Aside from loading the trucks and driving the trucks, nothing requires being in an office at all. Boomer managers just like the idea that they can "poke their head in" your cubicle and tell you to... email/call someone or look something up online that you will then send to them in a Microsoft Teams chat. Somehow looking at you makes them feel like they are addressing the "urgency" much more directly than calling or pinging you.Boomer managers are also never in the office, they spend most of their time traveling to see other Boomer managers in other offices.
