Is there any actual good way to find a job other than going on indeed? I'm just looking for a wagie job nothing too serious, I don't have any degrees or anything.
I don't know how to find one though, I've tried indeed before and got a few interviews that went no where. What am I doing wrong?
>>
>>61993932
I’ve been applying on LinkedIn, Indeed seems even more filled with scam posting somehow.
>>
>>61993941
I've never really used LinkedIn. Any good?
Seems like it's for more white collar work/clerical type stuff.
>>
>>61993941
Also fuck off Jeremy.
>>
>>61993932
https://jobs.1517fund.com/jobs
>>
>>61993932
What skills do you have? Any former colleagues you can lean on?
>>
>>61993957
Linkedln is fake and gay. Never hear anything back from that bottomless pit.
>>
I've been looking for heavy industries jobs, like field service, hydraulics and equipment maintenance in Europe, through Indeed/Glassdoor, and best I've got are only automated rejection e-mails. About 60% of my applications got a rejection e-mail back, even though I have education and work experience. Idk what I'm doing wrong, but I did see a Front End Developer get a job by posting a dumpling recipe as his resume.
>>
>>61995111
I just said I'm not really qualified for anything officially you gorilla nigger.
>>
Just use the company's website directly and look for openings in your area.
If they have you apply via Workday websites, you can disregard those jobs because they're effectively fake listings.
Answer your phone because the wagie managers might just directly call you to schedule an interview instead of emailing or using some faggy virtual assistant.
t. Starbucks wagie
>>
>>61995438
So I have to manually go to different companies websites and look for listings? Great that's gonna be a fucking hassle.
>>
What's the damn point of the Internet if we can't even fucking figure out who's hiring without checking 100 different pages everyday?
>>
>>61997037
this. its been shitted beyond repair and hidden behind paywalls
>>
>>61997037
It's so garbage, idk what the hell happened.
>>
>>61993932
> 2006, college freshman
> asked my friend starting business if i could work for him
> i've been working for the same company since that day
I guess it's not that hard.
>>
>>61997222
Kys faggot no one cares.
>>
>>61995378
Why would anyone hire you?
Did you not try hard in school?
So fucking weird how countless masses expect jobs when they offer nothing.
>>
>>61997248
Son, I have a firm handshake and can look a manager in the eyes.

NETWORK NIGGA

FOR THE MOST PART THE ERA OF APPLYING TO RANDOM SHIT ONLINE AND GETTING IT IS DONE UNLESS YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC NICHE YOU'RE FILLING LIKE NURSING/TEACHING

TALK TO PEOPLE YOU KNOW IRL YOU DUMBASS GOY
>>
>>61993932
You want some min wage retail/restaurant job? Look for place with help wanted signs. Ask a manger if they are hiring.
Office/warehouse jobs, go to a career fair or reach out to a temp agency.
Government jobs aren’t terrible either. (USA jobs.gov or whatever state jobs.gov)
Show up on time, don’t be on drugs, don’t be smelly/unclean. You got 80% of your competition beat.
You want more,
>>
>>61997427
Meant to say, you want more you’ll probably need at least an associates degree
>>
>>61997248
All that shit is bullshit and you know it. Most jobs are make work fucking useless jobs. Kys kike.
>>
>>61995349
>Idk what I'm doing wrong, but I did see a Front End Developer get a job by posting a dumpling recipe as his resume.
It's not easy for tech folk either. For every story you hear about 5 offers of six figure salaries and competing bids there's like a hundred thousand tech guys unemployed for six months+ despite plenty of experience.
>>
some guy on ig said ge called 15 companies and said HR told me to comtact you guys about setting up the interview, and apparently that's how he got a job
Even though he never got anything from HR, but he saaid big companies sont check. Out of those 15, 2 companies caught on to him. Which is fine cuz he was not getting a job regardless
>>
>>61993932
Go directly to the company website and apply directly.

Fuck LinkedIn
Fuck Indeed
Fuck Glassdoor

It took me ~300 applications to get a job.

Work harder. Not smarter.
>>
>>61997037
Mass surveillance. Anything else that happened along the way was an accidental side effect. See Brazil for a preview of coming attrocities.
>>
been also wondering on a new job at least, current one refused giving a better pay despite for a month or two of them saying we're all gonna 1 on 1 talk with team leads/coaches and get evaluated for better pay
then only for it to still be the same fucking 30 cents every year. Sick of the physical work and overnight killing my social life so at this point looking for anything that would be 16 bucks or more
>>
>>61993932
Anon, aim for seasonal jobs. They're a billion times easier to get in with, and usually last five or six months anyway. If you're really great they offer you full time but in my experience it's rarely worth taking. Worked at a ski resort over this past winter. Worked at a campground last summer. Might go on a fishing boat this summer, we'll see!

Any other advice? Haaalllpppp
>>
>>62007120
Use codex or openclaw to build an agent whose full-time goal is to find you a job
>>
>>62007141
How?
>>
Honestly it pays to have friends. A friend recently got me into a good job in the same corporation where I was previously fired for a scandal
>>
>>62007160
Well I don't have any friends that can get me a job. Kys.
>>
How do I easily make a resume? I need one for a government job.
>>
>>61993957
>>61993941
White collar, you gotta social max on LinkedIn which means a headshot, dressed up profile, cold DM'ing recruiters, applying for jobs and then DM'ing someone at the company saying you just applied and some bs question to get your name in their head. Posting your work and portfolio and interacting with other users posts in the same industry etc.
Fuck LinkedIn, but if you do all that, you'll get a job
>>
>>61997036
this >>61995438 works, especially if you're in a defined industry like SWE for example, researching the top companies and checking out their careers page is the best way to ensure the job posting is real and not a ghost job, ALSO timing matters a lot, generally you want to apply within the first 24hrs to get your Resume through, ontop of that you want to parse your Resume through a ATS scanner online to make sure you wont get auto filtered. And curate your CV for specific roles.

Unless its a wagie job, then it wont really matter all that much
>>
>>62007221
What's ab ats scanner?
I'm going for wagie jobs because that's all I'm cut out for right now. Tell me how to get wagie jobs.
>>
>>62007239
ATS scanners basically scan and filter you CV for keywords and ranks the CV based on the job description the recruiter provided - leading to it being scored out of 100, applications are filtered based on any metric, but a common one will be if it scores less that 80%.

Simple Resumes, one column, and curating your resume so it has keywords on it from the job description should at least gain you a phonecall or two in the short-medium term. for wagie jobs just apply early, with matching experience/job history and matching job description keywords should get your foot in the door. That being said you should be mass applying to many different companies, not every comp will get back to you.
>>
>>62007249
Thanks.
>>
>>61995349
Dont use those shit job posting sites. I've been looking into a electrical maintanance job. I've just scoured companies in my commute distance and looked into open positions on their websites. Then I just called them and asked if that position is still open. 90% of times they say yes because there is huge lack of qualified workforce. A week later I got the job. And pretty comfy too for good money.
>>
If in North America see if ULINE has any openings
Near me they hire for 2x minimum just to move boxes around warehouses or do customer service
I've done both of those so I can say getting used to it is doable
>>
>>61993932
I've never gotten a job off a website. Every job I've gotten by knowing someone.
>>
>>61993932
By having sex.

this boomer fuck is actually shilling for an associates degree in 2026

>>
>>62008819
Let me guess, you're also self made? I'd beat the fuck out of you, useless fucking eater.
>>
I went on Google maps and looked at places near me, then went looked up job hosting sites other than Indeed... although Indeed can still have some in your field but the good ones are probably just linked to apply on their website. I got plenty of rejection letters this past week before even setting up an interview but I got one finally from applying on the company website. Have AI look at your resume if you know it's not good enough to pay a professional on fiver to do it for you. No experience, ez certs, ez hire would be security + guard card, forklift cert for warehouse

If you are going Retail or Food Service (which sounds like it'll be one of these), then literally walk into the place of business in casual but nice clothes. Ask the first person you see (not the manager) if they are hiring and you'd like an application if so. They will get their manager or tell you where they are, then you talk to them.

There and only there will you get the answer if they are hiring. If they are you get an application. FILL OUT THE APPLICATION THERE IN THE STORE OR RESTAURANT. Then give it back, and now you should get an interview time. Rest is up to you.

Don't trust websites for jobs like what you're going after. If you have no degree or experience get the fuck off Indeed. Good luck
>>
>>61993932
I always suggest becoming a government wagie, very low standards. My first ever job was from governmentjobs.com
A CDL will get you far in public works, but needed immediately.

>indeed
I don't like sites like these because they often have incorrect or outdated listings. It's better the check out the employer's website you're interested in directly. The city I'm currently working for uses governmentjobs.com and always has everything up to date there.
>>
>>62011345
this was basically how I got my first job for a shit tier place like retail, literally just walk in and ask. They'll take even homeless people at this point I imagine cause it's a revolving fucking door of people

Anyone who is able to get a job under the current system of society has survivor bias. This shit is unlivable long term. Whenever I get a job I hold on to it for years, because as soon as I lose it, I go right back to looking at shitty fake job listings and application humiliation.

So what do you want in this thread that you keep bumping? Do you expect someone to give you a secret sauce to magically getting a job even though you are unironically worse than a homeless methhead? You will never pass any interview with that attitude. Not only do you lack any skills, you are unironically a trash human being. People like you should be rounded up and forced to do hard labor until death.
