Assume I wouldn't even have to drive very much, just around town randomly.
RV feels overkill, I think van life if you're single is better
trashy neighbors, lot fees are super gay, high maintenance, burn a lot of gas, easy to rob, difficult to sell, buying a used one is gross, and they depreciate quickly when you buy them new
>>62003573Van seems like an overkill. I think sedan life if you're single is better.
>>62003565If you deal from office like most people here you're supposed to get proper rest in a proper house. Like what the other goy posted, you're going to have to pay for lot fees after you purchased used RV in decent condition (incredibly rare) upfront. RV might be worth it if you're a nomadic dealer that can do your dealings from and at anywhere in the real world though.. preferably in North America or Central Asia. So it depends entirely on the goyim, what kind of goy are you?
>>62003633Sedan seems like an overkill. I think cardboard box life if you're single is better.
>>62003565It’s good, you can finance a good brand one for 10 or 15 years, and make your payments like $400 or less. You can also find a lot to rent for around the same cost as your RV payment, sometimes utilities are even included
>>62003565A RV like that costs as much as a small house, your reality will more look like what you call a trailer parkYoure maybe not allowed to park them anywhere you want or even in town
>>62003565It only works if you are a traveling tradie that can secure work at a jobs site for months on end and stay at a camp ground. I see this with the data centers they are building in my area. Some of the electricians will have a 5th wheel trailer and use the truck to commute to and from the campground.
>>62003565how is an rv good? just have a trailer rvs fucking suckmaybe even build it yourself since people try to scam you by marking them up too much
>>62004450Make pallet camper and you can go anywherehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpO63kVjFb0
It's neither here nor there. If you want something that big get a trailer or small house.A van is a better idea, ideally a stealth one that isn't obvious you are living in it. An RV or van that is clearly your home screams PLEASE COME HARASS AND/OR ROB ME.
Shit insulation if you live in the cold
>>62003565The trick is to buy some cheap strip of land then get a used 30k camper trailer and put it on it. Boom, you've got a house with no monthly payments and all you have to do is pay taxes on the land every year. The important part is to look very hard for a good deal. Someone I know got a very nice one, basically as large as a camper trailer can go, for 30k from a couple who didn't want it anymore. Never, ever buy from dealerships or buy new, they will vacuum money right out of your wallet.
>>62004695You need one of them RVs that you can rig to the back of a pickup truck and not take up extra space beyond the truck's original space. There was a guy that lived in one of these in a parking lot for two years where I'm at.
>>62004847that doesn’t seem like an improvement over living in a van
>>62003620You act like this asshole isn't just going to park in front of random houses and industrial zone "no mans land".
>>62004450this. some of the guys throwing up solar farms in western PA lived like this to save a portion of their per diem. might be worth it if you can secure a decent spot at the right price.
>>62003777An apartment seems excessive to me; a tent near a sewer and a place where syringes can be found seems more suitable for a single person.
>>62003565It can work in certain situations. Most of the time it's just better to rent with roommates or live with your parents. There are tons of youtubers living in vans, RVs, and even regular cars, some in cold climates.>>62004741You can always wear more layers for the cold. There are people who can sleep in tents in the Canadian woods during a snow. The real problem is heat. Assuming you can just spend time somewhere else during the day, if the night is above 30C good luck falling asleep. I once spent one summer without AC in a place where it's 43C during the day and around 28C-30C during the night. I was lucky enough to live on the ground floor so I was quite insulated during the day, and during the night I had to keep the main door open and only have a net aluminium door. I used to keep dozens of full water bottles so they could absorb heat during the day and radiate it out during the night using a fan. Shit like this is not feasible in a van. You will need a power source and use an AC.
>>62003565You may as well just get a condo. At least it'll increase in value.
>>62006081Yeah, people can technically not die in cold. You are 100% correct. It's not really a "gotcha!" moment if you wear 4 layers not to die when you exit your home when peopl in California literally never have to worry about their clothing. Still there is absolutely nothing you can do in -3 fahrenheit. You can walk from your house to a heated building. Without massive infrastructure people are just dead. You can enjoy a beverage outside at 95 fahrenheit. Heck, or just lie outside in the sunt. finnish turan
>>62003565The worst thing about living in an RV is where you have to shit. Unless you have a proper toilet you're going to hate whatever solution you get. You either shitting in a box you have to then empty by hand or you're shitting in a mini toilet that flushes into a tank under your feet that you have to empty or you're shitting into some weird variation with wood chips or blue Porto Potty water.
>>62004743You have to be careful with local laws if you do this. A lot of places won't let you live like that. Helps if you can use a family member's place for your home address.
>>62003565I don't think I could live my life taking a shit in a closet
>>62003565>Zoomers trying to normalise living in vehicles again
>>62003565living in your car is gross. I worked a security job 12 hour shift and had to use my car. Shit fuckin stank after awhile.
>>62008225No we're just trying to avoid living in a pod
>>62005211Fuck the tent. Live in the tunnel underneath the road.
>>62003565you would be better off buying a small house in the middle of nowhere
>>62003565If you get involved in a wreck with a vehicle, only your vehicle is ruined. If you get involved in a wreck with an RV, your vehicle and your home are both ruined.
>>62003565That thing is like living in a Barbie house with wheels.
If you own your own land, it's fine.Private equity firms are buying up long-term stay RV lots to financially rape the already impoverished so it's not any cheaper than renting.Full time travel is even worse. You'll need your own heavy duty truck and all the maintenance that entails. Fuel prices are spiking. Car insurance is spiking. Many RV lots aren't any cheaper than hotels. And if your RV is too large, you're not going to make it in and out of public land so boondocking is off the table.
>>62010078>Sorry Stacey, I'd totally have you over tonight if my place wasn't in the shop.lel
Get a pre covid built 26' max trailer. Nash, arctic fox, outdoor RV are some of the best ones. Now you can go boon docking anywhere on BLM and National Forest, there are so many places all over the country. Avoid staying in camp sites, see anon's post about it. I would only stay for a night if I'm travelling somewhere. Anything over 30', and you limit yourself severely regarding where you can park it. Water is available everywhere, even dumps, you can use ioverlander to find water, dumps, even boondocking spots. Get a Starlink for internet, you'll do great anon.
>>62003633Why pay for automotive mobility at all? Nice coleman tent and a bike and you're mobile for a fraction of the price.
>>62003565You aren’t allowed at Buc-ee’s which invalidates the entire point of OTR trucking jobs and RV life.
>>62003573>>62003633>>62003777>>62005211>>62009971Lmao, my sides!! Updooted!!!Edit: Wow thanks for the gold stranger!
