's honestly one of the best games to play at the casino.
>>
>>61958227
>perfect strategy 99.5% RTP
>counting cards 100.5% RTP
Counting cards will get you kicked out. If you can buy in using a credit card and they waive the fee then you can grind 1-5% cashback on the creditcard while taking a 0.5% cash loss.

I learned from a boomer couple that on a cruise I could buy giftcards using my credit-card and put the gift card balance into my casino balance with a 1x playthrough. Made $100-200 each day in cashback which put me at or above break even. The real money was the freebies they throw at you so you gamble more. Free excursions, room upgrades, free drink package upgrades, and a free future cruise.

You are so virgin it hurts. Games are for fun, only poor people would mourn 100 bucks lost in a bet.
>>
>>61959301
Nigger why would you both bet on red and black? You get at most 50% back off what you bet
>>
>>61959298
might as well just get a job, sounds tedious
>>
If you win the casino bans you

I think the point was to exchange house chips for regular chips. Get rid of half the house chips with 100% chance of success.

Former card counter, I was active around 1995-2002. It was beatable back then, but barely, primarily because surveillance was starting to get systems that could easily identify card counters.

During the 2008-11 economic meltdown, casinos changed the rules on blackjack so that instead of paying 3:2 for a blackjack, they started paying 6:5. Idiots thought "numbers bigger therefore good!" but the reality is that the old payout was 150% while the new one is only 120%. This makes the game unbeatable all by itself since your advantage was never high enough to overcome that.

They've also moved to continuous shuffling machines, where they load six or eight decks into the machine and recycle cards after every hand. This completely eliminates card counting as an option, as well as every other system I've ever heard of to get an advantage.

So, no, it's not "winnable" for the players any longer.

If you can find a casino that doesn't use continuous shuffling machines AND that pays out 3:2, then you MIGHT be able to eke out a few shekels, at least until the point when they notice you're counting cards and ban you -- or just send in cheating dealers, which happened to me twice, once at the Peppermill in Reno and once at a tribal casino north of Seattle (I don't remember the name).

Just to add, I talked to a former teammate a few years after I got out, and he'd joined up with a Vegas-based team run by one of the famous personalities in the blackjack-card-counting world. He wasted time for a couple of years trying to keep playing while that famous guy kept shoveling horseshit systems at the team. The famous guy's girlfriend was literally insisting that players wear jewelry trinkets while playing to bring them luck -- that was part of their new "system" that would let them keep playing. From what my former teammate said, nothing worked and the team eventually faded out and died. He went overseas for a bit and probably tried playing there but we completely lost contact when he left the country, so I have no idea if he found any places in Asia to play.

Of course but they just ban you if you win too much.
