You don't want to go out drinking every weekend anymore, you don't want to spend so much of your money on restraunts and cafes. The compromises that come with choosing an urban lifestyle just aren't as worth it.But in Europe you don't have much of a choice. I mean you can choose a more 'suburban' life, but it is not suburban in the same way that many US cities are. You end up spending as much or more of your pay check on your accomodation than an American for a lot less in return. Smaller houses, closer neighbours, no garage, and now that you're living further from the city centre you probably have a long commute to work on public transport. And all of that is assuming you're a middle class family man. If you're poor it's even worse. You'll be living in an apartment surrounded by migrants ans crime. In the US you can be poor and still live in a multi bedroom free standing home, and if you're smart about where you live you can even avoid niggers and just settle for being surrounded by White trash, while still being close enough to an urban centre that you can find a job.
