My house and two cars are paid off. $185k a year is comfy, where I can buy whatever I reasonably want, don’t have a budget, can take a vacation and am able to save money every year ($20-$60k). We could get by with some budgeting, very little savings and a cheap ass vacation with like $95k but after a couple years we’d probably have a home repair or car bill or something that would blow out the budget.
