>>61979646While only a true fool would believe that any of this Iran stuff is calculated or “planned”, there’s may be a silver (or gold) lining. At least as far as metal prices and miners are concerned. The oil glut prior was substantial, and there are currently an estimated 80 million barrels loitering around the strait of hormuz. Along with the strategic 400 million barrels that are being pumped out now, this is not a small thing. The bull case ( or bear case for oil) would be, that through hook or craw the strait opens up somtime this month and the market is absolutely shaken by an unimaginable amount of oil that has too flow out in order to take the wells out of care and maintenance. (See Covid era, actual negative prices) Which, in itself is way too expensive to be feasible for a sustainable time. Trump just showed the world that they are basically idiots who forgot about every single war game ever played in regards to a regime change war in Iran and will more then likely have to make an agreement to stop the war, on more of irans terms then they will even admit. On a broader geopolitical stage, the USA has major egg on its face and reviled the Achilles tendon of the USA. Consumer comfort mixed with zero appetite for foreign wars.
