How can I be financially independent without a lot of money?
>>
>live at home
>don't own a car
boom right there you save like $2000 a month. If you are willing to be autistic and go frugalmaxxing then you can eat the same meal everyday for the rest of your life but personally thats a bit too extreme for me I'm fine with personally just doing the first two as they have the biggest impact
>>

You can't. Money IS financial freedom, and just freedom in general. This is the case around the world. If you don't have money then you don't have freedom. If you don't have money then you have to stay at the same shit job, you have to drive the same beat up car, you have to eat the same cheap noodles, you have to stay in the same shitty apartment, you can't hang out with >friends, you can't even entertain the idea of dating, and so on.
With money, you can have whatever the fuck you want, WHEN you want it.
>>

if you can get your expenses down to zero, you can be retired at conception. literally that easy
>>
>>62014491
>retired at conception
that's called abortion

Why not a low-maintenance car? It could help a ton if he is working
>>
a job
>>
>>62014514
There are a handful of old cars that are low maintenance. Everything else is a shit heap waiting to grenade.

It isn't. They work just fine. You're just old.

These. You need SOME income, but minimizing expenses goes a long way.
>no car
>pay off mortgage
>pay off all loans
>establish adequate monthly income
That leaves you with groceries, utilities, discretionary stuff, and healthcare/insurance.

I could retire now if I was more frugal. If you're in the US, the best way to do this is to enlist in the military, get blown up or otherwise severely damaged, and then get gibs. Disability compensation is untaxed and lifelong. I will get $1800 for forever and it gets adjusted for inflation. My healthcare is also fully covered, either at VA facilities or charged to the VA and that INCLUDES overseas healthcare. I have paid off my car. The only thing left is to buy property outright somewhere poor. Permanent residency is difficult overseas but there are tons of poor shitholes stateside that will work fine. Working in healthcare is an automatic ticket into any country, and after you get PR you can just stop working. Italy's digital nomad visa + online part time work + my cripple money would be adequate, assuming I lived in a town in a terrone shithole and didn't drive. For most normies the only way to do this is to invest a ridiculous amount if money such that, eventually, it generates adequate monthly income. This is almost impossible if you also have to pay your mortgage off, while also juggling car/life/health/child expenses.

Nigger they literally burst into flames and cook occupants alive, not to mention is spies on you 24/7 AND costs like +40k. How the fuck is that supposed to be "frugal"? When someone says "a reliable vehicle" they're talking about old toyotas, not some janky oven on wheels.
>>

>Nigger they literally burst into flames and cook occupants alive
No, gas cars are way more likely to burst into flames. Plus, each door has a manual opener, people are just too retarded to research what they're buying.
>not to mention is spies on you 24/7 AND costs like +40k.
You can disable the feature that sends your video to Tesla. Secondly your phone is doing the same thing.
>When someone says "a reliable vehicle" they're talking about old toyotas, not some janky oven on wheels.
My Corolla required more maintenance and had way more random shit breaking.
>>
>>62014641
I don't a word you say, especially with the whatabouts. And that "door opener", it's called a DOOR HANDLE. Are you even white?
>>
>>62015001
Everything I said is a fact from having owned both. You haven't even owned both. You don't even know that Teslas have a button to open the door and not a handle.
>>
>>62015023
My car is far less likely to lock me inside an oven and burn me to a crisp like a jew.
>>
>>62015023
lol yeah, a button that only works if your vehicle isnt on fire holy kek
>>
>>62015112
No it's not. Gas cars are far more likely to catch fire.
>>62015118
It has a secondary latch to open it. Are you able to follow conversations?
>>
>>62015130
if you really cared about evs you would get a nissan or a ford instead of a migamobile
>>
>>62015130
My door will still open if the car catches on fire. Your teslas door button cuts out if the battery dies (and catches on fires and explodes, incinerating you).

Just admit that you spent too much money on a death trap and move on. Coping on the internet isn't going to change your poor financial habits.
>>
>>62015134
Fuck that. Tesla is the most developed manufacturer with greatest charging network.
>>62015136
Nope, it has a secondary latch on every door which doesn't need electricity. And my car is less likely to catch fire than yours, which is filled with gasoline.
And, I don't pay for gas or waste 24 hours of my life every year at a gas station. LOL

>If you are willing to be autistic and go frugalmaxxing then you can eat the same meal everyday for the rest of your life

Honestly you should default to basically the same thing most days, most meals. If you want to go out occasionally cool but if you're not yet financially secure enough to deal with something blowing up or losing your job or whatever do that.

If you decide what you're eating kinda by default (unless say you have some event or a date or whatever) it gets easy. You time max because that shit can be prepped. Your time max shopping too. You also save loads because you can predict exactly how much of something you need, so you can buy in bulk and without waste. It also becomes cost-effective/time-effective to try and source individual ingredients you wouldn't otherwise. You also nutrition-max because eating the same shit daily is the easiest way to get consistent calorie intakes and be able to plan your shit well.
>>
>>62015143
I will accept your surrender.
>>
>>62014514
If you can go without a car I'd recommend it. I have my license and if I really need to use it I'll ask my parents and in return I'll cook them dinner or do some act of appreciation like mowing the lawn. An Ebike can be a great option as you don't have to worry about insurance, or yearly inspections.
>>62014628
Agree. I make about what some states minimum wage is (it's not min wage in my state though) and I have more money invested than some of my friends that make like $50-60k a year just because they have $300 monthly car payments and $1300 rent. They ask me if I'm secretly a content creator or some shit because they genuinely can't believe it kek.
>>62015172
I kind of meant like buying rice and beans in massive bulk orders and not getting anything else but that and sardines.
>>
>>62014442
give 5 bjs a day thats a 100 dollars per day 36.5k per year tax free
